good job leaving that filthy knife ear out of the follower overhaul. also i'm curious if you'll cover the Growl mod in your next video, it does what moonlit tales does, but it's a bit more lightweight, it doesn't come with textures so you can pick witch werewolf texture you desire, some perks that benefit magic users while in beast form, you can choose a werebear if you roleplay as a skaal.
I really wish the story line had more choice, depth and consequences. Many werewolves are supposed to be uncontrolled monsters so presumably the Silver Hand do a lot of good but they are shown as basically bad guys with captured and tortured werewolves. Given the Companions are basically mercenaries they aren't exactly squeaky clean and there was a great opportunity for better writers to have established an interesting conflict.
There are modders who are trying to make that happen, however because voice actors are apparently scarce, it's not always possible. But it also takes a lot of technical skill to do everything there is in a mod situation, some people who have been modding for years and know all these other tools and know how to do literally everything in the creation kit, probably won't have any issue, but most of these people have left Skyrim modding forever unfortunately.

@@HeavyBurns dude, I played the game a long time ago, and you literally made me conflict the whole video and I was like "Wait so her name was Alea this WHOLE time? How did i never realise it??"
I came down to the comments for this. There really shouldn't be much difference between them visually since they seem to be identical rather than fraternal. Their talents just lie elsewhere, as well as their intellect. I went WTF when they made Farkas seem "youthful".
I think it would be interesting for the Silver Hand if they were founded by a former Companion, specifically one from before Kodlak Whitemane, and he left as one of Kodlak's predecessors was forcing members to become werewolves. The founder didn't like this and ended up killing this man and leaving. He came to ruminated on what he had witnessed and came to the conclusion that werewolves were a potentially dire threat as they could take on the form of men, and didn't possess the tells like a vampire did. He formed the Silver Hand as a way to hunt down werewolves and keep watch initially, but since they used primarily silver weapons, they also started to hunt undead, potentially even forming a sort of alliance with the Dawn Guard at one point. I looked it up and the companions first formed during the second era, and the dawnguard were formed during mid-second era, it is also unknown when the circle of the companions first started being werewolves, so in theory this could work.
Wasn't this already the case? I remember vaguely dialogue from one of the companions explaining that Companions who refused 'the gift' left the Companions and set up the Silver Hand because it is not the way of the Companions to be worshipping a Daedric Prince.
I have seen plenty of mods for the Companions, but your list is balanced and lore friendly! I would love to see what you could do for the the College of Winterhold. If I am being honest though, I would love to see your revamps of every organization in Skyrim. Keep up the good work!

@@HeavyBurns I honestly can't wait for you to make every faction better. To their weapons, armour, gear, rewards, choices, and even Headquarters. So excited
I love the idea of having the silver hand as a joinable faction. That is fuckin genius. It's like joining the dawngaurd instead of the vampires except with less of a line of good and evil. My favorite guild quest was always thieves guild. I was disappointed in the dark brotherhood quest even the first time I played it. I liked oblivion's DB quest so much more, so I guess I'd like to see that done better, if anyone has made a mod as bad ass as the silver hand faction.
I'm happy to see you include "Conflict Under the Crescent". The mod author has worked hard on it, and the last update really cleaned it up and expanded the story. It is a must have in my load order.
There is a mod on the Nexus called Underworld that converts the Silver Hands into a Vampire faction, complete with undead thralls and vampire spellcasting.
Yes, i use this mod for the side Effect: all the companions's follower (only of the circle) can turn in the werewolf form in battle. IT'S nice and lorefriendly see Aela or Farkas turn in the Beast form.
Amazing video but it's also kinda surreal as I just got done with a playthrough of conflict under the crescent, and thought about making a MO2 profile for a total overhaul Modlist. For a next video I'd definitely love to see you tackle the College of Winterhold. Stuff like Obscure's College, Quest Expansion, and Immersive College NPCs make the experience really fun. I'd highly recommend it.
I'd love to see a Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild story overhaul. I recently(ish) got TES IV: Oblivion and while yeah, the graphics side doesn't hold a candle, the story? Impeccable. Devastating in some spots. And I loved it. Comparatively, the Skyrim TG and DB questlines get...mired in weird areas that don't really fit the guilds' reputation, legacy or history very well.
Haven't been here in a minute. But the story and how these mods are done is incredibly excellent. As a werewolf main this is a whole different experience and perspective. And the lore added makes the werewolves even more influential and important.

Obviously the mods you're featuring are great, but the edits you do around stuff like interiors being changed and the intro and stuff - it just always blows me away. Bravo dude, seriously amazing job on these!
I like the idea of the companions, given that they're actually tied into Skyrim's culture and history rather than just being a generic bunch of mercenaries like the fighters guild was in Oblivion. The problem is just how barebones it is, with so few quests in it and no choice options.
I love especially the repeated quests from the librarian orc in which he tells you to fetch a certain book because it's always found in a boss chest with handsome loot
oo i just looked it up yeah would of been really nice to show but i didnt know about it, join the discord so next time i ping asking for mod suggestions you can throw any in that you know of :))
Honestly, I wish they'd have an expansion questline for the Companions, like have a werewolf vs. werewolf type thing (maybe have it set after completing the main Companions quesline, like what the Summerset Isle mod was for the College of Winterhold). With one faction of werewolves using Hircine's gift for good, hunting down bandits, rouge mages, and others who prey upon the innocent. While the other faction abuses their gift (think Volkihar Vampires, but with Werewolves), preying upon anyone unlucky enough to get caught in their crosshairs. Be interesting to see a Companions vs. Opposing Werewolf faction type thing. Also, be interesting if there were little tidbits of Imperial Legions and Stormcloaks having Lycanthropes within their ranks (either in secret or not), perhaps even having seperate legions for Lycanthropes.
There's a LE mod that never got ported that adjusted their quest to make your membership feel more organic. MCM menu that dictates how many in game days/odd jobs you'd do before the next step of the questlone itself, so you're not becoming their leader within 2 in-game days. Nice to see we can get it back to some extent!
I’m playing a companions based character atm but I’m kinda splitting it up into segments. Like I’m doing some companions quests then going back to the main quest for a bit. To me it then makes a bit more sense when you become their leader, cos not only have you been a part of the companions for a little longer but whilst being a member of the companions you’ve also defeated Alduin and saved the world. Cos you know saving the world makes you slightly more qualified to lead the oldest and most respected warriors on the continent lol
The most underwhelming guild? The Bard's College, OFC! This video was brilliant; hope all the mods that interested me can be installed mid-game, since I recently started one.
I've literally upgraded my pc yesterday and been rewatching your videos to try and see how much it will take to burn it, so this video couldn't have had better timing! your mum
Grade A video as always 👌 I always felt that bethesda dropped the ball with not making the silver hand a join able faction. Something skyrims factions (save for dawnguard and civil war) is lacking is choices. Wish every faction had two sides to choose from the dark brotherhood could have either the morag tong or the pinitus oculatus and maybe have some evil warlock or necromancer faction for the CoW. Maybe flesh out the summerset shadows a bit more with the thieves guild. And ffs the forsworn conspiracy quest was so awesome but a complete let down after it was over. Some quests that tied in with the Civil War to take back the reach would've been awesome
Let's gooo!!! Last night I saw all your mods videos making a compilation of mods that my game needed, and today you bring out one of the companions, you are great, new subscriber! I don't join, because in Argentina we are all poor but someday, greetings!!! thanks for collaborating so much with the skyrim community!!
So I took a look at the Silver Hand Quest mod you showed in the end and I think you should’ve noted that the mod breaks the companions quest line. Other than that, great video :)
1. The Companions shouldn’t be werewolves. 2. The Companions should all be Nords. 3. The Companions should be the elite guards of the Jarl of Whiterun. 4. The Companions should consist of 100 people.
If I knew how to mod, I would have overhauled the Companions myself. I truly think that the Silver Hand _were_ members of the Companions at one point in their history that broke away from the group because of the introduction of the Werewolf blood. I would have made an entire quest line where you "betray" the Companions at any point in the quest that is dramatically appropriate, but still try to save those that will turn from Hircine's favor. Some of them may need some serious convincing, but not everyone will be saved. After many adventures, you can have several endings, with the best one integrating both sides as one faction again. And Jorrvaskr would be bigger. You know, the size of a ship that would have _actually_ held 500+ people. You could do a Dawnguard-like epic side quest just for this group.
You have no idea how much I was waiting for this video! Your videos are always a delight to watch and now you gave me a lot of hype for the Werewolves video, you did me dirty there Burns haha
All of these mods look great. Gonna make sure to check them all out. One Faction mod list I’d like to see is a Bards College or College of Winterhold list. IIRC, I heard joining the Bards College base game is kinda worthless, but I could be wrong.
Great video! It was a bit hard to hear you over the music at times. If you run your audio through a dynamic processer and side chain your main audio to duck the parts of the band your voice covers it's clean it up automatically in the future ;)
These mods look awesome! Thank you for this video. Honestly, I thought this was going to be about traveling companions, which need a massive overhaul. But this is good, too.
I'd really like a Winterhold overhaul, as a main mage/spellsword build, I feel the questline is not long enough or even thorough enough to become archmage
I'd love to see a mod that covers Jorrvaskr's roof/walls in shields and maybe armor bits from previous generations. Inside trophies will be swapped as new ones are claimed but no matter how may years go by the armor and shields of old shall still protect their ancient hall
The additional companions do look neat. I just find it odd the way the one Argonian wears Dwemer armor. If anything, the orc and Argonian should switch armors and it would look better and make more sense. Orcs have their camps often near Dwemer ruins, and I can see an orc more likely having a full set of Dwemer armor after fighing there than an Argonian. And I can see an Argonian wearing Daedric armor as it could very well be an heirloom from the spoils of war from when the Argonians in Blackmarsh invaded the Daedric realm during the Oblivion crisis. As for ideas on reworking a group of guild, it would be interesting if the Bard college were to be made interesting instead of dreadfully drab and boring. Perhaps even a better orphanage with more than one available, and an ability to choose more than just two kids at most.
HB as I've said before your videos are getting better and better! Like DAMN! I want a series made by you about Skyrim! It also would be fantastic if you could work with Wildlander team. Your ideas are great. Thanks for all the effort
I love the idea of playing as a Silver Hand, that said, I truly wish someone would mod something like Serana's Dialogue Add-On to really flesh out the companions too. Basically I'd like changes like making all the companions, namely Aela, choosing to forsake being a werewolf instead of being the oddball who stays one (especially if it takes a few additional quests to get her to give it up, like the Serana Dialogue Add-on is about to give players more options with Serana after Dawnguard if you watched the latest trailer of the next version). I recognize that the game developers wanted a way for players to change their mind... but imho, that's an excuse for a new playthrough. Let my choices have real consequences and have the whole faction go the way my player steers them. I honestly feel like I failed ever time I used to play a "good" playthrough and she didn't give up her lycanthropy. Also in contrast to this on my darker playthroughs I feel players should have the option of converting the modded in new companions into werewolves too (heck, maybe have one of them at random rejecting the 'gift' and us having to kill them). So we can make use of the underforge a few more times... or inversely on anti-lycanthropy playthroughs as either a good companion or Silver-Hand destroying/remodeling the Underforge. Basically... I want more consequences and impact on the companions questline.
I always felt that despite the notion the Companions were some sort of warrior brotherhood that they were really nothing more that mercenaries. So I no longer join the Companions. But I did think that the Silverhand's should have been moe that bandits.
I would love an Alliance United Against Evil type quest set post-Dawnguard. There are multiple factions in the game dedicated to hunting specific types of evil, but each one is focused on a single enemy type which makes them vulnerable. The Dawnguard explains this when they mention the Vigil of Stendarr having been destroyed by Vampires. They were so hyper focused on hunting Daedra that they weren't prepared to fight off the attacking Vampires. It would be cool if the rebuilt Dawnguard reached out to these other factions, such as the Vigil and Silver Hand, and started forming a much larger Alliance. With each faction successfully recruited, Fort Dawnguard's population grows and empty rooms become occupied and decorated by each recruited faction. The castle is a neat location, but sits empty most of the time. A mod like this which fills it up would be welcomed. Fort Dawnguard's entrance is a giant, empty, circular room. Imagine a nice big round table in the center with Dawnguard, Vigil of Stendarr and Silver Hand warriors all united around it. Then they can take it a step further and potentially recruit the Companions and a post-Volkihar clan of Vampires who pledge their loyalty to Serana. There would definitely be some tension at that table, but the Companions are known to be noble warriors who are respected throughout Skyrim. Their inner circle may be Werewolves, but they use their gifts to hunt animals and take down threats to the people of Skyrim. This would include feral Werewolves who have lost their minds and randomly attack anyone. Serana is a Vampire, but she clearly had no desire to join her father in ruling the world. The Dawnguard might hate her guts, but they looked past their hatred and worked with her once. She even hangs out at the Fort when not with the Dragonborn, so they might tolerate Vampires who have sworn to hunt down rogue Vampire Lords preying on the people of Skyrim.
Please do a “What the Imperials/Stormcloaks Should Have Been” There’s soooo much potential there with the plethora of mods overhauling Skyrims civil war & the Thalmor.

Great video! It was a bit hard to hear you over the music at times. If you run your audio through a dynamic processer and side chain your main audio to duck the parts of the band your voice covers it's clean it up automatically in the future ;)
dude the quality of these videos is insane, have you ever thought of making a machinima?
When I finally start playing a Vigilant of Stendarr playthrough the silverhand overhaul will be perfect
Wow! such high quality video production! This is outstanding! i can't wait to see what the dark brotherhood overhaul is!
Great vid as always - I think you meant to call her Aela though (not Alea)😉
i love the ambiance of this video it has such a good atmosphere !!! good work man, youre videos are only getting better
hermaeus mora has another video to add to his archive.
Inside trophies will be swapped as new ones are claimed but no matter how may years go by the armor and shields of old shall still protect their ancient hall
your videos are so good man. The editing is impressively good. Bethesda needs to hire you for their trailer team
In a few videos it's just going to be a animated movie. Burns you improve with every Video and it is a joy every time i see a new video of you
There is also "Immersive Idiots" by Someguy2000, which for all its' camp, does add to the Companions,
I wish I could like a video +1000. This was so sweet! Definitely going to be giving some of these a try!
Once again, your videos are amazing! Beatiful storytelling and visuals, and another set of mods to make my skyrim mod list grow fatter. Thank you.
You put so much into your vids I respect it🙏🏾
Thanks!
Love the video as always! I have to say, your editing and intro's are always something to behold and super inspirational!
Love the silver hand alternet quest but can't wait for werewolf video love the channel
Perfect time in my country before sleep : ). Thank you!
Thx very much for letting us discover Silverhand's mods!
HB as I've said before your videos are getting better and better! Like DAMN! I want a series made by you about Skyrim! It also would be fantastic if you could work with Wildlander team. Your ideas are great. Thanks for all the effort
"Heeeeuiiurghhh!"
That line really spoke to me :')
Finally a handsome redguard. Their should be a story about the redguards and they all should be beautiful people.
Keep them coming heavy! You’ve been doing amazing over these few years, and it only ever gets better 🎉
I always felt that despite the notion the Companions were some sort of warrior brotherhood that they were really nothing more that mercenaries. So I no longer join the Companions. But I did think that the Silverhand's should have been moe that bandits.
Editing skill are on point my dude.
Please do a “What the Imperials/Stormcloaks Should Have Been”
There’s soooo much potential there with the plethora of mods overhauling Skyrims civil war & the Thalmor.
Awesome man i need some good news with this latest update my load order is messed up cure for fixing it new cool mods to play and enjoy. Thanks for showing us these videos and for all the content you make keep being awesowe fellow dovahkin. Also the silver hand part is my favorite. the editing is absolutely insane
The cinematic stories 😍 if there was a Skyrim film this man would be the one making it
I love how much your channel has grown since i found it. You definitely deserve more, great vid :)
The Silverhand/werewolves combat scene is AWESOME!!!
Bro creating a movie now... Wow... The intro was just amazing.
I can wait to see more faction showcases :D
I know it was touched on before but I’d love to see an overhaul of the Volkhier Clan/Vampires especially after you kill Lord Harkon
i am getting excited... cuz i would love to see thieves guild and dark brotherhood tackled in some future
I just finished the companion quest line and you post this now 😭😭
Time to boot it back up 😅
Love to see it! Bro your cinematics are 👌🏽
12:00 The moment you said “What if the Silver Hand weren’t as bad as they had been made out to be?”, I knew you had robbed me of my “Set for Underworld” dark gothic fantasy.
This looks incredible, I really love the hunters and werewolf side of Skyrim and it would be lore friendly to make silver hand the hero’s.
Man that Rorikstead scene for the Silver Hand, makes me wonder what Throthgar is up to these days...
7:28 first it was Netflix then Amazon and now Heavy Burns , The Companions belongs to the Nords !
100% agree!
8:50 That lower case "i" is maddening lol
Been waiting for this all month.
