When Mark said near the front “There’s so many good guitar players, I’m lucky to have my job.” Here’s the difference, Mark, you write the music these guys play. In most cases, these people don’t/can’t write this kind of stuff. No hate towards any of these musicians, but it takes special talent to write it & have it connect, like Mark & Lamb if God do!

    Mark...
Today on my way home from work I was thinking about this video and some of the things you said. Like "I gotta get my chops up" "I'm lucky to have the gig I do" and "good guitarist are a dime a dozen".
Now, while every one of those things could and may be true, the difference is YOU brother.
If you left LoG and they picked up someone else, I guarantee you for a fact that replacement just couldn't be you. Ever. And you know it too.
It's your unique style and writing style that makes you the god that you are today. And yes sir, you are a guitar god at this point.
Also want to add that even tho we all know that you know that you're a fucking genius. Myself, I really enjoy and appreciate your modesty and ability to stay humble.
You're a fantastic person (so it seems) and a brilliant guitarist.
    Just wanted to share that.

Yee. It's relatively easy to pick up a guitar and learn how to play a few songs. But writing your own song that really sticks out is pretty goddamn hard. I've scrapped so much of my own stuff because they all just sounded like derivative rip-offs.

Love your work on all the albums. To cover is not to create. To copy what u do is made possible by u but to create what u do is a whole nother level. You shred hard brother just keep doing what u do and let these wannabes keep dreaming they could fill your massive shoes.

You know you have a lot of songs when it takes the whole guitar community collectively remembering them so nothings forgotten.
