I just passed the 500 mile mark on my CCX-ST. I'm 46, one replaced hip (miss playing rugby), 230lbs, 6'3" (yes stats are important). I did replace the back brake and rotor for something beefier, being as I'm a larger guy and live in an urban area with multiple hills, I need bigger brakes. I did add a handlebar riser and more cushy seat for a more upright position. All those extras were for my comfort, not because of bad components, just my style and needs. I have a great time riding it, even as my main method of travel these last 3 weeks with the weather being more comfortable to ride (though I have ridden in -4F, I don't recommend). I have yet to find a hill I can't get up in my area, nor a time when I wasn't enjoying myself. It's an excellent choice for commuting, or for pleasure.

Great review Erin. I've owned my CCX (18" frame) for 1.5 years. It weighs 65lbs which is not bad when considering the 11 pound battery it carries. In my opinion, it is a far better ebike than the Rads and Aventons and Ride One Up ebikes. To my knowledge it is the only ebike which includes both the torque sensor and cadence sensor, giving you the option of how you want to ride. A BIG selling point that gets overlooked by all the critics. For the record, I weight 160 pounds and have managed to get 112 miles on a single charge using only ECON mode riding an average speed of about 10 to 15 mph using pedal assist (minimal use of throttle). That's phenomenal 😊. I have also managed to reach 30mph in race mode in the highest gear in flat wind, level ground. I do not understand why the critics are not raving more on the Juiced lineup of models offered. For a company that's been around since 2009, it deserves much more recognition than it's getting.

I have 1,100 plus miles on mine, I tried to take off the back tire and it was hard to do even though I have worked on bikes for many years there is a sensor in the very near the back wheel that has a tiny cable attached to it, the wires are very thin and easy to brake so be very careful with it, it is a very poor design and looks like it is designed to fail, the part that is needed to replace it costs $200.00 and last time I checked it was out of stock so apparently many people have had the problem, I can't recommend buying from Juiced because they don't care about the problems they cause bikers it seems but are more interested in making more money it seems to me. if you have the wires break the bike will still work with the throttle but it drains the battery a lot more quickly.

Very interesting! I had not heard of this problem, but we’ll do some reading about it. Thanks for flagging it.

Nice coverage on the new rage of e bikes. One thing to definitely take into consideration is the weight of the person using the bike since that would effect all those data points. Seems that $700 for a battery is expensive as is the overall price as compared to the average.

Is it really that expensive considering a capacity of close to a kwh?

How much does it weigh in total? That's a pretty key figure for when you have been on a long ride and exhausted the battery and you are the only power source to get up that last hill.

Hi I've watched this review 3 times. One question is; have you tried a product like WD 40, PB Blaster or an electrical lubricant to ease battery installation? Thank you

I have not. It’s not sticking. It’s like it’s just awkwardly angled.

Your business name says you are from Canada. Your video doesn't look like it was filmed in Canada. The reason I ask is the last time I looked Juiced will not ship to Canada. Has this changed?

Good review. Just one thing - the saddle is to low. Therefore you'll loose a lot of power. Your leg is strongest when it is almost stretched - just like when you are walking 🙂
