i look forward to moving to kenya
That’s great! We think you’ll like it here. We sure do.
Saying this lightheartedly but I see why you fit right in. You look 99.9% Luhya tribe and he looks maybe 90% Kikuyu. And fun fact those two marry each other a lot too 😄
Anyways enough of that. Enjoyed the vlog, looking fw to more and Karibu!
Hey thanks for commenting. I wish we knew for sure what tribe or tribes we came from.
@@TravelCheckIns I hear ya. Won’t mean much but if you go to Western Kenya you’ll find people look exactly like you.
You will love this country. Feel at home
Asante sana.
Please try to eat organic food especially now that you’re in Kenya! We have plenty of fresh veggies 🥦 🥕 🥗 and beans 🫘 maize that can be combined to make healthy meals! 😊
Absolutely! We love cooking at home as well as enjoying the many cuisines in Kenya. Someone will be teaching me (Saidah) to make Ugali next week. I can’t wait!
I rotfl when you said, "You came all the way to Kenya to eat chicken wings in Buffalo sauce!" 😂
😂🤣 And right after I told him to order something for us. I gotta do better.
@@TravelCheckIns 🤣 That was too funny to me.
❤❤❤
Thanks for watching.
How are you finding kenya so far? Are you learning swahili?
We enjoy it here. We’ve found a place to live, a local church and are finding our way around to new areas. We also have our friends so that’s a plus. We study Swahili daily and try to use new words each week.
@@TravelCheckIns Oh wow! That’s so nice to hear. Having other diaspora friends help to build a community
Could you try making ya vlogs longer,, running like a full hour or more?
We can definitely give it a try! Let us know what kind of videos you’d like to see us post going forward. Thanks for the feedback and for watching.
You look like a Kenyan not AA.
We’ve been told that. We look around and see so many Kenyans who would blend right in, in the states as well.
That is one of the things that drew us here years ago. When we looked around we saw so many people who looked similar to our friends and family in the US.
Our son did DNA testing and the results were 99.8% East African. We were shocked. 😳
Its Winter 🥶?
Yes, the country's winter, runs from July to October.
@@TravelCheckIns We don't experience winter season, Kenya has a tropical climate with two rainy seasons and two dry seasons, thanks to our proximity to the equator. Instead, we experience sunny weather along with distinct rainy or cooler periods throughout the year. The dry seasons are from January to March and rainy/cold season from July to October.
I still can't get over how much y'all pay for rent I pray they are not over charging because y'all are foreigners
Thanks! Have a blessed day.
