I love bringing this up: simply by virtue of her counter actually providing Beidou with i-frames on perfect timing, she can parry Raiden Shogun's instant kill. It's ridiculously hard to pull off since the timing of using it is slightly delayed in that case, but that alone is something no other character has ever achieved. In fact, Yun Jin and Candace lack any i-frames on their perfect counters, and Scaramouche had to utilize a different method of instant kill by applying the "defeat" state to your current character without a hit check, just so she couldn't counter that one, too.
That aside, Beidou is everything I love about characters in an action game: a fast kit that rewards understanding, reflexes, and skill without limiting her to reactionary abilities alone. And she's by far the most rewarding character to play, as the tiny hit lag on a perfect counter underlines the sheer violent power behind it perfectly. The counter also has deceptively wide range, can be triggered off of standing on burning grass, has a surprisingly strong shield, AND adds complementary Electro damage to her normals instead of an infusion.
She has been my absolute main since the day I got her, she was my first triple crown, my first 5* weapon user, and my go-to character for trying solo runs against every boss in the game. The only way to top her would be if miHoYo actually decided to release a 5* variant of Beidou with an even heavier counter at her disposal.
Mona can dodge Mosou no Hitotachi woth her skill as well.

Beidou's counter is just the most satisfying thing in the game. Especially with Fontaine's local legends, countering one of those heavy hits just feels so good
Even against single enemies, the fact that Beidou can put up a shield for a blessed couple seconds, long enough for another character to use their burst, makes her a pretty good options still.
Not really... We have plenty of better shield options both 4* and 5*. Putting Beidou in a single target fight for her shield is major copium.

I'm proud to say I'm a Beidou main, and I think she singlehandedly skyrocketed my thing for tomboys; I just love her so much and she made me a better player simply because of learning to dodge/parry with her; with the other "parry" characters, there's more leeway with your timing, but I'm glad I learned with Beidou, because her stricter timing made me more skilled at dodging and parrying than if I had learned with the likes of Yunjin or Candace; I've learned that even when I'm not using her in a team, I'm still playing like I am; whenever I'm using teams like Rational, I've realized I'm still dodging enemy attacks because of all the parrying I've practiced with her
I'm still holding out hope that one day we'll get the infamous lvl 100 ascension, and along with it, I hope she gets some kinda talent or something that alleviates her energy issues, because I'd really like to see her stand out more as an individual character without the need for a battery; cuz good lord is she amazing and incredibly useful as a support with her countering, shielding, damage reduction, stagger resistance, AND significant DPS; I'd honestly say she's more befitting the "Five Fantastic Four Stars" than Xiangling is, cuz as good as Xiangling is, she's really just a 1-trick pony who's carried solely by the power of Pyronado and offers little to nothing else
Beidou was my first 4* and hitting her counter is still as satisfying as it was when I first figured out how to do it.
I have to say Beidou + Yoimiya is such an underrated combo, they synergize really well! 🔥⚡

I have to disagree, I think that their ideal content is opposite to eachother. Yoimiya is pretty much only usable in single target, while Beidou is the AOE Queen, suffering heavily in single target. Overload Yoimiya is much better suited to Fischl or Raiden

go for it, though swap to Yoimiya if you can, she will definitely pair better with Beidou in that kinda team
my main gripe about beidou is how you need quite a bit of vertical investment into her. If you have a subpar build on her, she also feels really subpar. The balancing of ER, atk%, & crt is an artifact hellhole (especially for a f2p). She's also kinda not forgiving for casual players in some instances, if your ER is low - you need the perfect parries so you can burst off cooldown, and thats really hard to do unless you take time learning beidou's rotations and familiarize all the enemy attack patterns (in which casual players tend to not do). For comparison, kuki hyperbloom teams you can just press buttons and things just die, some people can even 36* abyss with blindfolds on using kuki hyperbloom teams.
Though i pretty much agree that if built properly and played skillfully, she can be one of the strongest 4 stars in the game.

she's great if you got the 5* claymore by accident (the one with ER i dont remember the name)
I use it with the 4 piece of the ER set and atk-electro bonus-crit setup and she reaches 10k per tick with 175% energy recharge it's pretty good especially when i pair her with neuvillette

To go through this version of the abyss i used Heizou, Kuki, Beidou and Keqing, for the laughs and broke the abyss, Beidou continues to be really strong and a good option
She’s a 5 star in my heart
Beidou is by far my favorite unit in the game, not only because her lore is badass (fighting haishan for over 4 days without a vision is on another league) but also because she is one of the funniest characters in the game, her level scaling may be pretty average but her counter is one of the best abilities in the game. When I was a low AR during the early days of the game she was one of my first 4 stars, she saved me so many times from death by using her counter as a shield, specially since I defeated Childe on the Story Quest before the nerf, using her ability during mark ability where he used to one-Hit K.O. in most of the cases, she used to withstand the attack with the counter. Not only that but her ult and the electro application made wonders with hydro and now that we have dendro, the synergy she offers me with Nahida, Collei or Dendro traveler is incredible, simply my favourite character

11:04 I actually use a team with Nuevillette, Kazuha, Fischl, and Beidou, and it is incredibly strong. Beidou pairs quite nicely with Nuevi not just because of the "rail gun" combo but also because beidou's ult provides interruption resistance, which is fantastic for users like me who don't have C1 for Nuevi.
I built her specifically for Neuvilette :) and she's turned out to have really good synergy w/ him

The fact that the incredibly powerful and influential Ninguang and Beidou are not 5-stars while f’ing Qiqi is… is such a spit in the face. Heck, two 5 star characters, Keqing and Ganyu, are both even Ninguang’s subordinates….
when will yall learn that lore strength/relevance has no effect on in-game gacha rarity lol. also the misinformation of ninguang stans acting like the qixing are ninguang's subordinates when they're all equal is crazy.

Beidou is one of my favourite characters, she's great with Alhaitham and Nahida, I often play the Heizou tazer in the abyss just for the pleasure to put Beidou in a team. And Jean+Furina work well with her too.
She's great in Yoimiya overload especially with C1. When fighting Hydro Tulpa, all my other normally stronger teams struggled a bit (national, freeze, hyperbloom, aggravate). But the overload team destroyed it. I know it's super situational for her in overload to be my best option here, and it only beat hyperbloom because Tulpa moves so much and stamina is a thing, but it still puts a smile on my face.

There was no reason for Beidou to not work with Raiden Shogun, she wouldn't even be too broken since she would only be keeping up with the power 5 but when paired with the electro archon herself. Even now they could double down and allow her ultimate to work with Raiden Shogun's basic attacks, labeling it as a "late bug fix" but for some weird reason they just don't allow her to have that.
Isnt it "Raiden does not work with Beidou"? Because Raiden dmg comes from her burst, therefore if hoyo had to correct the synergy, then Raiden had to lvl her NA talents because beidou's burst triggers from NA
@@naufalnoorizan1763 Problem is, she was able to trigger Yelan and Xingqiu's off field damage who functions similarly to Beidou where they need normal attacks to trigger them.
Edit: She's able to trigger them in her burst duration yet for Beidou, she can't.
@@Y_-xs9ue im not defending hoyo on this but i think its because yelan and xingqius bursts can be triggered just by pressing the NA command, while beidou requires your character to deal NA damage to an enemy. notice how yelan and xingqius bursts can be triggered even if youre not fighting an enemy as long as you press the NA button. hoyos wording on abilities can get unnecessarily confusing, i do think its dumb that even with so much outcry over beidou not working with raiden hoyo refuses to change things

Why you doesnt talk about Furina's impact on Beidou?
I never use Beidou as solo electro before but with Furina massive buff i can play solo electro Beidou just fine in Furina tazer(i know Raiden is better). You can use ER sand and ATK goblet and has 2 favo(Jean+Yelan/Beidou) in the team and let Jean as driver so she and beidou can do 2E in rotation to maintain the energy.
Beidou help for lack of AoE in double hydro team.

Raiden actually worked with skyward spine and beidou when she comes out but then they nerfed her I still remember that 100 primogem they say it was a bug but it was probably first direct nerf to a character
I think Chevreuse will open new potential teams for her. Overload Beidou/Chevreuse might be the next meta team.

I can honestly imagine. Klee could become better in this team. Beidou's burst trigger with NA and follow you around. So pyro catalyst could be a good driver in this team.

@@andrewmattar4178 I could genuinely see Yanfei - Beidou - Chevreuse - Kujou Sara becoming a meta 4-star team. Could also see Lisa - Chevreuse - Xiangling - Kujou Sara being relevant. I think Chevy's best teams will be with Yae Miko and Xiangling though, being driven by either Lyney or C2/C3 Raiden.

Beidou's biggest problem is really just her Energy generation and her inability to synergize with Shogun's burst. Just like Barbara's biggest problem is that she can't generate her own energy and that not only does her burst not apply hydro, but that her ring is so damn small.
Really wish Mihoyo would come back and buff these units. Really solid units heavily weakened by unsatisfying counter-intuitive interaction and mechanics.

Beidou is one of the reasons which is why I don’t trust pick rates as data for the meta cause she always sometimes is under Dehya and Itto and we all know she’s better than both.
beidou is one of those characters that is hard to slot in a team but when you are able to she can be nutty. I personally love her in neuvillette teams with nahida + raiden

She was my first main and I thought she was really cool plus that counter helped my early times in genshin, made everything much more fun. Good times with her.
Watch Beidou become meta together with Yoimiya after Chevreuse is released. Add another electro sub-dps like Fischl for Electro Resonance to improve Beidou's energy situation and you get AoE damage, interruption resistance, healing, electro & pyro damage buff, electro & pyro res shred all on top of Yoimiya's excellent single target damage.

Beidou was my main ! the first character i fully built, 90 ascension, all relics, yadayada my strongest character before i had any luck with 5 stars. To this day i still use her in a... hyperbloom-taseresque team with kokomi in abyss with very good results. Also love her design and her personality. she truly is the reason i started playing genshin

Just something about Beido that I ALWAYS find myself returning to her. Her attitude, her playstyle, her whole persona just always have me returning playing her, she's the only 4* I've triple crowned and still finding better artifacts for. And since the beginning of the game... for me 1.3, I've always enjoyed electro. Most likley because I'm an electrician and I love the color purple.
I remember making my Neuvillette team with Beidou, Bennett and Venti and called it The Broken Washing Machine.

She's actually god tier with neuvilette in multi-target scenarios. His charge attack is basically infinite procs on her burst. She also helps with interruption resistance, something he deseperately eneds. Love her, built her fully
Beidou was the first character that... Clicked for me. Before then, Noelle was my go-to because I like claymores and her shield+healing was extremely comfy for me during the first weeks of playing Genshin (back in 1.0 btw). However, after I got my first Beidou and tried her out, the game became much more enjoyable.
Parrying mechanics in games are some of my favourite things to master. So, naturally, seeing Beidow had one, I slowly but surely began to learn when to activate it for maximum profit. Plus, she's a claymore like Noelle, had a pseudo shield of sorts (though not the same as Noelle's and while I lost healing at first, I replaced Noelle with Jean in my party, who was my only healer and anemo character until I got Xiao.
Now in 4.0, I still find myself playing Beidou because no other character scratches that same itch like she does. There's nothing more satisfying than parrying an attack perfectly. Plus, one of my favourite duos with her wit to pair her up with Kokomi. Beidou's Burst + Kokomi's Burst is just a rain of taser. And honestly, even though you mentioned how she's often paired up with another electro character, I never felt the need to have another electro character in my party because I have enough with Beidou. Sure, Fischl might be "better" from a meta standpoint but, like the rest of the so-called "power of five", she's very boring to play and I don't wanna log in to Genshin use characters I don't like playing as.
Beidou was the first character I triple crowned and I'm still looking for ways to improve her artifacts. She will always be my favourite character to play as no matter what ♥

But overall although she is not the most meta 4 star she is never weak and I always have good time using her, I just wish she is better at single target cuz other than that she is amazing. Doing decent off field dmg, being able to snapshot, giving shield and damage reduction, counter ability and the ability to do on field electro application to trigger HB make her one of the more flexible character in the game. Her only downside is that her energy cost is so high (which would make Raiden her perfect partner) and burst duration isn't as long as Xinqiu but it is not too short either being right in the middle so im not complaining
edit: Beidou+Xinqiu is an underrated pair for their 70%+ damage reduction, this massive damage reduction allow the flimsy Beidou shield to be as good as shield from Zhongli without full HP build, from my calc it should be able to tank 15k+ dmg and from my test it should work cuz I tried getting hit that deal 7k to my chara twice and it didn't break and only break in 3rd attack (I crown my beidou and Xinqiu and both at C6 so they have 70-80% dmg reduction, with C6 Jean they have more than 100% dmg reduction making them immune to damage lmao, sadly no C6 jean yet)
ofc nowaday with healing meta and high dmg enemy in abyss 12 this is rarely the best pair but often time you can ignore healing and just use this pair to reduce damage taken to the point where you can clear abyss without anyone dying pretty comfortably with flexibility on the two chara option, you can bring Nahida and Fischl or Sucrose and Yelan or heck even Nahida and Keqing work well too, or if you want to be undying Beidou National isn't bad at all with ton of dmg reduction and Bennett healing, the only problem is you need fav sword for Beidou or needing battery like Fischl or Yae
Niche team I like to play her with is Miku C6/Yelan+Wanderer or Heizou, and I would have pair her with Neuv... IF ONLY I HAD HIM
Beidou has been my main since the beginning of genshin. I’ve changed up her build to suit my needs over time, or just whatever I felt most interested in. Electro carry, Physical, Dendro Support. She is versatile and so much fun to play. Her constellations only made her more enjoyable and more helpful, her shield carried me through abyss when I had yet to acquire Zhongli. In teaching me how to counter, she also taught me how to dodge before my skill got back up, so I’d consider her the best early game teacher

Having second electro with Beidou is overrated imo. Use sac gs on her, and she's more that self-sustainable if you are capable of hitting at least one good parry out of two, with good damage still coming from 4-p emblem and 44 base atk weapon.
This is especially useful if you need Fishl for the second Abyss team and you don't really have anybody else to replace her, or you really need other characters (Neuv for example, he can not only use her damage but also shield from C2 and interruption res). Bennett also removes all atk problems from using non-perfect weapon.
I'm AR55 and my Beidou is STILL carrying me despite my account now playing host to the entire Power Five, Shinobu, Kazuha and Ayato. She's just...so damn good.
Just gave her a brush up and play her again. Not cause she's meta, but I like her, missed her and she still is viable in certain teams. My neuvi is so strong, I can use her instead of Fischl and not worry about lost damage (don't really like Fischl so it's perfect).

I am a Beidou main and have been since I got her in December 2020. Her playstyle is what really kept me with her, regardless of what the meta is. Just by virtue of being the most fun to play, she's been my ride or die. Also, my full-counter without crit is currently 47k...

Beidou is the Kuroko of Genshin's power five. Beidou is the 6th player who's lowkey a powerhouse of the earlier generation of miracle 4 stars.
She is still my #1 waifu on the game. She is my 3rd best Electro after Shogun and Shinobu. She is mostly used as a defensive counter, shield and secondary DPS. Rarely ever used her with other electro.
Beidou carried my account to what it is now. I love her so much. She brings back so many memories whenever I see her.
Beidou is still cracked, just more niche now with more alternative teams that dont really need her but her teams haven't fallen off. Shes like Venti, whenb she works she works, when she doesn't she doesn't.

Beidou and Sucrose are both in the same boat of characters people know are very strong, but never use. She's great, but I can't recommend building her unless you already know what team you want to play her in, because otherwise you just may never play her.
Yoooooooooo a beidou video! She was the very first character I got outside of the starter trio on Childe's first banner. I genuinely did not stop playing her until I got Yelan on her first rerun when I finally gave up trying to fit her into abyss where her ult struggled on boss enemies. Way back then, I also accidentally started a mini contest to see what the highest counter people could pull off in the Beidou Mains server. I remember us counter addicts popping off when the Husk domain came out for the electro damage bonus and we all farmed screenshots and recordings for high damage counters. Good times
I mean, she's fun AND she's good... what more can you ask? If only enemy ai/attacks weren't so janky, she would be among the best in the game imo
IMO Beidou is one of those characters that has great value at early AR but does tend to fall off once one has better units. I paired her with Yanfei, Mona, and Sayu before I had my first limited 5* which was Raiden, and Beidou was one of my strongest units alongside Yanfei. Early overloads + I got lucky and got early constellations so the shield was incredible. For early AR players I'd say invest in Beidou especially if you get early constellations.

Limited banner 5*. I was early AR so even though she was a standard 5* she definitely wasn't hitting as hard as my Raiden was when I got her initially so somewhere in my mind she was a 4* for a long time because her burst was only hitting for 20k while a Yanfei CA could hit for 15k. Happy to say my Mona can now bubble pop for 70k, I'm happy with it! My mistake.@@jamahldavis5078

I mained her and triple crowned her. And one thing i have to say is that she has to be the hardest character to build in my experience. She needs to do damage so she needs good crit stats and lots of attack percentage since she doesnt have much attack, she also needs er to get her burst up which does like 90 percente of her damage. And her skill is quite satisfying so im not to eager to use 4 peice emblem.
What happened to Beidou is Raiden released but Raiden's burst doesn't work with Beidou because it's considered burst damage.

Beidou is really interesting in that out of all the electros besides Raiden she is the only one I can think that her mains I’ve talked to still argue Hyper style comps are more potent for her then Dendro. Not saying that if true or not but many of them seem adamant about it.
For me I just really like playing her whether team makes sense to others or not, I would often do Fischl Beidou teams with them as the pure focus and everyone else supporting them which worked well for me because of my admiration for both, but for those choosy about one or the other I get the annoyance of people telling you that you have to pair characters a certain way all the time.
She's actually a good alternative to Zhongli in a Furina + Neuvilette hypercarry @ C0 Neuvilette... Her burst provides an electro shield, yes she has no resistance shred unlike Zhongli and shield is not as thick but good enough for variety (using same characters can be boring sometimes).

One character that is very much overlooked is lisa , with dendro she’s very good and versatile. She can be dps aggravate , (with fischl they destroy everything and Thundering fury set is practícally made for her ), support/subdps for tighnari and al aitham. She can also do hyperbloom and dish out good damage. And taser is still an option for her. She can also replace sara before c6. And she’s free, sha has some issues but nothing that serious

the idea of needing a fischl in every beidou team is misleading.
as long as the 4th member is a fav user, it's more than enough since you play beidou when there's 2+ enemies.
it should also be common knowledge now that she needs either an ER weapon or sands.
i often choose a fav yaoyao in sucrose taser so that it turns into quickbloom.
the reason i dont play beidou as much is because ive been using her for 2 years.
i'd rather play with new characters.

Man, the BO2 music... Never gets old. I have my beidou a bit neglected but, at the same time, I do not have Kuki yet, I still consider her quite strong and it's quite useful (and fun!) when I do decide to pull her out for Abyss

I mained Beidou the moment I got her 3 years ago during the 1.1 update. I still main her and I will make it my personal mission to main her until the very end. Nowadays, she's more used for off field damage but my god is getting her counter timing perfect so damn satisfying

One thing that isn't spoken of is that Beidou is the only electro character that can activate Inazuman puzzles without an electro seelie or an electrogram. I have a sneaking suspicion that she is secretly the electro archon, if not...why the unique capability...lol

She got old. Really thats it, she has been around so long that she just kind of got forgotten about. And then she did not really work with dendro as well as the others. You can trigger dendro cores off her E skill, but her burst not really working with them hurts.
Dori is actually a really good healer in multiplayer......which is very niche.
I love Beidou so much she was one of my main supports for Yoimiya when I needed some aoe and the shield too. I don't think she gets enough love overall I feel like she works in almost any team and also she's rad as a character
