    IMHO still makes a lot of noise..so "solved" is only partially. Have you tried installing small noctua fans ? Works great in my synology rackmount nas

    hello I have an HP 2510G=24 SWITCH J9279A and I want to remove the fun but it appears that if I remove the funs or put a different one it will give an error. Is there a way to flash the switch but it looks like the only funs that accepts are the one installed. Thank you in advance.

      Sorry I haven't try it. You need to replace the fan or fix it.

      @@hrz_nrd4511 The noisy fan can be fixed, just use a gear oil to lubricate the fan. Put 3 to 4 drops of gear oil to the fan and leave it for 3 to 4 hours before using it.

    Hi i have the same switch and only fans 4-5-6 are spinning on boot and then the fan led is flashing orange. Is this normal (only 3 fans spinning) or should all 6 spin on boot?

    • @macor285
      @macor285  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All should spin.

      Fan LED flashes because all should spin on boot. I have tried manually disconnecting a few fans to reduce noise and which gave me the fan error also

      @@tyronjerez3468 i replaced the fans that weren't spinning and the switch is booting again. I found it strange that 3 fans were faulty at the same time.
