    In case you need to adjust the timestamp for your time zone for the recording of working hours - Update the FormatDateTime expression to this:
    formatDateTime(converttimezone(triggerOutputs()['headers']['x-ms-user-timestamp'],'UTC','Central Europe Standard Time'),'hh:mm tt')
    - Replace 'Central Europe Standard Time' with the text for your time zone here: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/embedded/gg154758(v=winembedded.80)

    Thank you Leila for another great video!
    I'm using PowerAutomate myself in my daily work as an Accountant/Controller but not yet with many implementations due to lack of time to search and implement more complex flows. Currently I'm using two flows:
    1. A simple flow that sends an email every Monday at 9h00 AM to the same Customer asking for an Open Item list so I can check if they have all invoices from last week booked or if they are missing anything
    2. We receive 90% of all invoices from our vendors by email and we have a software for invoice recognition (Readsoft) that interprets all PDF's inside an email thrown at a certain Outlook Folder. The thing is, some vendors send us all invoices inside a ZIP file, so instead of unziping everything manually, I've created a more complex flow that unzips these files and then sends a new email for each PDF inside the ZIP so it can be processed in the right way
    I've been seeking some Connectors for PowerAutomate that can deal with PDF files (combine, split, convert) but none is free, so I guess a lot of other automations to the invoices we receive by email will have to wait.
    Another cool thing that it's still missing is the ability to automatically create a new Form (Microsoft Forms) based on a pool of questions in some Excel file. For now Power Automate can only work with Forms by collecting answers, not generating the actual Quiz.
    Maybe someone here has some knowledge/ideas on how to work around this...

    It’s an awesome tool! Just started with it a few weeks ago and it is just amazing. I recommend to join the Power Automate community. There are lots of people willing to help you on your questions. For those with coding skills, JSON does not seems to be very hard (I am not an advanced coder so it will take some time for me 😊). And one cool thing is that you can add your flows to your widgets (at least in iOS..). You don’t even need to open the app!!

    Thank you very much, Leila, for another great video. I haven't tried this feature of automating the post to LinkedIn. Still, I was wondering if I could create a table, like the one you created, with a URL and a text column, but instead of activating Flow every time I want to post, I'll time it via date and time or better yet, every Tuesday at 8:00 in the morning, for example. This way, I will continue adding rows to the same table, but Flow will automatically push the next row every week.

    Leila, do you know if there's any way to refresh Excel workbooks using Power Automate? I have Power Automate set up to automatically download Excel workbooks and then Power Query / Power Pivot to create a dashboard from those workbooks. The last step in the automation chain is setting up an automatic daily refresh after the Power Automate download, but I haven't found a way to automate the workbook refresh. Currently after the Power Automate download is done, I still have to manually open the dashboard to refresh, save, and then close.

    I use Power Automate and Excel everyday. I try to Automate all that repeats, seeking accuracy, consistency, responsiveness and productivity.
    For example, my potential students answer a quiz with 15 questions. The answers are recorded in excel, an analysis of the results and a set of recommendations are sent within seconds via email, all entirely automated. Another use. I track payment dates, if it is close sends a heads up, if it is outdated sends a reminder and after x days, blocks access to O365 account. Another one is lectures completed by every student with date and time. And so on.
    I use PA + Excel in everything. I have so many interrelated tables that I'm afraid of the limits of Excel.
    That is my question for you. What limits excel?
    I haven't experienced limitations so far, with 10 or 20 tables for one single automaton or thousands of rows in a single Excel file with multiple tables and tens (40-50) PA flows hitting the same file.
    Where is the firewall?
    Thank you very much for your videos. I have learned so much. Salute from Colombia.

    • @jasonwoods5326
      @jasonwoods5326 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      5 hours ahead makes sense if you are in North America, since the stamp is UTC. This is corrected by modifying the format time minus 5 hours. The 18 hours ahead is a mystery.

    I really enjoy your tutorials and find them very useful but maybe I'm missing something here... Regarding the LinkedIn post flow, how is this more efficient than just sharing a post directly?
    Maybe I'm missing something super obvious, but social media posts aren't really actions planned with a lot of lead time. How is this better than just using LinkedIn scheduled posts?

      The example is very specific indeed. I used to manage several social media accounts professionally. I'd create the whole communication plan, then topics, etc. Schedule blog articles to be written, and possibly schedule social media posts.
      So if you have one social media account yes use the in app scheduled. I can see this coming in handy of you have several social media accounts. But then again I used some other free tools for that. I think this is just to get you thinking about the possibilities.

    I like example number 1. However, it is still not fully automate as nobody will remember to push the button everyday and at least twice a day. I wonder if there is a way to record the time I log in/log out of my PC automatically?
