Out of all the TH-cam videos I used this one the most (other than cooking) but I just called west side power-sports and they are truly helpful on the dess key reprogramming. Today is 7/20/23 I’ll be sending mine tomorrow.
yes i have 96gtx and the wiring you say is color coded i think mine may be hooked up wrong someone has been in the box and they are color coded but there are a few wires that are the same color. i had to replace the ignition trigger now i have no spark and get one long beep when i put key on. could you please help to makesure my wiring is correct. thanks
No unless it’s bad you do not Need to replace it the post just make the contact it’s the computer that reads the code you you can get the key program with the jetski or remove the computer and send it it with new key
Could you tell me the mpem part number on your 97 gtx please bud? I've found 3 different numbers 278-001-133, 278-001200 and 278-001-242! Mines got that last one but doesn't spark, and the manual states the first one, but seadoosource lists all 3 🤣
Y'all are getting ripped off. I just bought 2 new keys from the dealer for $62.00 and they programmed them for free, it only took like 3 minutes to do.
Troy Seagondollar Check and clean the land yard if the lanyard is not inserted straight in it will have a bad connection also Check your fuse make sure theirs no corrosion or a bad fuse a bad connection can cause also.
Two short beeps MPEM can not read the digital code of the safety lanyard cap or the magnet is defective. Two long beeps Wrong safety lanyard or bad connection of the DESS wires.
Well I save well over 120 doing it my self the dealer wanted 60 dollars per ski upto 4 keys per ski that's 120 plus the key they want 50 each that's 100 you do the math I pay 80 and shipping to and from and 40 for 2 new keys for 2 computer you do the math and took me about 3 houses to remove and install 2 computers so win win for me this doesn't work for everyone
Your shot!!! Yeah that's it rip your computer out and shop it off pay for all that. Instead of having dealer make you a key for 80$ .... your smoked out

When you buy a new key . Do you have to get a new post ? The post where you insert the key

I get 2 beeps and then 4 beeps. Does that mean the key is wrong?

Yes any two stroke Seadoo dess key would be the same

Well there a few places Local shops eBay or even used oem or the place were i got the keys program they sale them also
