- Healers were once considered a dead class in Genshin Impact back in the days when shields dominated the meta. But in recent times they've quickly become some of the most valuable characters in the game. Today we'll be looking at the history of healers, and the rollercoaster ride they went through.

@@sonofdeleniel007 Uh....that applies to off-field characters only. The active character can still die to corrosion, and multiple stacks will kill even faster regardless of shields.
@@sonofdeleniel007No, on field character can die to corrosion. Only off field characters can’t. I’ve had to reset in the abysses with like 12 wolfhounds sometimes because the corrosion killed my Hu Tao through Zhongli shield.
Technically the corrosion was already in 1.6 before Inazuma launched. It was a pain in the ass in abyss.

I can't believe people overlook that baizhu IS a buffer, he buffs all dendro reactions caused by anyone he heals for 6 seconds. In quick-swap teams thats most of the party.
I really wish they added an actual hydro shielder who has consistent off-field hydro application. Or an anemo shielder who swirls elemental auras off of you.
Hydro shielder might become a reality with either Sigewinne or Dahlia!

That basically XQ and C4 Jean but not actually shield despite it has shield animation(C4 Jean)
They both reduce damage taken while doing hydro application and always swirl off of you(jean burst)
Anemo shielder will always be Op, I guess they save it for Varka or some future important characters
So you want a Jean who shields? Its kinda unnecesary and that anemo shielder wouldn't gain any attention at all if they dont bring something different to the table

i wouldn't include Kokomi or Kuki on that list since they were regarded as really strong units way before furina.

Diluc was my first 5 star and he was fully built by the time I benched him for better units over a year ago. Xianyun (mostly her) and Furina have finally made him playable in difficult content again and it feels nice knowing my grinding from the past wasn’t wasted

She was in a dark place, people literally refuse to pull for her cuz like why would you need a dedicated healer if xq, bennet, and zhongli is enough? The only people that pulled her were people that liked her. So no, it took people 2 patches later after her release to see her potential.
I've always run a healer in my teams ... but that's because I suck at dodging 😅
I’m still kinda new and my only healer I have is Yao Yao. She helps it’s just I hate when I dodge to far I can’t get the carrots she throws lol
If you aren't playing shield, then you aren't suck at dodging
as a shytty dodger in games, if you play long enough without a shield you'll get the hang of it no doubt. The dodging in Genshin is pretty forgiving compared to other games. Once you've killed enough of an enemy you'll get the hang of I-framing or dodging their attacks with ease
I'm in the same boat but thankfully, Toram prepared me before going into Genshin so I can manage a boss since Toram's bosses are more ruthless. I just can't dodge multiple enemies at once.

his shield is very very weak, and he is used more for healing rather than shielding, even thoma is a better shielder than the snake boy.
Baizhu's shields are more useful for interruption resistance than full shielding.
Not to mention Baizhu’s shield breaks on it’s own so a new one can be created and Heal’s the active character.

i think u should have also mentioned the change in enemy design. In earlier versions, enemies could stagger u a lot but did barely any damage. Whereas, starting in version 2, magu kenki and rift hounds were released, dealing way more high damage abilities. With harder hitting and health draining enemies, healers became more essential to an exploration and sometimes abyss composition. Then in version 3 and 4 we had abyss heralds and fatui agents that require a healer to fight (especially favouring catalysts like kokomi baizhu and barbara) A combination of new enemies and new characters saved the healer class.
I think another interesting point is how healers have become more of a necessity but Bennett is slowly becoming less needed. With the introduction of dendro and then HP scalers, less teams need Bennett. They’re slowly but surely “nerfing” him. A lot of teams still need him and probably will continue to but it’s also nice to have teams that don’t since there aren’t 2 Bennetts. I wonder how the pyro archon will change things…
Actually there's the Furina-Xianyun-Bennett core that's pretty powerful though.

yeah they maybe trying to nerf benett but he is such a amazing healer and buffers and he is four star after all. but i do think he will still be strong. dont forget next nation is pyro and pyro resonance is great too. I dont think benett may die because dps based on atk units will always be in game. benett will always be a option for ftp players.
They’re really balancing bennett well. He’s still just as strong in almost any team as a generalist, but now that specialists are becoming sidegrades or upgrades to him in specific teams, players are being rewarded for c6ing him and turning him into a specialist too, in which he opens up new teams that rely on infusions and buffs pyro teams further. For example, cryo teams have supports like shenhe, physical have mika, and so on. Most dps can’t have their element overrides either so even if you want to continue using him generally, you can. The few characters who his c6 interrupts like Ayaka and Eula are running out of space on their teams and likely benching him anyway.
I was never very interested in Bennett’s design personally, and only actually started using him after c6 for my yoimiya (and even then I mostly bench him). When I invest into a mono pyro team, I’ll get more usage out of him. I sometimes drop him into partly invested teams and his c6 has never actually been an issue for me, but it has been a blessing with the release of gaming and xianyun.
He still has his uses and is as powerful as ever in those teams, whilst just not being best in slot for as many. I think he’s hoyo’s best example of balancing without nerfing. If anything, his c6 got buffed over time from halving his team options to opening up more than it can block (and Bennett not being used in the teams it’s not compatible with in the first place, once you have enough characters, which you probably will by the time he’s c6).
He still gets new teams gradually too, like he’s a best in slot support for lyney. They aren’t trying to powercreep him which would’ve been the more obvious choice in most gachas if a single lower rarity support at launch becomes the universally strongest buffer for any team.

With the release of Furina, we can say that healing is the new way of dealing damage.
Honestly the way to make people use Shielder units over healer units now is really ether just make more units like Hu Tao that want to have huge HP pools and want to be low on HP constantly or just make shields have thorn damage.
Just make the Abyss less anti shield and you already make them viable, this whole fiasco started because they hate having to buff Zhongli and addicted to HP change. Look at Star Rail and you will see how addictd they are to HP shenanigans and shield can barely reach Layla number let alone Zhong

Noelle is the actual gigachad, she can do decent amount of dmg, healing, shielding and works very well with furina. I wonder how she hasn't been promoted into a favonius knight considering lore-wise she is very strong and dedicated

Honestly the last chars which require shields are Wanderer and Yoimiya imo since they are the only chars who lose a ton of dmg if they get interrupted or need to dodge

If you have wanderer then that c4 jean is goated with furina. wanderer + c6 faruzan + c4 jean + furina is one of the most broken teams, rivaling premium xiao team consisting of the same c6 faruzan + xianyun + furina

Healing sure has gone through a lot. From being overshadowed by shields to being essential with furina or dendro. Healings success has been fluctuating, and it's making me think of natlan might bring shields back?

Kokomi is the reason why corrosion and those damn rift hounds were created. She was supposed to be the next big money waifu, but nobody pulled for her. Then they made corrosion and then everybody regretted not having her. I pulled her because she was gorgeous and I kept her in my party for a very long time even at level 40.
baizhu my 🐐 one tap of his skill and everyone is healed. my abyss king in furina teams especially with neuvillette, those 3 carry me so hard it's crazy
Cool thing about poise damage, certain elemental reactions can amplify this damage, and enemies also have unique instances of poise damage resistance as well.
For instance, Overload or Shatter deal amplified poise damage, with the former capable of launching enemies that do not have launch immunity. Shields negate this quite a bit, but it is still possible for characters to be staggered by an Overload reaction even while Shielded (the shield must break by the damage caused for this to occur). Klee and Jean's charge attacks also have intrinsically high poise damage, capable of launching and juggling even Lawachurls and Kairagi.
Certain attacks like weak spots and Pneumia/Ousia attacks inflict special instances of poise damage on relevant enemies, and no poise damage in other instances.
Of all enemies, the elemental cubes (except Geo and Cryo), Andrius, Azdaha, Apep, La Signora, the Electro and Hydro Oceanid, and the Fontaine/Inazuma Mech bosses are all immune to external sources of poise damage. Every other enemy in Genshin can be staggered in one way or another.
Qiqi was the first unit I’ve ever pulled and she was the only reason I survived those early days. Say what you want about her but I appreciate her.
I think We'll get buff for Def in Natlan like how we got for EM in Sumeru, HP in Fontaine. Chiori's release is also seems kind of indication for it. Kuki also released before sumeru and was considered as C-D tier unit but look at now even Baizu was once a bad unit but after Fontaine he's one of the best.
A shield character who works well with the geo resonance would be nice. Actively creating shards and shields, stacking buffs/debuffs, and benefits based on shield strength.

My Baizhu is a perfect example, literally 1 tap of his E skill & my entire party is healed but since i have pulled him i realized the difference before, i would always have another teammate die or there hp was so low that I wouldn’t pull them out but baizhu makes it possible, and now healing bonus artifacts have become more valuable to me now.

..the problem is that since all the new units have hp related mechanics, Furina becomes a must in their best teams. And I fear that it will go the same way for Arlecchino
From what I hear (this is just alleged don’t @ me) Arlecchino could also work as a hypercarry in a Chevreuse Overload comp, so she doesn’t necessarily have to rely on Furina for success
Arlecchino is said to work best with overload team so maybe not 😂
furina is a bis character anyway for 90% of the roster without the inherent hp drain. shes just an overtuned character. arlecchino will probably have her in her best team either that or she will have chev in it

I really think what hurt Baizhu’s first banner was Dendro fatigue and the odd chronological placement in the story. There was so much hype and intrigue around him in early game, then it felt like they forgot about him- we had Sumeru and introduced a dozen Dendro characters, some of extreme viability, and then Baizhu comes out of nowhere and we’re tapped out on Primogems.
15 years ago, I made a written list of what I think are the best Super Moves in video game. #1, I put ANY Healing spell because they can be the difference between life and death. I still stand by that. When I started playing Genshin, I wasn't a newbie player to the world of RPGs, I was brining in over 20+ years of experience in and you can imagine my relief when I saw there were healers in the game. I had already had a shield user in Noelle (who I still use btw), so when I got Barbara, I was like, "Thank goodness." While I do have better healers than here now like Baizhu and Xianyun (sp?), I will still use Barbara for Thunderbloom (and healing) at times. I wanted a healer on my team from the get-go simply because of how I play and I always feel more relaxed when I have a healer and shield user on my team.
On the shielding side, it be cool if we get an Electro Shield user because when Natlan comes around, we have our Pyro archon and I think her + plus an electro shield user would be awesome combo because I got this picture of the Pyro archon bulldozing with Overload reaction lol.

I have been pairing Neuvillette with Baizhu so I don't get staggered while doing his charged attacks. And to also offset the HP drain from Furina.
one type of team that definitely likes shielding is bow users. while many bow users are off field, ganyu, yoimiya, and tighnari (if anyone uses him) definitely like shielders of some type.

baizhu kinda filled that roll for tighnari (helping with dendro application while also supplying healing AND a shild), and diona kinda does that for ganyu, but it would be nice to have even more team comps that focus on super armor being important
As a Healer Primary, these changes have been a blessing, allowing for meta discussion to be more tolerable for me. However I think before Shielding overall gets some worthy fixes (I think Natlan will bring that in), Geo itself needs it.
This is tangentially related but I find Hoyoverse’s approach to buffing or nerfing characters or mechanics-namely, indirectly via introduction of new characters or weapons-to be interesting. In this case, they didn’t change how strong individual characters’ shields are. They introduced new characters that use healing in a unique way that doesn’t interact with shields. Sort of like how they’ve tried to drive Bennett out of the spotlight by introducing a bunch of HP-scaling characters and dendro reactions that don’t use attack. Makes me wonder what future characters will have in store for old ones.

They ARE useless. Unless you have Furina or use Bennett, healers do nothing to help make you run faster when Abyss is all about the timer. Unless they make a Genshin equivalent of Sim Uni/Pure Fiction where staying alive is all that matters, dodging is always faster than wasting time waiting. Even shielding is faster but Hoyo just have a massive grudge against Zhongli

Also what I was referring to having 0 HP is your goddamn Damage Dealer that didn't survive some BS thrown in your way, so now it has 0 HP which means 0 DPS. Job of a healer is your damage to not reach 0 HP. If your damage cannot do 36-star clear with a healer in team, your Artifacts, weapon or team suck or all you can do is dodge and have Skill issue everywhere else.

About the shields on shields thing, I only have seeing people complaining about it with the idea of making Crystallize useful.

I got jean and kuki real early on when i started actually playing. They carried me through pretty much everything lol
Not sure about alternative element Zhongli. All the 4-star shielders were free to use the same interaction model for shields as Zhongli because as the only 5-star shielder, he would have the best shield due to 5-star scaling.
To get around comparing two 5-star shield units, Baizhu has a completely different interaction model for his shield.
The impact of each succeeding archons after venti proves just how much venti got left behind, mihoyo should have made the cc from venti’s burst unstoppable, otherwise there’s really no use for him😢
I wish there was a dedicated geo healer! (Not just with cons or minor part of kit) I want to use furina to power up itto, he needs so much help to catch up with other dps characters but I still want to use him! Healers are my favorite type of character too, so I would like to see them in every element!

I think the main thing that Natlan could bring would be mitigation of both regular damage and poise damage. And maybe more elemental Bennetts XD
Not to mention Furina, newer characters like Gaming, Neuvilette, and Wriotheesuhyshley (Rizzly), which provided more reason to use healers. My alt account uses Gaming as my main dps and I use him with barbara (I don't have xinqiu in this account and haven't wished yet). Allows me to use a solo vape when using elemental skill while healing me overtime. the damn skill drains my hp more than furina D:

There still some domains and bosses where I find it necessity to bring a shielder. I'm not the best at dodging sometimes and some enemies can KO you in 2 or 3 hits and switching Noelle into the team made future attempts a walk in the park
I think the future in shielding is sketched out by Layla's kit. Her shield is not only spammable on CD but also applies cryo to enemies, which is great for melt team comps.
Kiraras shield applies dendro as well which is why I use her on Nilou Bloom teams.
If other shielders can do similar things too, they'd rise up in value.
As for geo shields, they could deal aoe dmg when breaking apart like in Noelle's case. The key is to make them multifunctional to rival healers.

1) My bet is that they don't want another 5* shielder because any other element would make Zhongli not the best choice in his expertise. Since geo is so niche another element would probably be more effective
2) I was always a big fan of healers, one of the reasons I used to main Dori, so see them having the spotlight is very nice
Edit: I am aware of Baizhu's shielding, but I firmly believe that it works more as to stop stagger (or however you say this word) then to shield
i remember that kokomi came at the time when the player base was putting so much importance on crit stats. it was crit stats or nothing, when it came to a character's viability. so the fact that kokomi came with negative crit caused the player base to practically revolt. plus, at the time, shielding was seen as superior, so the player base was looking for new characters that could augment their damage, more than they wanted healers. hence, all the hate towards kokomi. mihoyo even had to release an entirely new artifact set tailored to her, just so people could see her value. but thankfully, the meta has shifted. 😅
i got qiqi in the first 10 pulls of the game, god damn she made v.1 so easy all the way to liyue... and despite being the first 5 star i got she's never ascended beyond lvl 70...
I know it was for new and free players but we had too many alternatives to healers on top most players being too lazy or addicted to drop Zhongli and boring banat so it became matter of what else they do for more damage which something only few like Kokomi offered before Dendro.
I believe Natlan would be tingling the poise mechanic. So Shielder or even Dehya will be more desireable
Imagine the pyro archon kit would be: The higher the staggering resistance or shield strength applied to the team, the higher the dmg of the whole team that will be deal. That would skyrocket dehya, xingqiu and shielders so big. Imagine dehya becomes meta there in natlan "copium".
Personally I love healers and got every healer build on my account (yes, also Dori) and i think healers are so underrated these days. I mean in bg3, the class that was chosen the least was cleric, which is quite sad because I chose to be one and it’s fun! Healers are just so important and lovable (most of the time) especially in the beginning
As a lyney main, we use zhongli in replace of kazuha for the stagger resistance and not the super-armor (since bennett heals you). Getting hit in the middle of a charged attack is a HUGE dps loss which is why zhongli is really good in his teams. Yes, on paper kazuha brings increases your damage more, but in practice Zhongli is on par with kazuha in that sense.
I have c1 neuvillette but I still carry zhongli for the resistance shred,I also don’t like putting my c2 furina with neuvi on the same team,everything just dies so fast before I even finish setting up 💀.Those 2 monsters should never be put on the same team together

I think the main thing shielder need right now is more role consolidation.
Zhongli offers amazing shields and defense shred at the cost of only being a single player shielder without constellations and no notable elemental reactions.
Thoma offers long duration refreshable shields that can cause or set up pyro reactions which are again single player shields.
Layla provides more single player shields without constellations but offers decent cryo set up to drive other reactions.
Diona provides excellent coop shields that have poor reaction capabilities, but she can double as a healer.
The main thing I believe shielders need is larger pool of elemental shielders like Anemo, Hydro, etc. and to give said shielders additional functions such as grouping, buffing, debuffing, etc.
Hot take: I think that one way to improve shields (while also not powercreeping healing once again) is to just allow them to stack.
Given the increasing damage being done by enemies, even Zhongli's shield is unable to withstand some attacks (case in point Icewind Suite attacks when the automatons are separated and literally any Local Legend). Having multiple characters with stacking shields could open up avenues for interesting team compositions specifically tailored for those kind of enemies.
New characters could also be introduced who could take advantage of this shield stacking mechanic, and "on-life-support" characters (basically those who WANT to be at the lowest health possible) could be reintroduced and get a boost in meta, since playing them optimally would require the use of a shield, which currently aren't strong enough by themselves for some enemies who would definitely appear in spiral abyss sooo...yeah I'm just talking in circles at this point.
Edit: We could also get "on-life-support" BUFFERS who buff characters based on how LOW the active characters HP% is, which could open up new ways to play Fontaine characters (or anyone who drains their HP in that regard)
P.S. with this you also wouldn't need to introduce shielders with stronger shields than Zhongli, so he wouldn't get powercrept either.
P.P.S. "on-life-support" shield teams could open up new avenues for playing the game, such as ensuring your shield stays up permanently or else you die instantly. They would also be absolutely trash against rifthounds 🤣 but hey, that's game balance right there.
P.P.P.S "on-life-support" buffers definitely should have sadistic tendencies story-wise, and vice versa for the on field equivalents.
Just to clarify, even for characters like Hu Tao and Xiao, you don't want their health bars to stay in the red wherever possible. Meanwhile the "on-life-support" characters proposed here would perform optimally in this health range.
Just like how Fontaine hasn't really done anything inherently to improve Sumeru's Dendro mechanics, I believe this new mechanic could be introduced in Natlan since it too does not improve upon Fontaine's health changing mechanics.
Almost forgot, these "on-life-support" shield teams could also stress the importance of DEF on your on field character, since the shields strength is directly affected by it, thereby making DEF actually more desirable over HP in such teams, thereby introducing the non-Geo-specific DEF meta.
Alternatively, IF an on field "on-life-support" character drains HP until a certain FLAT amount (i.e. not based on HP percentage), then you could reasonably build that character for more HP instead of DEF, so that you could achieve a lower percentage HP remaining to increase the buffs gained, which sounds completely counterintuitive but THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT MORE INTERESTING.
One of the most underrated faculties of Hoyo is their incredible ability to tamper with “Meta” and subsequent characters that release during that period of needing them but in a way that doesn’t flat out make them irrelevant in the future
It’s more so they throw a dart at which underused play style they think isn’t developed and dedicate half a patch cycle to it
Of course there’s still a lot of stuff they haven’t tinkered with but frankly not half-assing stuff just to say they did it helps the longevity of the game (Overload Burning and Shielding I can all realistically see getting attention during Natlan)

I am pulling for Jean in 4.5! I always liked Jean character design but the fact she Synergises so well with Furina is just a plus!!
I remember when I wished for there to be another Zhongli-type to throw in the opposite abyss half, fast forward to now I don't even use Zhongli in either.
As a Qiqi main, I've always favored healers. However, Layla is also a mainstay for me. I did have Zhongli on my team for a long time early game, but as soon as I got Layla I replaced him. Her shield is excellent, but so is her cryo application. Besides all that, her design is my absolute favorite.
They were never useless, is just that some (or maybe even most) players instead of building the character for what they are supposed to function they just make them another DPS for some reason
I'd argue that before Furina, the introduction of the corrosion debuff already added a necessity for healing. Since corrosion bypasses shields and DEF and it can stack, you have to bring healers in situations where there's a lot of rifthounds.
Man people sat on healers for so long, but Barbara and all honesty is such a beast to get you through not only early game You simply cannot die with her on your team
3:07 Bennet rose to prominence during patch 1.1, and by patch 1.2, he became the quintessential support we know him to be.
I played in 1.0 and people did not know who Bennett was, in coop they would run away from the burst because they thought it would damage them instead of healing.
2 other notes: in 3.0 they changed the hydro team resonance from 30% Healing Bonus to 25% HP. And Shinobu is still mainly used for the elemental application in dendro teams, and not the healing. Unless you are using Furina or another character that drains health with their skills, using characters who have no other purpose than to heal or prevent damage with a shield is a major loss of damage, because dodging the attacks instead and bringing a character that can deal more damage is better.
That nasty corrosion debuff is truly why I choose a healer, I don't need a shielder when I can dodge and negate
Baizhu is essential on my hyperbloom team. He has 50K HP so he gives his max DMG bonus on hyperblooms, which makes my FLoP Raiden deal 44K on each hyperblooms :)
Seeing how well Hoyo has gotten at creating new units that shake up the meta and bring back forgotten characters without making everyone else useless is really great, now im just excited to see what characters we get in Natlan and Snezhnaya, im pretty sure that no one would disagree that while Hydro, Anemo, Dendro and Electro are really good elements Pyro, Cryo and ESPECIALLY Geo need more love so i may be coping but i do believe that Natlan and Snezhnaya are gonna save Pyro, Cryo and Geo (and possibly/hopefully even Physical?)
And next when Natlan come up with Murata, Zombie skill (Unit with resurrection like Barbara & Qiqi C6) will become new meta. 💀➡️💪

I use hutao or ayaka with yelan for dps. Got no zhongli for nevullite and healer like Jean or kokomi for furina so who should i consider having the most pull value

I think 3.x was probably when healers and shielders were the most balanced, honestly, cause while Kokomi and Kuki saw an increase in popularity, so did Thoma for burgeon. Granted, burgeon is a lot less popular of a reaction, but he was pretty much never used before that. Zhongli could also still be slotted into any team that wasn't Nilou bloom, because geo doesn't interfere with dendro reactions. During 3.x, I played him in nearly all my hyperbloom or aggrevate teams if I wanted to feel comfy. Cryo shielders like Layla and Diona were sometimes used in fridge archetypes, and shielders were almost mandatory when playing Scara, bc it's a pain in the ass to play him without that resistance to interruption. Scara also appreciated shielders of swirlable elements to trigger the buffs on his e. So not only were shielders relevant, but having shielders with different elements became important, increasing the use of characters like Thoma and Layla, rather than just Zhongli every time.
It really is amazing how healers now is more in demand than ever, tho I do think healers and shielders are now balance. I have a healer in my first team then a shielder in the other. Super armor is just too good to pass up especially for bow users like me.

Edit: If the Pyro Archon will be an on-field DPS then I can see the resurgence in shielding. Natlan is gonna bring new 5* shielders to the table to synergize with the Pyro Archon, not powercreeping Zhongli, I can see that some future shielders will have their own gimmick in how they wanna be used.

I believe Natlan is going to be around self-inflicting reactions, seeing that Bennett is the only hero that can self apply Pyro. I think we're going to get a DPS who can self inflict Hydro, Cryo, or Electro on allies and its mechanic revolves around how many are inflicted with Hydro, Cryo, or Electro. Imagine that.
I think the Pyro Archon will be a versatile support like Raiden and Nahida where both Raiden and Nahida can act as either main DPS, sub-DPS, or support.

Healers are more accessible. I don’t have Zhongli. My best shielder is Kirara, who is useful. I plan to level Layla soon, but my shield experience with Diona and Noelle has been underwhelming. For healers, I have Kokomi, Bennett, Yaoyao, Kuki, Furina, and Barbara. Availability is what determined my play style and team composition.
Kokomi has always been praised for her hydro application though, especially in ganyu or ayaka freeze.
Kokomi often has been use as an off-fielder bcs of her good hydro application. Furina upgraded her a lot to be a more capable unit as an on-field driver/dps bcs of her perfect aoe healing which synergizes well with furina's kit. Teams like kazuha, kokomi, yelan/xingqiu and furina is one of the most broken mono elements teams. I enjoyed that team a lot especially in the abyss with the presence of pyro enemies. Before furina, kokomi was mainly used as an off field unit. The role of her as an on-field driver/dps was in nilou bloom and hyperbloom teams where kokomi drives the reaction around her
No one needs her anymore and back then her hydro app got buffed while Barbara got unfairly nerfed. She is and always was a dead spot. People just use her because Ayaka don't have any other good teammates until now

Chevruse has been a staple on my team since she dropped. Just use her E skill and then anyone I switch to, within in 15 seconds, get continuous heals. She’s half built really with shitty healing artifacts to boot, but I can still get 8000+ total HP healing every 15 seconds

Technically if you go with the theory that the pyro archon will be a super buffed bennett,I wouldn't be surprised if Murata comes out as a shielding damage buffer who provides a similar gimmick to Furina but instead the buff is inversed. In the sense that taking damage,especially with shields,provides a high percentage buff. This gives them both a unique place in teams which utilize shields and teams that utilize healing but also a shared spot on hypercarry teams in that they influence one another.
Yaoyao became the essential Dendro healer I needed for a Nilou Bountiful Core team that also consisted of Nahida and Furina. Having Yaoyao (or more exactly Yuguei) means I could for the most part keep Furina's three imaginary friends around to deal damage and apply Hydro alongside Nilou, and then Nahida to apply Dendro.
I love using Yaoyao in my Nilou team. She’s just so good 💕.
