I follow too many youtubers and I think your hair type and curl pattern is most similiar to mine, I also you have hard water too! I was thinking my hair was low porosity but today I discovered, my hair is actually high porosity. Actually my hair is not damaged at all, no dye or no heat and I was suprised I’m high porosity but I think I know the reason why my hair looks damaged: hard water. Yours looks so shiny and healthy, that means I should use products for hard water too.
Can't wait to try this!! My hair is super high porosity and sucks up all moisture in minutes. The Shea Moisture high porosity line worked for me but has been discontinued. Yes it looks like a lot of work but it's worth it to have my hair look great. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks so much!!!
I was wondering..does your hair get protein overload quick? My hair is fine as well and it's high porosity but I tend to get protein overload super quick.
Hi Luisa, well I did it I cut my hair To shoulder length and I love it, my hairdresser cut off all the scraggly tails it was like my hair had a smack bottom and started behaving.. I was scared to go shorter but in reality my ends hadn't really recovered from bleaching and needed to go, my hair holds moisture better and I get day 2 hair without too much work... A small amount of bounce curl clump and défine cream help with the dryness.. But I'm still testing out what works as my hair changes all the time.. 💋
Yay!!!!! SO happy you did it!!! and more importantly You Love it!!! I am that close to do the same thing myself! Thanks a lot for sharing. I wish I could see a before and after photo!!
Thank you for this! I’m brand new to the wavy hair area and I’m pretty sure my hair is high porosity. I haven’t figured out it but I’m pretty sure it’s somewhere around 2a? I’ve colored and bleached my hair so may times and majorly managed to keep my hair healthy (except this time). Recently my hair started to become wavy and I still haven’t managed to have to time to make it nice. My hair as always has sucked up all the water possible then 5 mins later I find my hair only damp even tho I’m still in the shower. I don’t know what to do! My hair right now is mildly braking but not to much, but the texture is horrible no matter what I do! It’s this like brittle almost. I’m trying to figure out what to do and I feel that I’ve done it all. I’m going to try to start a routine with this and hope for the best!
Hello Kate. I am not 100% sure that all my videos are CGM approved, but they are CGM inspired, if that makes sense 😄I keep the CGM in mind, but I don't really go by the book, if you know what I mean. I hope that answers your question.
i absolutely hate diffusing cause to me it causes more dryness so I don’t even do that anymore. But I gave up on my hair I just put it up all the time. It’s annoying.
Do you apply oil on your hair the night before every wash day? Or every week? I JUST realized my hair changed high porosity hair but it’s also thick so idk what to do 😭 I feel like I’m starting from square one 💔
Hello beauty! I’m a new subscriber, came across your page because I too have fine wavy/curls. I have been on this curly girl journey for a while but I have not seen much progress. I can’t seem to get pass washing my hair every other day. I noticed in another video that you use flaxseed gel. Do you make it home made or buy it some where? #pleasehelpcurlygirlindistress
Hello Perez Angelica. Don’t worry about having to wash your hair every other day. When you have fine hair, the build up happens way faster and you have to cleanse your hair more often. Try to not use shampoo every time. If you have been on this journey for a while, I am sure you found a nice Co-wash you like. Also try using just water to rincé off the build up products. I have a video about not washing my hair for a week that you may want to check out. Regarding Flaxseed gel, I do make it myself and I really love it and recommend you try it. I have a couple videos on how you can make it yourself. I will try to link them later. Keep up the good work Angelica! And thanks a lot for subscribing 😉
Tu parles français ...si oui tes cheveux sont superbes😘Tes cheveux ont l'air tellement doux....Do you speak french if so i want to say your hair is gorgeous and looks so soft
Your process was not alot of work to me. I love castor oil but it would likely be too heavy for fine hair and loose pattern as yours. Camilla rose has a great coconut water line my hair likes. I also like the mielle Organics pomegranate and honey line is also a go to for me.
Hi, i have very similar hair texture and density to yours and a lot of time curl creams are too heavy for my hair :( is the jessicurl rocking ringlet curl cream very heavy? I dont know if you ever tried cantu curl cream but that was way too heavy for my hair, I was wondering if the jessicurl is that heavy. Your hair looks beautiful by the way :))
Hi Annabelle, I've used the rockin ringlets last year... (I've long, very fine, colour treated and high porosity hair which is easily weighed down) and my experience is that it's not heavy at all...it enhances curls but it can give a sort of dry-ish feeling to the hair.. actually that's not a surprise because there's some salt in it. But it does enhance curls. The formula is light brown and a bit watery, when I saw it the first time it made me do 'woóów... ;) Now I don't use it anymore, I've found products that worked much better for me, but we're all different with different hair-needs.
Annabelle, have you tried using less product? I have wavy to curly hair and it's fine but I have a lot of it. I have classic length hair (over the bum) and I use the LOC/LCO method for styling, but I use a small dollop (coin size) per layer and use the same products type 4 ladies use. For instance, the Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie, frizz-taming smoothie, JBCO leave-in, Eden Bodyworks natural curl defining cream, Every Strand curl cream, Cantu leave-in. Those are my absolute staples. I just rub it between the palms of my hands and scrunch it in, one coin size of product is more than enough; yes for my entire head of hair!
Hello Ananbelle. Just like you, I can't put anything too heavy on my hair and Cantu is definitely not a product I can use. I agree with Jip Janneke on this one. Jessicul's Rocking Ringlets has a very light weight to it. It is more of a curl enhancer than a heavy leave in, but it gives just enough hydration to fine hair. You should definitely try it! And let me know how it goes! 😉

Kristen Thomas Same!!! I have wavy, fine but highly porous hair. 👍🏼
I have the same hair to get that look i just wash it and put in a braid while wet leave until dry then i take it out .
