Animation Mods Part 2 coverage is finally here, as the feedback for the first video was incredibly positive. The animation mods mods in this video provide improved gameplay and RPG experience, aiming to bring Skyrim Special Edition & Anniversary Edition more in line with popular RPG titles such as Elden Ring, Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt and Assassin's Creed franchise. Brother this is really amazing stuff. Thank you for making it. I modded skyrim a lot back... like 6+ years ago after I got a 1060 graphics card... and I'll soon be starting again from scratch with a 2080ti... and so it's extremely interesting to see how skyrim modding has come along. Back in the day... there were some animation mods I used, but I never imagined mods on this scale were possible. The weakest part of the game is the combat.... but I can now overhaul the graphics... AND the combat?! Wow! incredible. I would be interested in seeing how you mod for general play? But I suppose most people don't really 'play' skyrim generally any more lol... just use it as a fun tool and engine for experiences and so on. All very interesting though. great work.
Great video syn! I just finished watching it from bed lol Thank you very much for including my recent block animations mod. My work being displayed wonderfully amongst some of my favorite animation modders work brings me very much joy :3
Your showcase never cease to amaze. From your smooth voice, efficient script, and wonderful video edit, it's always a joy to watch. Even when I'm not interested in the mods showcased, I stay just to watch the work put in the video itself haha.
@@SynMods Do you happen to know what the armor sets were you used? I'm really digging all the sets (male heavies in particular), but I can't seem to find them.
Seeing all this Magic animations make me wish for ADri to release ABR and Inquisitor to the general modding scene, Inquisitor being the MCO for caster gameplay.
Yeahh Faarok the Norse God is back!! That video was really interesting, the way you showcased it helps a lot to choose animation mods. Awesome work mate!
As always, amazing presentation Syn. I dont even play skyrim anymore, but I still regularly watch your vids as they are probably the best put together videos in the mod community.
Sin, really loved this vid. A part 3 would be fantastic! Not only are they super informative and helpful but it’s a cinematic masterpiece! Ps. I was wondering about a few weapons used, namely the bow at 6:36, the swords at 10:25 and at 11:04 would love to add those to my list! Thanks
The one downside that I’ve found for MCO is that no one seems to make animation packs for Animated Armoury, so all the new weapon types added through the mod end up just getting their animations overwritten… it’s really too bad.
@@SynMods Skysa movesets can all be easily converted to mco. Distar has a converter available on the mco mod page! Its as simple as dragging the skysa animations onto the conversion tool! Some conditions might need to be fixed but changing the animations to mco is really that easy.
Top tier quality as always great job Syn! Just when you think the modding community can't get any better I am proven wrong every time! Thanks for taking the time to make this awesome showcase! 👍🍻
Another great video Syn, thanks. I literally just found a mod two days ago, and now need to find as many animation mods as possible for it. So this video was perfectly timed. That mod is Stances - Dynamic Animation Sets. It allows you to switch animation sets while playing on the fly, similar to a Nioh or Ghost of Tsushima. Honestly it is such an interesting mod, it could deserve it's own video if you like showcasing animation mods. I am still learning to use the mod myself and getting it to play right. But it seems very neat.
Out of all of these I’d say Goetia is the best. All the animations are brilliant and pair well with 1st Person Magic Animations to make the anims line up. VeroLevi is also producing a shouts animation set for Goetia so it’s going to be even better.
These are unbelievably good. It’d be cool if someone made a mod that went through a bunch of these different animation packs moving towards bc the more brutal and disciplined ones as you leveled up your combat skills. That way you don’t have a fresh out of the intro iron longsword user who fights like they’ve been mastering it for decades
What a great selection of mods! I can see myself using almost all of these, and I feel like I am usually quite picky. It's impressive to see how far Skyrim animation mods have come. Great video!
As always, your videos are absolutely amazing. Would love to see more. Though, would it be possible to list the animation mods used during your showcase, as well as the armor and weapon mods you've used throughout the video? I know they may not necessarily be related to the video itself, but if there's a video in which you've already covered them, or can point us in there direction, it'd be much appreciated.
Yo man, have just stumbled onto your channel! With continued shortages of PS5s, I was thinking of investing in a gaming PC, and then, you know, obviously get and start modding Skyrim! The combat and aesthetics are the two big issues to tackle, and it'd be amazing to see what your mod choices to really bring the game up to its full potential! Like, if you were going to mod and then release skyrim as a new game for players old and new to fall in love with, what would that look like?
If you got the money for it, definitely go the PC route, you'll thank yourself for it in the future man. Especially with the upgradeability and the endless amounts of mods
Awesome video man. Really helped me with my modding. I already finished up my weapons/armor setup, but I think that one would be cool for you to do as well.
Such quality as always. Been awhile since I modded. Too much work to get back into it, especially with all these new mods. Regardless, it's always amusing to watch.
I love your videos they amaze me every time. I plan on switching to pc next month and it gets me excited to move away from console Skyrim and get to the ultimate way to mod it
I can't say for everyone but I know there is a few including me that would enjoy longer vids, if you're up for it. I wouldn't mind couple blooper segments at the end of it either. I would also like to know, do you plan on streaming and playing skyrim showing us your all time loadout and why you enjoy them. May it be a personal choice, or story on them.
I've always skipped any combat mods because dodging enemies suck, but holy shit this looks so damn cool. Modern Combat animations seems amazing especially the dual wield animations. I usually don't dual wield weapons because I'm not a huge fan of having to use two buttons for left hand then right hand attack and would have preferred just hitting attack and it swing left then right and power attack does a combo heavy, while the block button being a block of some kind rather then just a left hand swing, it looks like it does that?
Love your dedication and editing. I find your content easy to follow and useful. Thank you If there is one area I'd like to see covered it is realistic combat and animation. I understand that this is a fantasy setting, however I'm getting bored of seeing every animation look like a cross between a 1980s version of Chinese Kung Fu films and Final Fanatasy. Hopefully you are able to cover these mods for those of us that prefer to keep in the immersive first person view and in keeping with the game lore, rather than cross over game kitbashs that ruin the game for me.
Awesome vid, already got some of these mods! gotta respect the love the modders give. Also is there a link for the very first armor in the vid? looks dope af
Great video showcase as always. But I'm never gonna use MCO. Distar and all those folks are making amazing mods, but I still prefer vanilla combat. "Modern" just seems like a buzz word. RPGs have had combo systems for years.

Well, I figured I'd let the chaos settle for awhile when Anniversary Edition came out and broke all of Skyrim's mods. Unfortunately, I picked a terrible time to try and mod Skyrim again. Now in late September 2022, updates have once again broken many of these mods and dependencies, particularly mods that require SKSE and Dynamic Animation Replacer
Amazing mod showcase, I'm really enjoying going back to modded Skyrim after long breaks. Do you have a modlist that you usually use casually while playing skyrim, or planning a video on it?
Hey Syn, great job, as usual. I wanted to ask though, are these character presets available somewhere? For example the male one used throughout the video or the elf one in smooth random magic idle section.
I would also love to see a graphic overhaul 2022 video for console users, see from your perspective point of view of mods you would recommend for them ^^
God those combat animation at the end look minty af. Unfortunately, I’m more of a first person player so all those animations will go to waste. One of the main reasons I haven’t really played with SkySA and the like. Anyway, awesome video once again. You’re probably the only one who has such high quality Skyrim modding videos.
I really enjoyed this video, will you ever make a video for first person animation? And for those wondering what mask the assassin is using it is th DX Celes Rogue armor mod don't know about the hood though.
Thank you for the video it has helped me make my Skyrim completely fresh. I pretty much have this list for my game. My only issue is trying to figure out why I don't have a stealth Animation with spells. I have Vanargand (his whole thing), Leviathan for the heavy, and Goetia. I even got the CATA version so I could make sure they work properly. I don't know if it is an engine issue or if I have an animation conflicting lol. I even uninstalled Smooth and YY just cause i thought it was conflciting.
Another great video. Syn I just wanna ask when can you add to your overhaul on patreon Lod installation tutorial including seasons? Pleassseee I'm still waiting for it :D
