- If you’re oil cooler is leaking and you don’t wanna spend $1000-$1500 to pay a shop to do it, well I hope this helps. You can do it yourself for under $200. I had anticipated roughly a 3 to 4 hour job ended up taking 5 but nothing too crazy. Everything went smoothly as you can see The one I bought the sensors did not work. I will drop the link just make sure if you get this one you know that you will have to reuse your existing sensor for the oil pressure. Hope this helps y’all. Thanks for watching.

I wonder what it would cost for a shop to do? I dont have the time .. I figured as long as i keep an eye on oil level I should be ok for awhile
I have talked to a few guys locally around Charlotte, North Carolina. It is anywhere from 800 to 1400 total labor and parts. I’ll be honest I just watched where I parked and when it started leaving a drop or two of oil. I knew it was time to replace.
Leaks don’t get better they get worse until they get to the point. It’s a catastrophic failure. it’s not hard to do just allocate about four hours to knock it off. Make sure you watch videos first and get your mind trained to do it. it’s very important to the oil cooler to proper torque specs gradually a crisscross type pattern to make sure that it’s torque evenly the cooler. Also spend 50 bucks at the dealership to get the oil sensor. I wouldn’t trust that Chinese stuff. Give them your Vin number of your vehicle so they know exactly what sensors you need it. It’s either one or two.
