Camels also have webbed toes on thier feet to prevent thier feet sinking into the sand, three eyelids and nostrils that close tight to keep sand from their nose and eye during a sand storm. Basically every bit of adaptations that helps them traverse sandy dry deserts also makes them excellent swimmers.

Cold showers are better if you are prone to dry skin or certain skin conditions. Doesn't have to be freezing, just room temp or something. It sucks, but my eczema has been really appreciating it.
Was just about to comment this. ALSO! People like me with low blood pressure are also prone to passing out more often. This can be triggered by hot baths and hot showers. I have almost drowned. It ain't fun.
They're also just nice in 90+ degree weather if you're too cheap to run the AC. Well, cool showers, no need for glacial runoff.

Yup, I can speak from experience. I had a snorkel as a kid and I thought I was being clever by taping a bunch of straws to the end.
10 year old me learned a valuable lesson that day.

That’s how my dad learned how to swim my great grandfather took him to a river threw him in water and waited until my dad almost drowned pulled him out for a few minutes until he made progress for a few weeks

I don’t like cold showers but they can boost your metabolism which encourage fat loss from an athlete standpoint. It’s pretty helpful. Yes it does work.
Yeah I was confused when they said it did nothing. lol I do it every once in a while, especially if I woke up late for work. It really gets your heart rate going and wakes you up. lol But I prefer room temp water when I take showers. Better for hair and skin overall compared to warm or hot showers. But athletes do cold plunges for a reason, and it isn't to impress people. lol
Ya'll (yes I'm Southern but city Southern) should totally shout that place out and get them some business. That was so kind and very rare of them. I had a family owned pizza place bring me a lot of food for free just because the owner found out I never ate there before. I'm still loyal to that place several hundred pounds later.

As someone who lives in fl i can tell u fl has various parts. U got the monkey section, They python section, The gator section, The iguana section, and the Florida man section. each of these sections jus have a hard time setring out borders....In other news we got Peacocks 2.

I’m from Nebraska and bacon cheeseburger pizza is really popular out here. It’s literally bacon, hamburger, and diced pickles. It’s definitely an 8/10.

Nah genuinely cold water is better for your skin and helps blood flow, however I absolutely can't be in a constantly cold shower. I'll run that shit up to boiling levels to wash but then towards the end when I'm about to get out, especially in summer since it's so hot, I'll blast it at ice cold for a few seconds

I'm Florida born and raised. Swamps, gators, sharks, cougars, coyotes, skunks, bobcats, random evil parrots that run Daytona Beach, the dramatic weather that allows for it to both be sunny and rainy. Florida does suck. I didn't move away for the hell that is Massachusetts with its bad drivers, and single-digit winters for no reason. At least evil parrots don't attack me nor do gators and herpes monkeys sun the streets.
I moved to Florida and I love it here. I grew up in Michigan, and you can have it! Anywhere that has air so cold it literally hurts to exist in it is no place for me. Give me the Sun, the beach, and the gorgeous weather, and all that stuff you mentioned, and you can keep the cold weather and bad accents.

Hey, it could have been worse. At one point during the early 20th century, there was serious consideration to import a population of *hippos* into Florida and the Mississippi. You heard me right. US Congress held a hearing on a proposal to introduce hippos into the Gulf states for the purpose of ranching them to solve the national meat shortage and to control the growth of certain plants overtaking the local river systems. In a different timeline, Floridians would have to be wary of one of the most territorial and dangerous animals on the planet because people in 1910 were really interested in being able to use bayous to create food.

Taking cold showers is good for your skin. It doesn't do anything but taking cold showers mean you're not taking hot showers, which is bad for your skin.
It also improves circulation, can boost metabilsm, can't boost your mood, decrease inflammation especially if you do physical activity or exercise, and can also lesson overall body pain/aches by dulling the nerves that sends pain signals to the brain. And I have even used cold showers when I wake up late for work, it will wake you up and make you alert like you slammed a couple espressos. lol So I did find it weird they went on that mini rant saying it doesn't do anything. A bit of projecting. lol I don't take them often, but do sometimes, but I prefer room temp showers overall.
