I have learned so much from phlearn. I am definitely considering going to graphics design classes for college so that I can become a pro at this. I do album covers, flyers, and other things for friends and family and they love what I do but I'm am no why near being professional at this. Learning from phlearn has taught me all of the basics and a lot of professional ways of doing things. I highly recommend this guy to anyone who want to learn photoshop. He's a very good teacher and if you miss something you can always watch over and over again until you get it right. Thanks phlearn. And thank you Aaron.
You always give the best tutorials but your advice at 7:40 about leaving particular physical characteristics alone is the best advice you could ever give! These people will recognize when things aren’t exactly as they are in real life and who knows, that scar or birthmark that you think isn’t attractive might be the very thing that they love most about them. This is just one of the many reasons I sub’d years ago.
Best advanced cloning tutorial ever. You've helped me solve several problems I've always had with the clone tool. I've always had problems with the clone dialog box ever since it was introduced. They are all gone. Thanks, thanks, thanks. I work with animal photography and fur hides a lot of mistakes. I feel like I've gone from mediocre and sloppy to exact and professional.
I used to watch the official Adobe tutorials on TH-cam, and man, I've been a subscriber here for a couple of months, but those videos are laughable in comparison to how throughout you are with the lessons. Best of all, not only do you show examples of where you can use the techniques, but you give beginner lessons on composition and lighting. Something people go through for years and years in school, you explain quickly and easily for the current project. As soon as I can invest more into Photoshop, like a Wacom tablet and other things, I'll be sure to purchase at least a few lessons to support you for making these free ones. Keep up the good work!
Official Adobe Tutorials are a punishment if we compare with Phlearn, haha. This is true, sometimes i fall sleep with the officials, because of the teachers... are... boring! Aaron make funny the classes, and this is very important, because he put passion on it, more than others do i think
Seeing and learning new techniques in photoshop always makes me feel like I'm learning magic 😊😀you can make things out of scratch and also make them disappear in seconds! Thank you guys for the awesome videos! Keep up the good work!
+Phlearn Photoshop and Photography Tutorials how can I select and area and make a brush out of what's inside that area. And i DONT mean a brush with only black and white. I know how to do that. I mean to take EVERYTHING that there is at this area and make a brush WITH THE COLOR just like the stump tool (but the stump tool samples much more than the actualy area stumped). !? Thanks :)
I must tell you how grateful I am for your tutorials. I've learned so much from you, much more than from school I went to. And i only started watching your tutorials two months ago...I find myself knowing more and more and even speed through some of the videos now;) Thank you.
I had no idea about the transparency lock feature, and the paint brush technique used after that! Thanks so much. Really helpful. Hope the Phlearn team has been doing well, Cheers.
I read the title of this tutorial and I go "I know how to use the clone stamp tool, come on Aaron!". Then I click on the tutorial and watch anyway and go "holy $h1t, I didn't know that". Thanks Aaron!
As always, great info. may I make a suggestion about the placing of your clip on mic. Clip it to the left or right of your collar, as the resonance from your 'voice box' is picked up and adds a muffled quality to your voice sound. For people who have hearing issues, this can add a distortion that can have them struggling to hear your words correctly. I often see TV broadcasters using the centre point to clip the mic, but the last thing you want is direct contact around the voice box. Try listening to your mic output via headphones, with different positions, and see which is the clearest. You might even try in front of you near the computer, as you are forward facing. Thanks for teaching us your skills, hopefully some of mine might help you.
I am totally knew to photo shop I have watched many youtube videos, you have an excellent instructional technique, I am now getting confident and adventurous with photo shop thanks to your excellent videos, thanks look forward to seeing more videos.
This was a huge help. I had not used Clone stamp in a long time and forgot essential functionalities of the tool itself. As always love your tuts and keep up the good work.
you just added a whole new dimension to my apparently non-existant clone stamp skills. thanks so much! i never knew about transparency lock and i also never thought about cloning to a new layer and then transforming it.
Love it Aaron!! Nice trick with the transparency lock! Wish they would have invented that coloring books when I was a kid. Will have to come and visit my fave Ph folks in Chicago again soon. Cheers!
Thank you so much aaron. You always show a little bit more than i expect from PS,, and really opening my mind to improve skills. You are a very good teacher. Keep the good teaching! I found the clone stamp one of the most powerful tool in PS.
I'm so glad I came across your channel! I've watched 2 of your vids and I've learned so much! Its so hard to find PS tutorials that are easy to follow! Thanks so much!
You are tops! Thanks for sharing your know how with us. Thanassis Fournarakos, Retired (2011) Professional Photographer, born in 1946. Best regards from Athens, Greece.
Thanks for this tutorial, it's really good. Just maybe for us beginners you could mention that first. we need to press alt in order to copy from the image below and then just click were you want to "paint" with the clone. It's basic, but we beginners need to learn everything from zero hehe. Thanks a lot for teaching us!
Yeah, thanks Aaron. Watching the way you removed that lapel mic really helped. I've been using clone stamp for a while now and getting the tones to blend in properly has always been an issue. Not anymore!
You always recognize anew the complexity and flexibility of this "simple tool".
You never stop learning. Thanks Aaron for this tutorial!
