*inserts every lamb of god song*
yes
Jacob Noel They're fucking amazing
Not all Lamb of God songs are in Drop D.
Jacob Noel could be just me but I dig overlord as well.
Christopher Dubois not at all man that song has quickly climbed to one of my favorites. As well as The Duke.
Lamb of God is the band who can make drop D the heaviest tuning
True
Nah bro avenged sevenfold😎
Dw kidding
Nice profile pic bro
@@Ryan-yz1tf right back at you
That award goes to Psycroptic sir. But LOG is always 🔥🔥🔥
Laid to rest never gets old!
i love how Jamie has the gauges and long hair and beard, then when he speaks he sounds like an angel
+selina cruz haha thanks mate!! I appreciate it. So true about me 😂
Selina Cruz stfu
Ghrruuuuuuhhhhhh METALLLLL 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
@@poopstain5216 no u
Kieren York FUCK ASS SHIT
Blood of the scribe, the chorus riff is amazing
One of my favorite is 512
Il signor Tiplanoinculo samd here homie
Yess I love it because its quite different and the changing of Randy's voice throughout the song.
Il signor Tiplanoinculo i Thought the same but it's not drop D, I guess
its drop C#
Michael Scott Hmmm. I love 512, and my metal guitar is currently tuned to standard D...
10 Sylosis riffs that restore faith in standard tuning metal
Tyler Barnes BRO! Sylosis is my shit, fucking love them!!!
Aristotle Theo Sylosis is everyone's shit
You are wise, my friend.
Opeth - Heir Apparent is a damn heavy ass song that you wouldn't believe that it's in E standard
Reading this made me so happy! By far my favourite band!
"The Faded Line" has my favorite LOG riff.
Excellent job. Lamb of god has delicious riffs.
Bruh u didn’t even play the best riff in hourglass
Some of these are actually just mind blowing!
Brought back the reign of LOG memories, an awesome band hands down. And Thanks Jamie for every upload you do!! 🤘 And Cheers for playing Pathetic!! 🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥
Omg, that killer tone. Awesome video dude, I love LoG :)
You should look into this thing called palm muting, particularly for hourglass lol
Yeaaa i love lamb of god thank you so much for this video, keep them coming cause you're awesome dude
It's the first time I'm here and you are really talented guitarist and enthusiastic as a person. I like that, keep it up, man
Ghost Walking is also a good song by Lamb Of God.
Mikhail Khapov drop D riffs here not drop C#
Oh. Alright.
MCORP shouldn't it be called dropped B?
laber mich nicht zu Drop B is a whole step down from Drop C#
ah so it's the tuning that trivium uses on in waves, isn't it?
I love the riff from hourglass. One of my favs. Along with the Blood of the scribe chorus riff.
Laid to Rest always will have a special place in my heart. The first metal experience I ever laid ears on.
I'm so glad you put pathetic on this list. I think that's a severely underrated lamb of god song. It's such a great riff!
You're definitely the next Lamb of God guitarist
P.D: You must sign with Jackson if you want to look like Mark Morton
+Francisco Peirone haha I wish!! 🙏
Not taking away from Jamie's guitaring skills at all, but it is completely different to learn how to play the songs as opposed to actually writing them from scratch. Lamb of God are all geniuses.
@@MultiCrackShot Honestly I feel like someone with his experience could easily write riffs like that. Their riffs have a pretty specific formula and with some creativity you could write something like that.
I really like Lamb of God's Resolution album
Niklas Freericks it's their weakest album to be honest
***** They are doing something right if i like their weakest album
I agree with Jacob but there is a song called King Me...emotional af...in a good way.
Franco Reyes Yeah, not really the Lamb of God vibe but its still a good song
how its like there most brutal. ghostwalking is definently my fav song.
dude you nailed it. my favorite riffs get me jacked at the gym
It gives me hope that you started this compilation off with ruin. Love you for that
I'd love to hear ya dig into Ammon Amarth
That will restore your faith in drop A and drop G
Great video Jamie! I love LOG!
I can’t pick a favourite as there are too many great songs by lamb of god, Although I love “now you’ve got something to die for”
And also Descending, I’d like to hear you play that 😃 such a great tune!
"Now You've Got Something to Die For", fav Lamb of God song by far, you saved the best for last good sir.
+Jenocide such a great song!
Your intro was enough for me to subscribe. Keep it up!
Was thinking about clicking away, but then you told me not to. Turned out to be top advice - thanks!
Insanely talented creative. Love your work
Thanks! :) Rachel’s music is beautiful
Badass as always. 👏👏
Sick vid man! Always a pleasure to watch you play! I love the light hearted humor and choice of guitars too. Ibanez, ltd and schecter, hell yeah!
Yeh man! In Flames riffs would be cool
Old In Flames!
I still think that the fast part in Vigil is one of their best riffs ever.
Then when they slow it down and you're just putting your head through the floor
I've seen LOG live 2x and they have such and incredible and intense vibe!!! Jamie you definitely did them justice!!
Awesome job as always! Keep it up! Uh just from the top of my head I also like the riffs in Ghost Walking, Blood of the Scribe, blackened Cursed Sun...
Very good job! Damn reminded me of how excellent sacrament is and how hot they were then. Thanks for this video, log is my favorite metal band. I like the new song delusion pandemic a lot.
you seem much more confident in your videos! actually look like your enjoying it! more enjoyable to watch!
+Aaron Tottman thanks Aaron!! 🙏 it's something I've been working on 😊
Jamie Oldfield I remember you saying you don't like talking to the camera much, seriously, what ever you are doing it's working bro!
+Aaron Tottman ^____^ yayyyy
Yeah just something about lamb of God songs that makes guitar playing fun and enjoyable I would recommend that someone that wants to advance from beginner to modern guitar Playing this is for you.
Your voice don’t match your face
now you got something to die for's outro was so good dude
Laid to rest is such much fun to play, never gets old
You had most of my favorites. Ghost Walking would have been a good one.
Nice vid. Hey dude, what about some as i lay dying riffs?
my new favorite channel!
Laid to rest has got to be one of the best riffs ever love playing it, took me a little while though not an easy song
Great job bro :D. You should do a Deftones or Korn one :)
A better way of saying this title would have been something like this, Mark Morton: Restoring Your Faith in Drop D Tuning. You could go through LoG's entire catalog and maybe, MAYBE find one or two riffs that aren't very good. And when you consider that's seven records, that's saying a lot.
Aaron Turner haha it may have been a bit long but I'll consider it 😏
Fanboying aside, I really do struggle to think of any LoG riffs that aren't good. Even when it comes to Mark's "worst" ones, they're just decent metal riffs. There aren't very many guitarists out there you can say that about.
Actually Willie Adler wrote allot of those riffs, songs Willie wrote: "Black Label," "11th Hour," "Blood Junkie," "Hourglass," "Blood of the Scribe," "Beating on Death's Door," "Ashes of the Wake," "Ruin" and "Again We Rise."
Nice work dude, love you're vids more and more. I also had loved to see 512, one of my newer faves. :)
amazing job Jamie, it's crazy to see how far you've come, your gaining subs fast! congrats
Kickass man! Perhaps we can get an In Flames video?
+Silly Siji ooooh great band
and now you’re at 70K
Yehhhhhh
Tbh i didn't know i had to restore my faith in drop d tuning but he made it all clear! Earned yourself a sub brother!
+ Favorite LOG song = Broken Hands
Subscribed and on notifications. Hourglass has been my favorite song for ever man and u straight killed ALL them riffs. props bro
+Dylan Payne thanks bro!!!! Appreciate it. Should be uploading tomorrow 😊
you Play so tight. very good!!🤘🤘🤘
Damn, I dont need more strings, i need more practice.
Great top 10 riffs by Lamb of God man, been a die hard fan of them since I was 12 they never get old, Sacrament and Ashes of the wake are still jewels to me
Awesome skills man you nailed those riffs I know how tricky they are to get sounding right. Flawless picking technique. Thanks for showing e the correct way to play/pick these riffs
I can't think of one song from LoG (lol) that I don't like, when I listen I start from the beginning and let it play through. Yes....i.....still....have....CDs..
ryan donavon Nothing wrong with that! I still buy music off iTunes on my iPod haha
fucking awesome
+Esiel Clark haha thanks mate 🙏 🙇
as SOOOOON as you started playing Ruin, I lost my shit.
i was headbanging at my desk at work.
\m/
After seeing this, decided to stay in drop d 😁 2 riffs already done without knowing were they came from 🤘🏻 love all your videos! Go on!
Wow.. That was amazing bro 🤘
Awesome :D now can we have the Sylosis riffs video dude? :D
+A Guy yeahhhhhh
Woohoo
walk with me in hell yeahhhh!!!
11th hour riff is amazing, didn't even know the song! Thanks I guess! You 've nailed all of them in this video
Stay heavy!
Your playing is super tight and precise my dude lol there's this sweet elegance that's laced with brutality that makes me go "hey I like that" lol subscribed!
How bout some Opeth riffs? :D
+Fran Lovel Šimić omg I love opeth!!
same! :D
UP!
bro Wat band is your intro ....or is that just u because everytime I hear it I headbang so hard😂😂
+Alias Reed haha yeah mate. It's me!! ^___^
Jamie Oldfield question, i dont want to be one of those guys who hate metal. i love fucking metal. but ur t shirt got me questioning"are u practicing any satanic type of things". just asking. not trying to hate
Jamie Oldfield great job \m/
swagballz935 no problem mate! I'm not btw lol I'm not a religious person. But my t shirt is just metal inspired. Obviously the goat and the sigil are prevelant in satanism but it's just because i think it looks cool 😎
swagballz935 and the t shirt I'm wearing in the video is a Japanese quote made by my girlfriend
Not just 7 songs man come on literally every song by Lamb is epic af♥️🤘🏻🔥
yes brother, you missed all the other lamb of god songs ! loved your video just subbed keep it up !
What's wrong with drop d?
Zack Fraser nothing. I think it's just that tons of newer metal bands are playing in lower tunings like drop C and A primarily
Yeah breakdowns are drop nothing in 2025...
Capperith Bands are gonna be tuning their whole guitar 2 octaves down
That's what I was thinking. Avenged Sevenfold is still going strong playing primarily in drop D. I think even Gojira has songs in drop D. I get what it's about but there are some seriously cool bands still playing in drop D.
Zack Fraser Nothing is wrong with Drop D. It just seems that just about every Post Hardcore band just one day decided to listen to Meshuggah and they said "Derrrp we can do that tooo, cept with morez breakdownz and instead of the low F tuning, lets make that a full ocatve low E from standard, deerrrr" So then Djent was formed and now every 16 yr old kid listening to the new trendy Djent music today, is picking up a 8 string guitar, turning the gain all the way up, playing the same string over and over (yeah really taking Meshuggah to the next level xD) and worst of all, playing an 8 string with SHIT TONE. That sums up just about all djent today. Cry me a river
I loved the part when you brutally murdered all those children
You had me growling the lyrics in Ruin.
You do that shit well man!
Props!
Such a pleasurable listen :D
no pathetic?
look again
omg im stupid lol
Heh. Funny.
Pathetic.
perfecto job bro, like always, i love lamb of god and i think the best riffs of they are in D drop, vigil, blood of the scribe are another good songs, the all ashes of the wake album is perfect, but my fav song are For your malice, i think this song are overrated and is sooo intense =)
+Diego Killuminati so much fun to play! Drop d is great
great playing! great riffs
I subscribed to this channel coz you have serious skill in the art of metal. All the best mate.
Good shit man. You should make a top 10 Korn riffs. \m/
Subject ZerØ no, korn is a disgrace to metal along with disturbed and slipknot
Literally a Meme completely agree
but why tho?
korn riffs lol do they even have riffs?
they have and their riffs are good
How to restore faith in drop d = listen to Tool
veryvery true
as the palaces burn..all the way, good work buddy!!
You nailed it all 🤘🏼
I don't listen to Lamb of God and never have, I just wanted to come here and tell you all how superior I am because I listen to Tool and therefore I have not lost my faith in drop D because I listen to better music than you.
Insederec haha the sarcasm is brilliant
@Insederec I am superior because i don't listen to the opinions of dumbfucks like you.
P.S - I listen to both Tool and Lamb of God, and they are pretty different in genre.
Sushan nep ever heard of satire
tool sucks..log rules
Real music fans don't care abiut genre
All I hear is fucking slayer
laid to rest always brings me guitar hero memories... awesome video btw!
Awesome Playing! May have been screaming along to everything...

Slaying it! Would’ve loved to see your take on ‘More Time to Kill’, but it’s hardly important. Love your stuff man.
