    Israel has 14 air tankers. It would need to refuel in air over countries that have said they will not give overflight permission or the Persian Gulf after overflying those countries without permission. Those tankers would need to be protected by fighters.
    Israel could pull off a powerful strike, but it doesn't have the capacity to sustain the air campaign. Israel might be able to avoid in air refueling if it launches cruise missiles from it's aircraft. It is not Iraq in 1981, Israel's strike will be detected and Iran will not be caught by surprise.

Is he still out wandering aimlessly in the desert with Cheny or have they retired to the beach and palm trees ? How did 9-11 happen and why ? It didn't happen without reasons but yet its hard to dig deep enough to know why it took so long for two terrorists to get their pilots training in the United States or did they have to wait to hijack those jets made in the United States ? Does anyone think a similar attack might take place in Israel after all they did breach the border once but then there were no shortage of tunnels under Israel. I wonder how long it would have taken to fill those tunnels up with enough bombs to fill Israel ?

    The Israelis do not have the strength and logistical capability to launch a comprehensive attack on Iran without the help of the Americans. The Israelis only have one hundred and fifty strike aircraft in their inventory. In practice, they would only have a hundred or so aircraft available at any one time because at least thirty percent of their strike aircraft would be down for maintenance. Iran is also hundreds of miles away from Israeli airfields, which would complicate any Israeli air campaign. To support sustained air attacks on Iranian targets would take a lot of tanker support, which would further limit the number of aircraft that would be available to strike Iranian targets. If the Americans joined in, however, it would be a different story. Only the Americans possess the necessary strength to knock the Iranians flat. But then what? The Iranians possess enough ballistic missiles to cause tremendous damage to Israel. The Israelis do not have enough air defence missiles to knock out all the incoming Iranian missiles. Their air defences would be overwhelmed if the Iranians launched an all-out attack employing thousands of ballistic and hypersonic missiles. If the Iranians destroyed the Dimona nuclear plant Israel would contaminated with radioactive debris. Even if the Iranians refrained from attacking Israeli nuclear facilities and concentrated on attacking the harbour and energy infrastructure in and around Tel Aviv and Haifa, the damage to Israel’s economy would be catastrophic. In short, Israel is not invincible. So far it has been waging war on easy mode. It is one thing bombing defenceless civilians who cannot fight back. But taking on the Iranians and their Russian and Chinese supporters will be a different kettle of fish.

    • @zacheryhalbert
      @zacheryhalbert หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      An F16 has a range well over 2,000 miles. That’s plenty to make it to Iran and back with no tanker support. The trick is can Iran stop Israeli strikes in the first place. My money is on no not particularly well. Iran’s proxy’s are already taking a beating and will be of little help. Iran can shoot a shit ton of missiles at israel but they also can do the same right back. The wild card is if the US helps. If the US supports Israel and actively attacks Iran it’s not going to go well for Iran. Russia will be of zero help they can barely handle Ukraine and China also has its hands full with its own people, pretty much all of its pacific neighbors, and India. I doubt an Iran conflict is high on chinas priority list. Especially if it keeps America’s attention off them.

    • @asaadddfa
      @asaadddfa หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      no, nuclear material does not contaminate an area unless it undergoes a chain reaction, which would only happen in a runaway reaction not a strike which shuts it down. Yes iran could overwhelm israeli air defense but they have bunkers, multiple layers to protect cities, and the iranians have no stealth/early warning capability. Israel, however, does, and can take out all the major launch sites, critical infrastructure (even though they wont, because they respect civilian casualties more than any other army in history, opinions notwithstanding) all exposed bases. Iran will instantly be reduced to only its remote mountain fortresses and free-ranging (easily targeted) mobile launchers. There's a difference between an army based on backwards religion and terrorism, and one based on technological progress, and thats why you are seeing russia stalemated by a country 1/10 its size

      @zacheryhalbert F16s with extended fuel tanks aren't stealth, nor can they land vertically without using a friendly air field, which can only happen in either Azerbaijan or the Gulf states, neither of which are remotely guaranteed. Israel itself buys oil from Azerbaijan and Baku doesn't want to lose their oil and gas infrastructure in the Caspian to Iran's counter strike. If you think russia's hands are full, just take a look at all the money and weapons this country's sending Israel and Ukraine. Except for the neocons and some neo libs who are so blinded by Israel's lobby, the rest of the US military would rather avoid an all out war with Iran for many reasons, gas prices and their significant impact on the domestic and global economies being one to possibility of terrorist attacks inside the US should Iran find their backs against the wall, not to mention how vulnerable all thr major US bases in the Gulf are to Iran's short range missiles. Israel's gamble can and will end in the total annihilation of Israel as well as iran once Iran blows up Diomna after Israel shoots nukes back at Iran following Iran's attacks on Israeli infrastructure after this strike should it seriously hurt Iran. This has no good ending but somehow Israel thinks the US will either fight this war for her or she will "cut off the head of thr snake", not realizing that the head will grow right back!

Equally IAF two raids over Houthi Yemen met with no opposition.. I suspect the S400 which strangely has not been deployed in the region being no better. You keep saying they could be convinced to pursue nukes if Israel hit their nuke sites, which is another absurdly strange statement considering they are already using those nuke sites to try to develop nuclear weaponry. That's why Israel would want to hit them to begin with. It's like framing things such that the blame is always on Israel for striking Iran, despite the fact that Iran is already developing nukes, and has many times threatened Israel that that's on the Iranian agenda. And that's aside from the multiple-front proxy war that Iran has already been waging against Israel.
