Batter was safe at home because he was interfered with after turning from third base towards home plate by the catcher who blocked him in the baseline near third base. The catcher did not have the ball.
great rundown but in college and pros that is interference with the catcher. Once that catcher touches the runner, it is an automatic base advance. That may have been the same in that state and the umps missed it
Second baseman and shortstop were both trying to catch the fly ball. Third baseman ran too late to cover second. Catcher ran too late to cover third. The two players nowhere to be found are the pitcher and first baseman. Pitcher should have covered second. Failing that, should have covered third. First baseman should have covered home when catcher ran to third.
This play is called " WALK IT IN " . The outfielder holds the ball , slow walks towards the infield keeping the runner guessing whats up and hopefully you catch him napping .
Batter should have listened to the third base coach.
Catcher came real close to runner interference.
Great baseball IQ by both players!!

The catcher looks to be inside the running path of the runner. No contact. The catcher did not cause him to alter his path. I have to disagree
Amazing, one man team saves the day ! That one play just may be his ticket. What an amazing play and his team mates just kinda walk around.

Obstruction, actually.
That center fielder is amazing fast! I too heard about this from the Seattle Mariners announcer Rick Rizz.
Meanwhile, the second baseman was no where to be found

Please send this to Jomboy for a breakdown!
It was a good idea by the runner when he saw the catcher at 3rd base. Just didn't expect the fielder to be so fast
That’s Derek Stingley speed.
Incredible hustle
Awesome call BLUE!!!
Biden 2024
Yep, for more unrest globally, more inflation, more illegals, and more disrespect on the world stage vote Biden…I don’t think so!
So, they finally let Dash play some baseball. “I promise to slow up!”
Pretty amazing
Could have saved a lot of energy by just throwing the ball to #24
Catcher obstructed the runner rounding third. Should have been awarded home.
You’re Out!
Thank you Seattle Mariners announcer Rick Rizz for mentioning this insane play!
I umpire HS baseball.
Love the Monty Python and Looney Tunes 😊😊
