Whenever I hear beautiful music like this I close my eyes and imagine it is Erik from Gaston Leroux’s Phantom Of The Opera playing for Christine. I have read the book over 60 times since I was 14 years old and I love all the music that the author mentions in the story. I can picture Erik playing the violin or a piano or organ. But I can especially imagine him singing with the voice of an angel. My favorite part of the book is when Erik has brought Christine to see his rooms below the opera house. He shows her his bedroom and Christine sees the notes to Dies Irae written in red all over the walls. Then she notices the coffin and Erik tells he that is where he sleeps. Many people would be scared to see such a sight but I would be enraptured as I am sure Christine was. I hope this has inspired many of you reading these words to read the book. Please. You won’t regret it.
