"Achy Breaky Heart" is a song written in 1990 by Don Von Tress. First released in 1991 by The Marcy Brothers with the title "Don't Tell My Heart", it was later recorded by Billy Ray Cyrus and released on his debut album Some Gave All in 1992. The song is Cyrus' debut single and signature song . It became the first single ever to achieve triple Platinum status in Australia [1] and also 1992's best-selling single in the same country.

My sister loved this song and i laughed about it. But i'm so thankful for this man, because his daughter Miley is what this generation needs! And any older person who says that talent is gone these days, is just stuck in history and can't see the great talent we have these days. I'm a very thankful 42 years old mother of a 7 year old son who loves to teach him that talent isn't about decates or years! Thank you Billy for passing your talent. And i'm sorry for laughing at this song, because now i like it because of the many loving memories this song has created. And if there is one thing i've learned, it is that not any music song is wrong! A song can mean so much to somebody, so never ever laugh about it, accept when the song is about laughing. ;)

That's not riff raff. It's actually Miley Montana's father. Miley took her mother's name after the divorce, this song was written about Momma Montana. I can't interpret sarcasm because I'm a Billy Boy Cyrus fan. Back then it was a show of class to dress that way, that's how you knew where the meth was.

He should do a show with the band that originally sang this. BRC is not the first and only one that recorded this. There was a band before him that Don Von Tress gave the song to called The Mercy Brothers and they did the song when it was titled Don't Tell My Heart.

Their version was never released as a single. Cyrus bought the rights from Tress and chose to share the royalties with him anyway.
