My advice, When you settle down, kindly to do a trip outside Nairobi to experience the magic Kenya,Do a trip to Samburu,Olpajeta,Lewa Conservative and you will experience a new experience,Do Naivasha around Lake Naivasha,do a trip around Kajiado or even Diani or Watamu along Kenya coast
In Nairobi do a trip on Nairobi national park and Tigoni area for a view on tea farming
Those are experience worth for this magical Kenya
I have taken the Matatu once in Nairobi and I recall them having a route just like in Ghana where I'm from . Thats the only way of knowing which bus to take. They don't however have a time schedule. Thats the difference
Hello Saidah and Germaine. Kenyan here in Greenville, SC. Glad to see you visit Kenya. Africa is home for us all. I miss that peace of mind, zero racism etc could go on and on...I agree with the sidewalks thing but kenya is developing very very fast it is unrecognizable 5 yrs after I left so things will improve. As for driving, no better place to test your skills, I learnt there and can handle Dallas, NYC, Atlanta and LA easy 😂😂. Karibuni Kenya fam.
matatus in nairobi also operate with route which are coded in numbers i.e 33 embakasi 100 kiambu 111 ngong etc
No ways, Matutus have their routes and we know them by their numbers 8,9, 44 etc. I also drink tap water & nothing happens to me. My family yells at me but I’m good. The noise it depends on where you live. Westlands is noisy these days. Thanks for the updates. We are rooting for you to stay here forever 😊
Matatus have specific route. each sacco has its route and its usually indicated at the entrance and actually written on the vehicles body.
As a kenyan i prefer our matatu system, its quick fast and efficient, in europe you miss one scheduled bus and you have to connect , your whole day is affected, where in kenya..you just hop into the next matatu and you are good.
Hope to meet you guys when I return to Kenya. I agree with you 100% on the transportation and sidewalks in Nairobi. I love to walk but there are actually no sidewalks, therefore I am afraid to get out and walk when am there. No, I will definitely not be riding on those Matatus bus, or driving a car there in Nairobi; yes will definitely riding the uber😁
The ministry of roads need to build proper sidewalks though it depends with your neighborhood! Kenya is growing fast so the govt is using the space available from already established properties to develop infrastructure! All matatus have routes and have different boarding stages please make sure you board at the designed stages to avoid inconveniences! Kenya's party alot so their is rise in entertainment spots but the govt is working on noise regulations
most water in Nairobi is safe . just need to know if the water is fresh or borehole water. most borehole water is salty.
❤❤❤
Just one question regarding extending your visa. Couldn't you have done that over the internet instead of going in the office?
Water in Nairobi is good
2200$ is alot for rent. where are you living? How is that possible coming from someone who pays like 150$ near westlands
😂kinoo si westlands

@korirvtl. I think it's the lifestyle they chose to live. Where I was staying in Lavington, which I think was a nice area, I paid $700 of a very nice one bedroom apartment with all the amenities.
Nairobi traffic and roads will teach you defensive driving 100%😂😂
Tired of watching wildlife in the US squirrels and bunnies 🐰 😂
