- Nadat in december 2020 een groot deel van de geplande programmering noodgedwongen moest worden afgelast, nemen Janine Jansen en Amihai Grosz, de artistieke programmeurs van editie 2020, nu revanche met een extra zomereditie van het Internationaal Kamermuziek Festival Utrecht in TivoliVredenburg!

So this is what happens when three great musicians manage to inspire each other from the very beginning. The pianist was new to me, what a poet, breathtaking yet never short of breath, whilst Janine and Mischa were throughout at their very best. Thank you, thank you, for a memorable performance.
Janine Jansen is such a treasure: I love watching her, her face is so expressive, it helps me appreciate the music. And, true to form, if you look closely you will see she had tears on her face at the end. She held the silence for a long moment at the end--one of the only performers I know of (Claudio Abbado is another) who understands the importance of a deep moment of contemplation after so much emotional tumult...
Jensen can not be so intense all the time! Too much of a good thing.
