Thank you, Michael!
Nice! I can’t wait to try this. I’ve been stuck using the clone tool one way for years.
I've been using the clone stamp for years and I never knew any of this. Once again you've increased my knowledge of this amazing software.
Awsome! :)
Thank you! quick and to the point
Another perfect and needed tip for me...
Awesome tip!!!!!! In real estate many times the wood floor is blown out from the sun in certain spots like in front of a window, this tip will let you rotate the floor copy to line up with the blown out original section. Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I live and die with keyboard shortcuts. This was extremely useful for me. Thank you - a game changer.
You're welcome, Frank!
I didn't even realise you could change source size and rotation, so the video was worth it for that alone. Thanks.
You're welcome!
Thanks! I use the clone stamp regularly and so often in my rush, forget the power of these adjustments. The shortcuts will save time and improve workflow.
Awesome, David! I'm glad this video will help you improve your workflow!
You're one of the best out there Jesus. I always learn something new from your tutorials. Thanks for the effort!
You're welcome!
Thank you - I didn't know about these extra clone stamp options

You're welcome!
Muchas gracias!
De nada!
Great Tips!
Thank you!
WOW. Will try this on my Mac Photoshop Cs3 and hope most will apply. Have not been using the clone stamp all these yrs for artwork/photos which is ridiculous not to have. Is of great benefit. Think I tried once or twice and was not working well for me. Also, there was a repetitive pattern when filling in grass in spots in a photo. Got impatient with results I did not know how to change. Your direction seems VERY clear. THANKS for your tut. Have subscribed.
This is super useful!
Great! Thanks for watching!
Cool, thanks I didn't know about those shortcuts! Nice job!
Thank you, Tom!
fantastic thank you
You're welcome!
thanks it does help a lot thanks for sharing
You're welcome!
Excellent. I was totally unaware of these short cuts and indeed had not appreciated the depth of the panel either. Very useful as long as I can remember them!!
Glad you liked them, Martin! If you can't remember the shortcuts, at least remember the panel!
I knew the panel, but your shortcuts would work better because of the preview with the cursor actually being on the canvas instead of over there adjusting items in the panel, correct?
Yeah, you get a better visual representation. And it's faster, of course.
These were super useful. I had no idea about these shortcuts!
I'm glad you found this helpful!
excellent
Thank you!
many thanks is great tutorial
You're welcome, Emma!
Thank you for the tips! To avoid "repeats" I often wished I could vary the size or rotation a bit. Now I know how.
You're welcome! I'm glad that you found it useful!!!
Excellent as always. While I may not recall the shortcuts when I go to use this at some future date, I will recall the capability is there and be able to invoke them via the menu. Many thanks
You're welcome, Mike!
very good.
Thank you!
Once again a great tutorial, Jesus. I will definitely will be using these shortcuts.
Thank you, Mike!
Awesome
Thank you!
I use the Clone Stamp tool regularly but honestly I did't had any idea about this shortcuts to nudge, scale, or rotate the sample source.
Thanks for your support.
You're welcome, Mario!
Awesome shortcuts I didn't know existed! Will definitely use these when working on more complex projects.
Do you know if this shortcut keystrokes (nudge, scale and rotate, specifically) applies exclusively to Photoshop clone tool or whether they are available in other Adobe products such as Illustrator or InDesign for an active object?
Curtis, I don't know if these shortcuts work on other Adobe apps. Sorry about that!
Another informative tutorial. Can you also flip the image you are cloning? In other words, take the right hand side and make it the left. I heard that there was a command for this but I cannot find it.
Thanks.
Sadly I didn't know any of these shortcuts... and I hope not to forgot them ever again. Thanks so much!
Still this question: do you know of a shortcut switching between the 5 available sample sources?
Marc, I don't think there is one. But if you find it, let me know.
Can we resize the stamp tool?
Thank you very much for this tutorial ♥
How can I pin the anchor point of the clone stamp so no need to return to this point every time I need to clone a tiny small area in my pic??!!
In think that what you are reffering to is the "Align" checkbox in the Options Bar.
let me see, try it and I hope it is what I need.
I'll help.
ALT + SHIFT + upArrow, downArrow, rightArrow, or leftArrow ] -- moves the clone source point. This allows you better precision over where to clone from.
ALT+ SHIFT + > or ALT+SHIFT + < --- rotates the sample source
ALT + SHIFT + ] or ALT + SHIFT + [ --- changes size of the sample source
The menu item 'Window/Clone Source' will pull up all of these tools. You can type in the offset (precision), rotation, and scale. You can also save five different sample sources and return to that source on any 1 source image.
ALSO, you can clone from one source file to another. You can even clone from your desktop, and images found on pages on the internet. These do not have to be loaded into Photoshop to be cloned from.
Excellent video, thanks a lot...
My only doubt is how can I rotate to the other side the source? I mean with the ">" sign????
Ps:I have no problem with "
Just at side of Shift
How can I clone from another file source?
Many thanks
Jesùs, why would we want to use the Offset option, when we can place the offset wherever we start painting with the Clone Stamp tool? Also -- if you have not already done so -- would you consider producing a tutorial that goes into more detail about the Clone Source Panel, showing us what all the options mean, and how to use them? Thank you!
Regarding the offset, once you start painting you may need to clone from a different area near by the original point, and you can just quickly nudge it, instead of setting another sample point.
I don't have a tutorial on that, but a good idea for a future one.
Thanks, Lórien!
Thank you, Jesùs -- I will look forward to that. I always learn so much from your tutorials!
You should have mentioned the invert check box. Sometimes you need this to bringing variation to textures to blend the duplicate clones.
It's not working with my keyboard.. im using k120 logitech keyboard. In one video i heard this shortcuts only work with north american keyboard. If so would you recommend me any low budget north american keyboard.. because this shortcuts are crucial for my work. Please
in my laptop iam using photoshopcc .. while iam changing the angle of clone stamp tool it is changing the angle with very less degrees.. how can i make it to fastly changing the angle..?
is there a way to just repeat a single point pattern without the cursor position moving with the source cursor ?
I don't think there is one. But if you find out, let me know!
how to make the clone source static ? so whenever i move i want the same source not to move with it
Tutorial images please
nice and useful tutorial, only you also need to explain that the button Aligned has to be switched on, otherwise those shortcuts don't work
yes!
Dawn how many times does some1 has to tell me that you can rotate and shrink the sample source... and not do additional steps to mimic afterwards and get annoyed ???
THANKS... hopefully it will sink in this time!!
You're welcome, Jens!!!
HELP.
Jesus i love these tricks but it really doesnt work on my keyboard :-( I just cant routate the stamp tool. the < and > is on one and the same button, but anyway nothing happens. I have a german keyboard. Do you have any tip or other shortcut that could work :-(
Are you using another language besides English? I realized recently that these shortcuts only work on the English version of Ps.
Photoshop Training Channel
My language on pc and Photoshop is in German.
Really thank you for remembering my question :-) !! I will try it again with English language setting.
👍
✌️
what does offset mean?
Offset is the point to clone from. Say you chose poorly and want to change the starting point from where to clone from. This offset allows you to adjust the center from where you first set the clone stamp's middle point.
Jesus Ramires you are the only one.... thank you...god bless you too....
Thank you, Rogerio!
I may be six years too late but in PS 2024 I can't get the keyboard shortcuts to work. The clone source disappears once I select option/Shift on Mac Sonoma. Also with the clone source tools I have to move my mouse to change parameters and by doing that I no longer see the clone source on my image
Nice video but the scale shortcut doesn't work for me.
Youngbeautifulwomenonthestreet.jpeg lmao
I didn't name the file. lol
this works with a mouse not a pen I have to put the pen down and it doesn't work then or I am really stupid!
The keyboard shortcuts to nudge... rotate the sample don't work for me :(
