make-up made me think I was more confident.
after some time, i developed more insecurities, spotlight syndrome, and a delusional perception of myself and what people thought of me. sometimes we think make-up makes us more confident because that's what we're told - that's what the cosmetic commercials tell us, what films and shows tell us, what influencers tell us.
but i reached a point where i noticed the destruction of what true confidence is. where does that come from? does it come from an eyeshadow palette? does it come from a bottle of foundation? objectively, confidence doesn't come from either of those things. it's all in the mind. just as there are plenty of people who are confident without make-up, it is proof that we genuinely do not need make-up - especially if using make-up negatively affects you financially and psychologically.
what role do cosmetics play in your life? do you find yourself putting layers on layers to "hide" something? do you spend hours of your day doing something you don't necessarily want to do but feel like you "have" to do it? or do you feel like you've genuinely reached a healthy relationship with cosmetics?

First and foremost, let me say your channel definitely needs more recognition. It’s absolutely amazing. I am a new subscriber here and I found you through the comment section of one of Nate’s videos. I am also a niche less smaller Creator on this TH-cam planet. I look forward to more videos thanks for sharing.

Also showing up to work without makeup on is not unprofessional.

i fully agree. i feel like good hygiene can do a lot more than putting make-up on.

Makeup for everyday use does not make sense. Never forget or runaway from how you actually look.

thanks for sharing that. i think make-up for every day creates a bit of delusion with our self-image - which is what i experienced.
while i believe that people *can* feel a boost of confidence with make-up, i think it's really important to feel just as confident - if not more - when we're in our natural state

How did you clear your acne?

i cut out eggs and dairy from my diet - literally changed in a matter of days! But it took me a while to figure it out cuz i’ve never been allergic to food and consumed dairy and eggs my whole life

I just saw your video from 2 years ago. You looked much better back then. Its probably due to the raw vegan diet.

Hey! Thanks for taking the time to make note of that. Although in your opinion I "looked" better back then, I fought a lot of mental battles, I was underweight and unhealthy, I was regularly fatigued and taking naps almost every day.
Now I'm the healthiest I've ever been, I rarely take naps. It brings me so much joy and gratitude to say that I wake up feeling happy pretty much every day (a thought I once thought was impossible). This is a fraction of all the things that have positively changed for me.
So although you perceive my appearance to be "better" prior to changing my lifestyle, my day-to-day life, my body, and my mental health have changed in the best way 💖
