As an avid camper I had my share of stoves over the years, inlcuding a few MSR Whisperlight (original and international version). While the MSR is solid and uses common gasoline now I am exlusivley using gas canister stoves (different size/shapes for different outings). The MSR was always a bit of fluffing around to get going and a bit hard to modulate the heat (if more than just boiling water), pots and stove always black.... Canister stoves are for me the go in countries where the canisters are available, but in really remote location the MSR fuel stove still has its place.
Good points. I have tons of agree with everything you said even though I only use the MSR whisperlight. Thanks for sharing your experience here in the comments
Seems like a lot of extra volume to carry just to be able to use the fuel of your bike for cooking. I guess for really extended trips where you cannot get fresh gas canisters it would be nice, but otherwise I do not see much sense in this system, for myself at least.
Coffee break in the middle of a front tire repair! Nice seeing the trail jack in use, I picked one up after watching a previous video you had on it.
