A little tip on pulling your thread to the back. Turn your project back as you normally do. While holding the back thread lift the back thread straight up then make a circular motion a few times and you will start to see the back loop loosen up. Keep doing the circular motion always making sure that you are tugging the back thread. As the back loop loosens it will make it easier to pull the thread to the back.

Question, what do you use to make your zipper overlay?
I use several different materials, but usually they are raw edged so vinyl and cork work best.
