Nature is filled with so many weird and wonderful things: I absolutely love seeing people react to the weirdest and most unique animals for the first time.
I had a Man o’ war sting me in the wrist, crook of my elbow, and armpit. Three days of excruciating pain is pretty accurate, considering how the rest of that three-day camping trip was a bedridden (cotridden?) nightmare. Rule Number 1 of camp/beach kits: PACK MEDICAL RUBBING ALCOHOL.
I never thought I'd see the day that you all would get married , I have been watching you guys for years and I've always loved the relationship you all have and seeing you both so happy and married is absolutely adorable and it brings a smile to my face
If you can't imagine just 3 days of pain you can thank your lucky stars you don't have Fibromyalgia cause the sh*ts life long, there's next to nothing you can do about it to make it better and it only gets worse with age.
I have a Grammy that suffers from this but somehow manages to not feel as bad pain she's on some kind of pain medicine ( not Painkillers she has a heart problem )
Don't get me wrong, the people that suffer from that has my empathy but just because there are worse things, doesn't mean a bad thing is not a bad thing. I wouldn't say 3 days of excruciating pain is JUST this that. Things are bad when they're bad.
When I was younger, I went to the beach with my family, my older brothers, who I'll call Jack and Josh, found a Portuguese man'o war on the beach, Jack picked it up and started playing catch with my brother with it. On one of the throws, Josh got hit in the cheek with it, he cried, obviously, and my other brother jack, got mad at the strange blue balloon, and picked it up in his hand, and squeezed. He screamed, and his hand was throbbing. I don't remember much else about that day, but neither of my brothers swam that day. We didn't go to the hospital, but our mom did clean it and had them sit in the shade. Jack is scared of the beach, and Josh has a permanent scar on his face.
When they showed those 🐢 mating, the first thing to come to my mind was “Scientifically Accurate 🥷 🐢 “. If you have not seen it yet, it is like Meat Canyon, but scientifically accurate, hence the name.
I didn't know hippos were related to whales and dolphins. Kinda makes sense when you start thinking about it. But, thanks to reading the TVTropes and seeing the title covers of "Blackfish", I think I now share Skitten's phobia of orcas...
Honestly I got this particular shirt from a random Facebook store lol. All of my cool shirts come from online! redbubble, teeturtle, stores like that. I'm trying to find some more black-owned apparel stores though!
Great video! If you haven't seen it yet, Hood Nature has a video called "What Prehistoric Animal Would Have Lived In Your State!!" that I think you'd enjoy reacting to.
There are other similar species of cheeta gators that were larger. Kaprosuchus which could be as large as 10 feet long Quinkana could be 18 feet long Barinasuchus could grow to 30 feet long
South Africans know the true horror of blue bottles 😂.we pour vinegar on the stings. The stings hurt and itch like hell, plus when you pour vinegar on it the pain is even worse.

@@budmeister they are not often deadly to humans, but are very very painful. Felt like hundreds of bee stings wrapped in hot oil burns.... weirdly enough, meat tenderizer made into a paste takes out a significant amount of the pain.
@@WarPoodle-pc5wu I've been stung by a jellyfish before in the Persian Gulf with one tentacle and it felt like a bee sting but the pain went away immediately when they poured vinegar on it.
Grew up around beaches a lot here in Brazil. Stepped on a fishing hook once. Stepped on some boiling plastic that was running out of a bonfire some dick had thrown soda bottles at, that thing solidified about half a cm _into_ my skin. Stepped on a Man o' War once. I don't even remember how the hook and the plastic felt like. All I know is that I would rather live with a heated up fishing hook permanently stuck inside my foot than experience the fuckfest that is Man o' War aftermath again
Someone can correct me if i’m wrong but Nemo was a clown fish, and I believe clown fish are immune to jellyfish venom. They live in venomous anemones because they’re immune and it protects them from predators. Those colorful tube/leaf things they sleep in, in the film.
Fun fact the plant you were talking about was the Gympie Gympie is nicknamed “the suicide plant”. Also there’s a plant that causes third degree burns called the giant hogweed
Octopuses, squids and cuttlefish, collectively known as cephalopods, have evolved tangental to mammals, meaning we do not share an ancestor with them, but they have developed mammalian traits anyway. For example, cephalopods have a circulatory system, just like mammals. No other mollusk and very few other non-mammalian creatures have blood actually pumping in veins. But since they developed it separately from mammals, they don't pump regular, red blood. Our blood is red because of hemoglobin, the iron-based substance that carries oxygen from our lungs to our brains. Mollusks developed hemocyanin, which is copper-based and blue, and cephalopods developed hearts to pump that blue blood where it needs to go. But if you thought they were getting a bit too similar to mammals, their tentacles aren't arms or legs. They don't have arms or legs. The tentacles are their faces, sort of like 8-10 elongated noses with suction pods and muscles, stretching out from their heads in a symmetrical pattern that doesn't match most other animals. Most animals, including most mollusks, have a center-aligned symmetry. You can draw a line down the middle and the left and right sides of that line are symmetrical. Cephalopods said "screw that" and decided radial symmetry was more their game.
Oof I live in South Africa and I went to the beach to see many blue bottles. I'm use to it since I've seen them Alot but it's best if you kill them when some are in the sand
