Paganini was considered the "Devil's Violinist" because of his incredible talent and unconventional playing style, which was rumored to be the result of a deal with the devil. He was also known for his dark and mysterious appearance and his ability to captivate audiences with his performances. Additionally, some of his compositions were considered to be so difficult to play that they were thought to be impossible without supernatural assistance.
so i read one of his songs he would cut some of his violin strings (with scissors I guess? I don't know) as part of the performance? Kinda a-la Hendrix setting his guitar on fire? I would love a link to a recreation to one of those performances if anyone knows of one.
People label the thing they did not understand as 'magic', 'devil's work', 'supernatural' and etc. Human being are capable of so many things yet we did not realized that.

Сейчас в свободном доступе можно слушать музыку виликих композиторов, а также арии в исполнении замечательных оперных певцов. Слушая такие произведения хочется делать и видеть только прекрасное. As a violinist, playing Paganini's music is a unique experience. It's often very difficult but at the same time feels incredibly natural for my hands. Vivaldi is a bit similar, but this is so stark with Paganini it's uncanny.

Classical music in our country ranges from songs that are purely for expressing love or devotion to our Gods to musical pieces that are only there for vocal or instrumental training.

I agree, for me it feels like a man valuing his place in society he gained through his music and he is in his element while being able to perform in front of audience of rich men he thought would never might admire him when he was a child. Prodigal talent put to work with a singular goal of entertaining rich men. I just think it would be cool if he could lose a little bit of that self valuing temperament and play pieces he is afraid audience won't like. From the sound of it, this the thing he struggled with.
Don’t forget that Paganini was also a phenomenal guitarist too. He composed for the classical guitar. It’s not every day where you have a virtuoso in two different instruments.

As a composer, I have to say that music does have a huge barrier. I have composed hundreds of works, but I could have composed hundreds more if were not for the paper pushers and faceless bureaucrats who wasted my time with their worthless forms and petty rules. Has been the case for hundreds of years, and will always be the case sadly. There are those who create, and those who take and destroy.
Oh music is absolutely a language, the beauty of it however is that you don't have to know how to read or speak it to understand it, you just have to feel it!
I went to one of his concerts in 1837, superlative! Garters and wigs were flying on stage, ladies were fainting and there was a rush of medical carriages to rescue them! I even managed to get a selfie painted with him! Unforgettable

One of the best! I adore. The only thing with Paganini, is that sometimes, his compositions are very intense, so I can't listen to them day after day. I have to choose the right time to get into his compositions.

I'm far from being musically talented in any instrument, but years back I bought a very nice violin for a beginner and went to TH-cam for help so I can teach myself. I had watched and listened to many play the violin and thought it would be way easier to learn, than say the guitar or another stringed instrument. I was quickly humbled and now even more so after listening to Paganini play.

primeiramente essas composições são belíssimas, estou entrando no mundo da música clássica e fiquei impressionado com tanta beleza e profundidade musical. segundamente coloquei essa playlist para ouvir no escuro e depois de algum tempo só consigo enchergar paganini como se ele tivesse de olhos abertos, o que deixa tudo muito mais sombrio e emblemático. The music is, of course, superb. And the art is perfect, worth staring at as the music plays on. In the art, the violinist's eyes seem both closed and open...and the look in the open eyes speaks of both Heaven and Hell. And so we are back to the music, which speaks of both so eloquently. (And, no, I haven't indulged in cannabis...but who needs to, when ordinary life can bring us such divine pleasure?)

I agree, for me it feels like a man valuing his place in society he gained through his music and he is in his element while being able to perform in front of audience of rich men he thought would never might admire him when he was a child. Prodigal talent put to work with a singular goal of entertaining rich men. I just think it would be cool if he could lose a little bit of that self valuing temperament and play pieces he is afraid audience won't like. From the sound of it, this the thing he struggled with.
Don’t forget that Paganini was also a phenomenal guitarist too. He composed for the classical guitar. It’s not every day where you have a virtuoso in two different instruments.

As a composer, I have to say that music does have a huge barrier. I have composed hundreds of works, but I could have composed hundreds more if were not for the paper pushers and faceless bureaucrats who wasted my time with their worthless forms and petty rules. Has been the case for hundreds of years, and will always be the case sadly. There are those who create, and those who take and destroy.
Oh music is absolutely a language, the beauty of it however is that you don't have to know how to read or speak it to understand it, you just have to feel it!

I went to one of his concerts in 1837, superlative! Garters and wigs were flying on stage, ladies were fainting and there was a rush of medical carriages to rescue them! I even managed to get a selfie painted with him! Unforgettable

I'm far from being musically talented in any instrument, but years back I bought a very nice violin for a beginner and went to TH-cam for help so I can teach myself. I had watched and listened to many play the violin and thought it would be way easier to learn, than say the guitar or another stringed instrument. I was quickly humbled and now even more so after listening to Paganini play.

The music is, of course, superb. And the art is perfect, worth staring at as the music plays on. In the art, the violinist's eyes seem both closed and open...and the look in the open eyes speaks of both Heaven and Hell. And so we are back to the music, which speaks of both so eloquently.
(And, no, I haven't indulged in cannabis...but who needs to, when ordinary life can bring us such divine pleasure?)
