This is the second time I have had to look for a solution, and you hit the nail on the head. I hate taking apple stuff to the Genius Bar, but only because its so costly for such easy fixes.

Y’all came through with the save man thank you. My phone crashed as soon as I’m getting off work and I was freaking out because I travel between states and I cannot do that without my phone since I have to take a new route.
It didn' t work the first four times, but the volume up, volume down, and hold side button actually worked the 5th time. I suggest to keep trying and it just might work like mine did. Panic is now over:)

I was about to skip school and go to Verizon to fix my phone but than stumbled upon this video! All I had to do was Up volume Down Volume than Power button, than bam!!!
