Great review, went with the flir breach to over lay onto the pvs14

Thanks for helping me get the best bang for the buck. Your comparison is a good common sense regular user comparison.

I have about a year in the ML19 and like it; my only complaint is the screen size that could be a little larger. I have my paired with the eye piece upgrade, MINI Series Dovetail Shoe, MINI Series Monocular Battery Extender to run a 16650 battery and USB Type C Anti Dust Plug.

Great video, thank you for making it. Thumbs up. Quick question;, I'm looking for an optics setup for nighttime patrols and mostly static guard station for long term use that not only can connect to a helmet, but the thermal can also be used as a rifle optic or in conjunction with a red dot.
There are just so many models coming out, it's hard to know what will last a decade and get the job done in thermals and process fast enough to use as a sight on a rifle.

Thanks for the easy to follow no BS review.
Is there a thermal that offers the adjustability to collimate images as the FLIR Breach but with netter resolution and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg?

It’s refreshing to see someone review thermal monoculars who is educated. You actually know what you are talking about in terms of the screen margin adjustments, and you obviously aren’t a shill for either company because you’ve pointed out factual flaws of each device. You’ve set a standard here in your review process that should be followed by others on TH-cam. So many trash reviews by people pretending they use this stuff, but instead are just dealers who don’t know how to use the devices (cough cough, Arkayne Co)

So...can't the "right" mounting bridge correct for the 'ghosting'?

Great comparision! I was going to get the RH25 to try out helmet mounted thermal fusion but the ML19 looks like a good alternative to save me a few bucks. Image quality is more important to me but Im not really sure if the 640x resolution is worth it over a 320x resolution thermal.

Unless you are going to do a lot of zooming in to a higher magnification, I’m not sure that it is either

If you had access it'd be cool to see the newer sting ir 384 that agm is putting out

We actually have the 640 core Version of the AGM on order. We will be putting out a comparison of the two. They are about the same price.

@Code 4 Defense nice. Looking forward to seeing it.

640 core is a noticeable improvement but IMO, at twice the price as a 3** core really only gonna be "worth it" for seeing finer details/smaller objects. For example I have a Breach and I cannot PID small animals from large rocks. With my 640 core I can almost count the whiskers on a fox out at 25 yards (closet fence to pasture off back deck) and I can PID my dogs vs coyotes vs my other small animals like my pigs - EXTREMELY important for me as my 640 core thermal is on a rifle for a reason. The Breach is a useful tool but to be honest I wish i'd have gotten the RL25 for a few hundred more. FYI Iray is supposed to be releasing a version 2 of the MH25 sometime soon...

Lots of good info in this video. It would be great if you can describe what you see when you're looking through the PVS14 and the thermal at the same time. Liked+sub'd hoping for more great videos.

You have to adjust eyes to get the picture center using a PVS-14, also when doing this run it in fusion color mode.

Can the flir breach be weapon mounted

    • @568843daw

You would need to contact FLIR. Here’s why… the recoil of a rifle or handgun is quit energetic, meaning violent. Even a .22LR or .22 short will likely dislodge internal mechanisms, solder points, wire insertions, lenses etc. After all, cartridges are tiny explosives. Ask the Flir first because unless it has been designed for also being mounted on a firearm, and you do it anyway, and it breaks, you have voided the warranty. If fLIR says it can be mounted on alternate sources, make sure that communication is in writing. Ask me how I know this shit? 😂🤣😅
