ASMR is essentially a made up acronym (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response ) used to describe that tingly / buzzing feeling you may have experienced in your head or running down your spine. The sensation can be triggered by personal attention, tutorials, sounds etc. If you are discovering "ASMR" videos for the first time, their primary purpose is just to relax and almost always to send the listener to sleep.
I tried to stay awake watching this but not a chance man, I was gone in mere minutes, adding this one to my playlist 👌👌👌

..every time I watch one of Matt's videos after a long day its like my brain resets. I am reminded that no matter how much my thoughts spin around in my head all day, I can slow them down and everything will be ok. ASMR in general does help with this and thats why i love it- but something in Matt's super trusting, caring, and calming voice really makes me believe it. Thank you :)
Monday didn't suck today and that's because Matt uploaded a video. I know I've been quieter lately but don't mistake that for my absence, I've watched everything you've given us and appreciate it all immensely. I don't say this lightly but of all the ASMRtists out there, you get me the most relaxed and in the shortest amount of time. It should be criminal that you only have 63k subscribers because you deserve far more. One of my favourite things is that you really do ASMR in your own way; you don't let whatever's popular faze you into doing things in any way that isn't your own and it really makes your videos seem a lot more personal than other ASMRtists. One of the many reasons that you're my favourite ASMRtist.

I love how there is literally no white noise in the background of your videos, they all sounds super crisp, it's amazing :D what equipment do you use?
Just a yeti and I spent a little time a long while back trying to remove background noise. Some people love white noise in videos, personally - I love that crisp silence :) Thank you so much and i'm glad you enjoy it :D
@@ArticulateDesignASMR I have to have white noise to sleep but I keep my fan on so I don't need it in videos. Either way is good, but silent videos are the best for trigger sounds.

Matt is the king of haircut ASMR, which is perfect because I need a trim.
Electric razors are so underused in ASMR, maybe because other people prefer scissor sounds? Anyway it is a shame since they give me the best tingles of all, so thank you for giving it a shot! Another great video Matt! 💙
I think that it’s because the sound that the scissors make and the razor could be too loud for some people

Hey, I got a request, if you take those. Could you do a bike shop roleplay? Like, sell me a bike, repair my bike, give me a bike fit, anything along those lines. Love the channel, you've got a fantastic voice to fall asleep to, and I'm always mildly disappointed that there isn't more bicycle-related ASMR. Actually, the only example I can think of is an unintentional one, it's Emma Pooley getting a bike fit for GCN and the dude giving her the fitting has this really nice Dutch accent. If you're looking to do this one and need inspiration, that one's a good place to start, and also a good video in its own right.

I loved this - haircuts are my fav! 😌✨✨✨ Your descriptions are always the best, I love the attention to each small detail and how luxurious it makes the scenario feel. We don't normally take time in RL to enjoy all the small details, so it feels really relaxing to slow down and pay attention. The razor sound was fantastic - not too loud and really well placed. Great video 😊
