Interview #27 with Deborah

I spoke with Deborah, a 19-year-old singer/songwriter based in Texas. She likes to use her music to let people know they're not alone. She shares her own struggles with anxiety as well as insomnia and depression, and how she has learned to cope and heal. We discuss the complexities of speaking to others about your mental health and how the fear of judgement can be a large source of social anxiety. Deborah shares how turning to her faith has played a role in her recovery and how tools such as breathing and mindset shifts have helped ease her anxiety.
