Allantoin is traditionally derived from the comfrey plants and others in the borage family, however it is largely lab-synthesized now. At Essential we use this nature-identical synthesized form, and it appears as an odorless white powder.
Give it a try but Allantoin heated to high temp have the tendencies of recrystalizing. Also you can't use Allantoin alone with water as an effective toner. You have to add it as part of your ingredient. It is best added in the cool down phase. Without heat, it will work well but don't use it alone
I know it is water soluble, but can it be used in Anhydrous product like a body butter? This is for my personal use during winter eg. My dry/patchy skin
Yes. I dissolve it in glycerin first, then add it to the butter. Be sure to use a preservative. I have another channel, Elainesnaturals where I give info on different cosmetics
The 0.2-0.5% mentioned, does it refer to the dry powder or the water solution. What would be a good ratio of Allantoin and water before adding to the formula. Thanks in advance.
@@greenbeautychemist. it becomes cloudy if u use it pass 2% rate...i used it a few weeks ago in cleanser & it came out clear i used it at 0.5%... lotion crafter's usage rate is 0.1-2%

Allantoin is Natural identical so yes it’s a natural derivatives and could pass for natural and synthetic is an ingredient without any derivatives

Allantoin is a very expensive ingredient.
Thanks for the information about allantoin. Pls, what do you do when it crystalizes in your cream?
The cream will be of no use if Allantoin has crystallized. Pls dont use it.
@@greenbeautychemist. oh! Really? That's serious. Thanks again
But there has to be some way to decrystallize in a cream
Can i use allantoin powder just with hot water to disslove it and then adding cool water n shake it to make it into a toner??

Please teach how to dissolve kojic acid dipalmitate and also how show how to make serum using it. There's not much info on it on the internet
Not a fan of kojic acid. Try dissolving it in glycerine.

Usage rate of Allantoin is 0.2 to 0.5%. You will be the one to determine the amount of your water phase.

@@jaunbonaysmith you can use 2% but it will take some gymnastics to keep it in solution
I absolutely love your accent ♥️♥️
Thanks
True, as an Indian, i admire her because we have our own accents and proud of it
I wonder can allantoin powder be added in powdered face mask? Or does it have to be diluted in water?
Dilution in water is essential for proper functioning

Can I use allantoin in hidrolate rose water and then add in my bitter creme ?
No that is not how to use allantoin. It is meant for fresh beauty product. You shouldn't be adding it to already made beauty product
Please is it the same as alum
No it is not.
