Eddie Redmayne is such an underrated style icon… I remember seeing him wear that YSL oversized bow men’s shirt and I was so shocked to see him really go for it
Yes! When he first got into big films he seemed like such a norm-y, but after going WILD in Cabaret, and on the red carpet, he's showing us just how weird he truly is.
The issue with dresses hitting the floor is the thick carpet instead of a flat floor with just a plain red carpet! The girls are sinking down into the carpet with just a cm or two and that’s what’s causing the dresses to slightly fold.
It made me wonder if the problem with Tyler James Williams' pants was exacerbated by the fact that maybe he was wearing a heel that was sinking into the floor so much that it changed the shape of what was supposed to be kind of a bootcut unto a folded mess.
This red carpet has been one of the best for the past few years and I appreciate everyone who at least tried. Also, Selena was GLOWING, she looked extra extra beautiful

If you’re going to wear an icy blue suit, it should fit better. It’s a bit rumpled where I want sharp and sleek. Also a gray or ivory shoe would have been amazing.
Soft light tan shoe, ir wouldn’t jump out so much and to me would have matched the more sea/summer suit colour. Would have loved to see a shirt in a slightly deeper, which would have made the rest pop.
Plus I wouldn't call that blue icy. It was more Easter to me. I think Selena's blue was more ice. Hers was reminding me a bit of Cinderella's blue as well.
I may not always agree with your opinion, but love watching your channel. Two of my elders were wardrobe mistresses for a wealthy aviation family. Andrew Scott's shirt, tie, and jacket were just so perfect they just made the rumpled pants look sad in comparison. 😮💨5:37 Nobody is going to make an icy blue boot? But nobody has to make an icy blue boot from scratch! He deserved a matching boot. A white boot could very easily be made into an icy blue boot. There's no excuse.
With this century's pigments, you can turn any leather boot any colour really, especially for one night. If sneakers customizers can do it, there's no excuses for big fashion houses. I made custom colour crystals from unfoiled ones and dyed pearls for a wedding client who needed shoes to match a vintage, inherited dress and plenty costumers and small designers do even more "miraculous" things to make their clients happy. Andrew Garfield had so much more style. I think the vibe prob wasn't right for the event, but I loved the split hem pant. It gave almost 70's bell bottom, and I loved the subtle dark dark green.
I almost wish the split hem was accentuated somehow (topstitched, embroidered, tulip-cut) to make it look more intentional. A plain split hem can look like a failing seam (more so on the side, but still.)
I’ve never commented before. I wanted to say that it’s possible you like Jodi’s dress so much, in spite of being plain and ‘dowdy’, because she exudes confidence and comfort wearing it. She is happy and content. She is wearing something she likes and feels is comfortable. I love that! Many of us are so over the whole being uncomfortable to be fashionable.

Her dress might be simple, but lets not pretend that he hadnt reviwed other basic stuff that gringos from the global north had used before. But as much as i love his work, it is weird that he didn't spare a comment about the woman who won the best main actress in drama. Sorry, but as a brazilian (and latin american) his silence leaves a bad taste in my mouth...
Nice of you❤ She is a awesome brazillian actress, she is funny and super smart and above it all, she is a real latina that represent us whith her acting, but i guess the embarassment that was emilia perez and its "latino" actors are enough representation for today
I read somewhere that because of a movie that Jeremy Strong is in, he didn't want anyone to see his head/hair. If this is true, who knows but anywho, I see you Kendall Roy, and in my eyes, you can do no wrong - you go Ken Roro! Sorry I couldn't help myself 😂
Many of the men definitely evoked the 1960's peacock trend in menswear. Eddie Redmayne & Jeremy Strong's shirts definitely called back the 1960's when nehru collars & turtlenecks were popularized instead of wearing ties. Although I'm personally more partial to a black tux, the materials & colors on the men were interesting.
i used to think manifesting was all about repeating affirmations and hoping for the best. i tried it for months and…nothing. i was so frustrated. then i heard about this book, Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and how it breaks down the science and energy behind manifestation. it’s like it flipped a switch in my brain. once i started applying what i learned, things started falling into place like never before. worth checking out if you’re serious about manifesting.

6:14 the belted but still loose men's suit jacket has precedent in 1890s hunting jackets, but it's missing the vertical straps to go with the horizontal (plus the tweed and pockets, but that would make a much more casual look)
Just discovered you a few months ago and love your vids more and more. It's nice to see someone so knowlegable about fashion give honest, educated and fair summaries for peoples clothes choices. Thank you and keep up the good work. All the best in 2025!
Andrew Scott could have rocked that look with a white tie and white shoes. Would have added to the icy look and make it look more grounded and rounded. Also Andrew Garfield would have benefitted from a little tighter thigh and a bigger slit. Like let the slit reach almost to the knees ( maybe 2-4inch under ).
I think some of the issue with Karla Sofia Gascon’s look is how much is going on at the neckline. I understand there being so much fabric there if she wanted to keep it somewhat modest, but - if I were a tailor or stylist - I would have suggested a symmetrical off the shoulder rather than an asymmetrical one-shoulder, as that could make to to come higher without taking up so much space. That way, she could still have warn a necklace - which I think is a good idea, but I’ve never really liked the “no necklace” way of styling - without it being covered. It also would helped if her hair had been styled as either an up do or a back do (i.e., either a ponytail/bun or something where the hair is kept behind the shoulders).

anya's look with more 1920s style hair and makeup would have really sold me on it. actually i think elle fanning's look from part 1 would've been more interesting with an old hollywood twist on her styling too--all that's just to say, i want more interesting styling choices!
i think as well its very on brand for anya to wear a colour thats not great with pale skin lol, she does this a lot and honestly i don't mind it i think it gives her a sort of ethereal look?
But can we just gently applause those badass greys that Salma rocked? That necklace up was great ❤
I think the issue for some of looks is the pastelyellow flower background!
Adrian Brody always has perfect tailoring
I was hoping to see Fernada Torres
same with Leighton Meester :(
Her dress fit her perfectly. My favorite....@@jasontanghal2936
Adam Brody by far!
My husband wore a similar tuxedo to our wedding in a forest last year. Just a velvet one. He looked so dashing ❤
I like Garfield’s look than Adam Brody’s. The fit is so tight on him the buttons are puckering. I love that green though
I agree with both your best and worst lists, but REALLY agree with the best list! Those were great picks!
Cmon Andrew Garfield was so swaggy I loved it
5:15 100% agree the black kind of breaks it up in a strange way. Top to ankle of that color is honestly beautiful but then its a stark black
Icy Blue = 70’s Prom
Horrible color.
flashbacks to Carrie
Many weddings as well
I personally absolutely loved Andrew Garfield’s lol It’s much more pleasing/relaxing to my eye compared to Adam Brody’s (who also looked good in his!). I think it might be the color for me? Like if the colors were switched I might not like Andrew’s as much or something idk.
God…Adrien Brody always has been and always will be my celebrity hall pass! 😳😲😍😮💨🥵😈
He looks _so fucking good_ …he is aging BETTER than a fine wine! 🍷
i think both andrew garfield and adam brody looked amazing - they just went for totally different vibes imo. andrew is like a chill, cool and laidback, when adam is more formal. i think both work but if i have to choose i think andrew wore it better
Not bringing up Fernanda Torres is wildddd
TELL THEM!!!!
Her dress was OK, but wasn't that interesting. This is a fashion review.
@@jtrain5615 What do you mean? Her dress was a super chic Olivier Theyskens. Serious yet spicy! Did you even see the dress details?
Her dress might be simple, but lets not pretend that he hadnt reviwed other basic stuff that gringos from the global north had used before. But as much as i love his work, it is weird that he didn't spare a comment about the woman who won the best main actress in drama. Sorry, but as a brazilian (and latin american) his silence leaves a bad taste in my mouth...
I don't know who Fernanda Torres is but I support my latino/as. We want Fernanda Torres 👏🏼
She won best actress!
I love that you focus on the clothes and how well the person wears the clothes and you don’t body shame. Well done
LOVE the Valentino suit on Redmayne
Sebastian Stan dressing like my high school uniform with white shirt, black jumper and blazer with obnoxious piping on the side
Buckle up buttercups 😁 I love it. It should become your signature introduction.
Andrew Garfield wore it better!
Tilda’s jacket is SO grandma
You forgot Fernanda Torres ?? I was waiting for part2 and can’t find her 😳😱🇧🇷
@@theoperatripleaxel5417 You're the one who sounds ignorant. You just generalized the whole population because one guy didn't mention a person from your country. that is so bizarre. if an American wasn't mentioned to one of the Brazilian award shows, do you think Americans would think that all Brazilians were unintelligent?
@@erin6945 you sound like someone who isn't American but is pretending to be. The person didn't call anyone unintelligent. They just stated that usually gringos (someone that is not from Brazil) tend to leave out people that are outside their bubble. That said, people are overreacting. Her look was good but not good enough to be a must in a video. She deserves to be in commentaries about the winners. That's her strong point. Not fashion.
Also, Americans wouldn't care about Brazilian awards shows anyways, they live in their own red, white and blue bubble. So their point is valid.
They are just upset.
12:10 this suit looks extra good because the pattern match is so on point, they did a great job
Jodie Foster. ♥ Such a beautiful woman. Cheers to rare gems of normal aging.
Cheers!
Here! Here!
Love the Eddie redmayne risk taking , paid off !😊
1:00 i looove this suit. This would be perfect for a groom at garden wedding. Maybe a lil darker. But i love this.
Monica Barbaro’s Dior dress is gorgeous!
I liked the belted Prada suit and Eddie Redmayne always slays imo
Was waiting for Fernanda Torres 😞
