      I finally committed to WFPB in late February 2021 and have effortlessly lost over 45 lbs! In 5 months!
      And I now LOVE what I'm eating instead of counting the days till I can be "off the diet".

    WOW! My daughter was RAVING about you, but I continued to search the web for other ways to lose weight, Based on the fact that the Keto diet was, to me, extreme, I decided to load up on all kinds of starch-free veggies to see how that would help, instead of the Keto.
    When I tried these veggies, my weight just started dropping like a rock! Then I happen to see this presentation, and it made GREAT SENSE! I KNEW you were right-on, from my experience! THEN, I looked up to the top of the monitor screen, to see who made such great sense, and was BLOWN AWAY! ..It was YOU, A. • @TRUCKESCRT
      @TRUCKESCRT 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@biancapereat9075 I would say probably not as it isn't a whole grain but has been processed, which is what makes food lose nutritional values and increases calories. Red, black, wild and brown rice are whole grains which are unprocessed, they don't raise your blood sugar quickly like white rice does. (not an expert but what I've started buying bc I'm from Louisiana and rice is a MUST HAVE for me on any eating plan, lol)
      As a food, white rice is probably better for you than a cheeseburger per se, and is actually relatively low in calories but I'd head for the natural, unprocessed varieties whenever possible.
      From what I can see, her plan is basically Noom in a book, or likely Noom captured the essence of her plan in an app, however, she says NOTHING about meats so I assume she is strictly vegan, I wish she would have bothered to explain where on her chart various meats actually fall for those who aren't quite ready to give up meats entirely. On Noom, meats fall into the "red zone" which is basically you can have it but limit it.

    I love avocados and I always bought the organic ones. What I discovered was that the demand for avocados from Mexico are impacting on the monarch butterfly habit if you buy the non-organic ones. So on the whole, I no longer buy avocados regardless of what kind they are or where they are from. I live in Canada and all I ever find are the Mexican ones. It's not a sacrifice if done for the right reason (for me). We plant based eaters think that we do not impact on Mother Nature but there are times when we do.

    I tired the mcdougal diet for 8 weeks, I only lost about 3lbs. I'm type 2 possibly type 1.5 diabetic. I didn't each much fruit or too many vegetables either. 2 servings oatmeal in the morning, rest of the day would be buckwheat, corn, lentils, peas, brown rice, whole wheat bread sometimes, whole wheat pasta sometimes, potatoes, sweet potato. My blood sugars did come down some. I even had dangerously low blood as sugar and hour after I took my usual 22 units of lantis. Another thing I've developed is a hunger pain in the back of my throat that basically won't go away even after my meal. My caloric intake is about 2200 a day on mostly starches. Is there anything that you can suggest to help me? I'm now trying sushi and eggs sometimes to see if the hunger pain will go away, thank you, love the videos and energy!

      You're eating an ENERGY dense low fat diet and it would work better for weight loss to eat a NUTRIENT dense low fat diet--lots more salad and veggies. And if you can, eat the veggies and a glass of water BEFORE getting to the energy-dense oatmeal/bread/whole wheat pasta/potatoes. Making sure there are lots of legumes in there helps too--due to the "second-meal effect." Take care

      Try nutritionfacts.org. The studies reported there are listed below the vids are posted for all to see. You or anyone can see that the science is clean and strong. Use their search box that's in the stack at the top of the page. There are about 2000 commercial-free vids. Dr. Greger draws no wage and his book sales go for charity. His grandma was in the Dean Ornish study, terminally ill, and got rid of heart disease to live 30 more years. He saw this at 8 years old and wanted to make people well, so he became a doctor, but that industry horrified him. Ornish's work was buried and he decided to see what other actual science also got buried. Hence his site, his team and his passion.
