Rubicon with max tow

I have talked to a few guys locally around Charlotte, North Carolina. It is anywhere from 800 to 1400 total labor and parts. I’ll be honest I just watched where I parked and when it started leaving a drop or two of oil. I knew it was time to replace.

Yes it would of totally did it. There’s a few spots that you might have to hit it with a little bit of momentum if you don’t have a rear locker. But otherwise you should be completely fine. Just take your time and enjoy the outdoors. Maybe we can meet up I’m definitely going back and taking one of my buddies, he has an FJ. Also, if one spot was to give you a hard time, there are plenty of trees to winch from.

They are holding the liner to a plastic piece that gives the outer fender it’s rigidity at the bottom. Not rivets.

At the time of filming we had 4:10 gears and 33”. But before we traded the camper I got 35’s. Currently now we have 35s with 4:10 gears. The camper we have now should be around 7,000lbs loaded. It pulls that one in my opinion great. The kids and wife started saying the Jeep didn’t have much room for our growing family so we bought an expedition max to pull the camper now. I would say you could try with the 37s, but if you didn’t like that, I would only drop to 35s that should do great for you’re set up. I have been running 35s with 4:10 gears for a while now I think it is the perfect set up for the jeep unless you were going to change out gears and upgrade a lot of other parts as well. We do a decent amount of wheeling, I also like to baja it a good bit whether it’s rough gravel roads, or just out in a field and everything seems to hold up well with the 35s.

@@GFCAMPING I can get a good price on some 285/70/17 and I'd swap right back to the 37's when I got back home. The shop up the road will do it for $20. I still got my stock steelies in the garage so was going to put the 285's on them. It pulled the 4086lb one we bought nicely on the 37's, I averaged 11 mpgs, about what you would expect. I saw a few videos of a few towing 6,000 and saying they wouldn't do it, but I feel like if it's rated for 7650lbs then I should be able to tow 6500

I sad try pulling with 37s and then if not happy put a set of 285s on the steel wheels. Make sure you have a weight distribution hitch and it is setup correctly the jeep and camper should set level when hooked up. Do you have a lift, because that plays a big factor too. Also make sure and test your brake control.

Not actually sure, sold it a couple years ago to get just a flat top. But the Blackstone adventure 22” is doing amazing.

A lot of people had talked about either removing the whole fender or the entire fuse box to get to the auxiliary battery. I just wanted to show a different way that you could access the battery, by just unbolting part of the inner fender because mine is the stock plastic one you just bend it out-of-the-way, and you have access to the auxiliary battery

96,000 miles still doing great. We have done all the required service maintenance. About 2 years ago we traded the camper in for a shorter and lighter, the new camper weighs 5,800 dry and around 7,000 loaded. Two months ago I bought the wife a ford expedition max to tow with. With the addition of the third kid jeep was a little small for everyone on travel days lol.

We have been using a P2 prodigy brake controller amzn.to/44LdapK And absolutely love it.

False. Rubicons are rated to 7,000 with the tow pkg. Max Tow is not available on the Rubicons however as the Rubis weigh more. Look in the gladiator owners manual for actual specs. He is overweight, though. A crash and insurance will nope out faster than you can blink.

Wrong. Rubicon is rated for 7,000. Please read the owner's manual for towing rating charts

Very wrong. I’m not sure who started the rumor that it’s 4k lbs but but it’s 7,650lbs on most gladiators. I have a Sport S with the max tow package and it’s rated for 8600lbs.

If you don't mind me picking your brain, what would you use? Bought my gladiator used with the warranty all gone and just found this leak after rain. I'm looking at urethane mostly but still researching the process for this application.
