Here from the future to point out the irony at 30:01 that Bonny said "they push each other to new heights" about her relationship with Joe when she is now dating Travis who's podcast is titled New Heights.
I would say that Justin is probably wearing a face covering because there was a film crew there (even if it is a small one) and wants to protect them and himself because he probably wasn’t able to quarantine for 2 weeks prior like Taylor, Jack and Aaron because if he had been he probably would have just been at the long pond studio. But that is just my best educated guess.
That's my guess too. He was indoors, and this was pre-vaccine, so he probably just thought it would be safer for all there to just wear a face covering.
I also think it has to do with the sound! He's not using a muffler so I'm assuming the scarf acts as a muffle for his voice, making it clearer and a bit deeper!

As someone who did excel in school with all straight A’s, I appreciate this is me trying so much. Emily is right about the smartest kids in school ending up being the most messed up. I’m a prime example of that, going from start student to struggling with both mental health and addiction. Took a long time to get back where I feel good about my life again.

I really liked the conversation about this is me trying, I personally have always been among the kids that were top of the class all the way from middle school to high school, and now, even though I'm still studying at university, I see how that has permanently affected my mentality and how I approach situations. Even though my parents never pressured me to do well, that was something I viewed as compulsory, I HAD to do well in school, and get good grades, and have approval from teachers. And now if I hit even the slightest setback I feel like a failure, because for a long time that was my defining feature, studying and getting results was what I was actually good at, I almost made it part of my personality. And you really feel lost, almost without purpose when you realize the world doesn't revolve around that, and that mentality that I have learned to have after so many year in that system doesn't really apply in most situations. Taylor captures that feeling beautifully, the feeling of lost potential, of something promising becoming wasted, and rusting. It's amazing how she can express this experience in song

You both do an INCREDIBLE job at breaking down the songs for us and overtime I’ve loved learning in snippets how 1989 means so much to Em and Reputation means so much to Bonny. The first time I heard I heard the song Exile on the radio I couldn't recognize the singers, but I instantly loved the music and singing and I instantly connected with the lyrics because they hit way too close to home. I particularly remember the first time I listened to this version of the lakes I was rollerblading in 65 degree weather (which isn’t very cold for some people in November/December, but I live in Florida so that’s that) at a park early in the morning and I vividly remember the feeling I instantly got just listening to this while skating on this really long sidewalk/walkway and the only thing near me was just trees and nature and everything was so still and I was just like wow and it’s just a memory that is engraved into my mind and I love the song so much more because of it and will definitely never forget that. So illegal. Can’t even process it after almost 2 years. (Also can I just say these versions will always be superior to the original album)

As someone who did excel in school with all straight A’s, I appreciate this is me trying so much. Emily is right about the smartest kids in school ending up being the most messed up. I’m a prime example of that, going from start student to struggling with both mental health and addiction. Took a long time to get back where I feel good about my life again.

I really liked the conversation about this is me trying, I personally have always been among the kids that were top of the class all the way from middle school to high school, and now, even though I'm still studying at university, I see how that has permanently affected my mentality and how I approach situations. Even though my parents never pressured me to do well, that was something I viewed as compulsory, I HAD to do well in school, and get good grades, and have approval from teachers. And now if I hit even the slightest setback I feel like a failure, because for a long time that was my defining feature, studying and getting results was what I was actually good at, I almost made it part of my personality. And you really feel lost, almost without purpose when you realize the world doesn't revolve around that, and that mentality that I have learned to have after so many year in that system doesn't really apply in most situations. Taylor captures that feeling beautifully, the feeling of lost potential, of something promising becoming wasted, and rusting. It's amazing how she can express this experience in song

I’m sure I’m not alone in saying I would LOVE to see a video where you pick certain songs of Taylor’s that you love/resonate with/where you were when you heard a specific song for the first time/what 1989/reputation means to you. It would be a super personal video but we adore you guys and how you show so much passion for the things you love - Taylor, Coffee and Croissants (along with a superior vocabulary), and we need more of that in a video as mentioned above.

I just had a thought that at the end when she adds “look at all my tears, turning into your tears” does she mean all her hard work and tears (sad times) that went into writing those albums they are all his now and how awful that must feel. The first time I heard I heard the song Exile on the radio I couldn't recognize the singers, but I instantly loved the music and singing and I instantly connected with the lyrics because they hit way too close to home. When she first sang the echoed response line "I gave so many signs", I thought..."that's like the synopsis of my entire history of relationships"! 😆🙄

I particularly remember the first time I listened to this version of the lakes I was rollerblading in 65 degree weather (which isn’t very cold for some people in November/December, but I live in Florida so that’s that) at a park early in the morning and I vividly remember the feeling I instantly got just listening to this while skating on this really long sidewalk/walkway and the only thing near me was just trees and nature and everything was so still and I was just like wow and it’s just a memory that is engraved into my mind and I love the song so much more because of it and will definitely never forget that. So illegal. Can’t even process it after almost 2 years. (Also can I just say these versions will always be superior to the original album)
