I received mine earlier this week and am also impressed with the sound. I'm just a listener who was frustrated with my previous Mackie CR3 and Presonus Eris 3.5. I intended to connect the LP-UNF connected via USB-C. When I do that, I experience numerous static-y/crackly clicks when starting, pausing, or stopping music in Foobar2000 or any other playback app, or videos or music clips in Chrome or Firefox. Someone suggested could have been due to exclusive mode, but disabling that made no difference. I've used 7 different USB DACs on this system connected to that same USB2.0 port and never experienced anything like that before. There's no such behavior when I use the RCA inputs fed by a Topping D10 USB DAC. Annoying to say the least as I had to pull that DAC from another system and will have to replace it with something else now.
Drop our customer service a line and they'll sort you out!
I was hesitant to buy LP-6's to use in my tiny room upclose, and LP-UNF seems to be the perfect solution. I think they'll be a great upgrade from my iLoud Micros. Can't wait to see reviews on these
seems a good compromise between size and specs and price (the integrated dac costs at least $50 for a entry level balanced usb dac such as moondrop dawn pro +$20 for balanced cables minus the clutter :)) nice upgrade to iloud micro it seems, would love to read comparisons between these 2, lp-unf with a bigger cabinet than the iloud micro should go lower with bass
UPDATE: just received LP-UNF's they are incredible for my small room! adequate bass response, clear highs, I just need to get used to them
I also need to buy stands (maybe like the ones on the video) otherwise they sit below my ears due to desk height
I never comment on youtube but I got to tell you this. Today i got my first ever studio monitors in-8 v's. Got to say i love them, the mids are so clear. Bass/sub is lacking, i was expecting that because my room is untreated. I've been producing and mixing for little over year now and only with headhpones. Let me tell you how much fun it to pruduce and mix with these monitors, althought my room is untreated. These speakers gives me so honest view of my shitty mixes :D I did fast pre mix test to see how would it go and translate to other devices. It was super easy to trust my ears with these monitors (i dont trust that much with my headphones) and it gave imidiate improvment to my mix. Ofc i have to check low end with headphones etc. Going to spend whole day tomorrow with speaker placement and little acoustic treatment.
Wanted just say that you are doing amazing job and i could not be any happier with my purache! If anyone asks me im defenitily going to recommend your products✌️
in5 would be better with WS-6.2 sub, you could money towards the sub and make the whole think 2x better!
Thanks so much! Glad you're enjoying them!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love that these have a USB-C input. The big miss, a subwoofer output.
Their sub has the ins and outs. It forces you to buy their unit.
@@officialWWM but then you would also need a DAC. If the sub had a USB-C input and a built in DAC, and it could output to monitors, OK. But it doesn’t.
@@mwahlert it has regular inputs and then outputs to the monitors. Pretty straightforward 🤷🏻♂️
@@officialWWM you are missing the point of my original statement, to which you replied.
@@mwahlertsubs need to be first in the chain, as they act as high pass filters - makes no sense to have a sub out on any monitors or 2.0 passives in-line with a sub.
Hi! What is the ohm resistance value of the woofer in the IN8 v2 ?
I tried some JBL speakers with an input switch, but one of the options was ALL. So you could hear all sources at once, would something like this be possible, maybe with a firmware update?
I have only one source playing anyway, but having to unplug the usb is not ideal.
Can you get more distributors in Australia? I can’t find them anywhere!
Glad to see Kali is not dead, but seems a bit at least in Europe, everything out of stock, still no 2nd wave white, was waiting to buy IN-5 2ns wave but seems they are not releasing it.. is there any prevision??
They are on their way to our warehouse in Netherlands!
Got them. Like them. Does the analog inputs get ad converted inside again?
They do! A-D to get digital processing for tuning and the limiter, and then D-A to the transducers
I just ordered these speakers and I've got a question about the USB connectivity. My PC does not have any USB-C ports, so would it be possible to connect these speakers with a USB-C to USB-A cable? And would this have any (negative) side-effects? Thanks!
Should work without a problem.
What speaker stands are being used in this demonstration?
These are from our friends at Soundrise!

Kali Bluetooth headphones in the works???
what in the lp-unf makes it more suitable for near field compared to lp6 ( other than having a smaller footprint on the desk) ?
Don't discount the smaller footprint!
Also the LP-UNF has more tunings for desktop use, and doesn't require an interface since it has USB-C.
You are replying about features, i was asking about sound quality differences berween lp-unf and lp-6 so i am understand that lp6 sound better than lp-unf even in the near field destop situation.
@@amanieuxin very small rooms often smaller speakers can have tighter bass that is less muddy (not always though and usually more of an issue with 8”+ drivers)
@@amanieux from a pure sonic perspective, assuming the LP-6s are properly set up with the right dipswitch for a desk, the LP-6 will have marginally less distortion.
would it be smart to incorporate a Kali 6.5 sub into these?
Sure would be! Get all the way down into the 20s!
can we hook these up to a interface and use a keyboard workstation like a korg pa 5x with it?
Oh heck yeah!
what is your return/exchange policy? i wanteither the LP UNFs or the LP 6 v2@@kaliaudio
@@ottomanbeatsofficial We sell everything through retailers, and most of them are pretty generous about exchanges.
So wait do they come with the desktop stands or no??
They don't! Those are from Soundrise!
Can we use these if room is untreated?
An untreated room will still have all it's problems, but using a lower SPL speaker like this reduces those problems' effect on what you're hearing.
Kali Bluetooth headphones? That's interesting
You saw nothing... :)
oooooooh damn :O now that's an exciting thing
Hey if you guys make headphones like u make speakers it’s going to be a game changer! But I was curious on when you guys will let TH-camrs get them so they can do audio reviews on this ones? I haven’t seen a video yet on this would love to see how the sound translates. I’m interested on getting a second pair and I love this so yeah 😅
@@Beatsnmotivation They're in some folks' hands!
Its just missing the aux and headphone jacks 😒
headphones when ????
we need audio samples not bunch of talking.
impossible, silly. You need the speakers in YOUR room. Not a youtube video recording the speakers with a microphone. It's not a recording device or microphone it's a playback system. You would be getting second hand audio at best maybe third if you count TH-cam's downgraded audio.
oh its very possible. There is a dedicated TH-cam channel that compares studio monitors and its pretty accurate. Im not going to go spend hundreds of dollars just to not like them, then have kali audio say
" we have a restocking fee" @@williamillington
if buy two sets will i have a passive pair and active pair? so i could use a pair with an amp
This is very much not recommended.
