  • Ed O'Grady walks through the all-new Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, the first of Chevrolet's electrified Corvettes. This vehicle is not an electric vehicle. Instead, it uses the power of an electric motor to boost the performance of the vehicle's drivetrain, making it the first Corvette to feature all-wheel drive (AWD). While the Corvette E-Ray features a battery and electric motors, it is not a plug-in vehicle and only needs to be fueled with gasoline.
The Corvette E-Ray combines a 6.2L LT2 V8 engine with an electric motor, delivering a total of 655 horsepower. The electric motor powers the front wheels, providing instantaneous torque and improved traction, especially in challenging driving conditions. The E-Ray can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, making it one of the quickest Corvettes ever produced. Additionally, it features advanced technologies like a performance-oriented traction management system and a regenerative braking system that helps recharge the battery during braking.

Not the best horsepower vs tq explanation 😂 but beautiful Eray. On a roll tq is a factor, top end speed is affected by horsepower. The eletric tq in a roll w the V8 noise is what we're looking for no doubt.
