    WOW! That really is quick & easy! I have made quite a few of your 5 minute bags, so I’ll have to give this one a try! Maybe I’ll even dust off the serger in my closet to sew it!!

    I just looked at your easiest lined bag with French seams and I loved it. I thought I had some 7 or 9 inch zips but all I had were zippers that were 22 inches. This video popped up and now I don't have to go to the store I can use what I have and still make an easy lined bag!!! Thank you so much!! Variations of the same project are always so helpful 😃

    I love using this method to make bags. Even things I use bosal or some other firm type interfacing in. It's a clean finish on the inside, and SOOO much less fidgety that the other method! Great tutorial as always, Whitney!

    Can you explain to me what the width is on your bag..i sew on my overlocker but the stitches are over the side of the material. Not holding the material together probably. Thank you love your videos

    • @Whitney_Sews
      @Whitney_Sews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm using 4 thread on my serger, so it sews a straight stitch and the wrapped around parts. If you are doing it with less threads you can sew it with a straight stitch on your regular machine, then just serge the sides to take care of the raw edges.

      Thanks Whitney I am using a 4 cotton reel. Serger… now how do I finish it… do I have to tie it off… I love your videos.. I am new to sewing and you make it so easy… I am now looking at your zipper pouch…it looks easy.. thank you for sharing your creations

    I have #5 plastic molded jacket zippers to use up. I should be able to cut them, right?

    • @Whitney_Sews
      @Whitney_Sews  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should be able to. Might use some cheaper scissors just in case so you don't risk damaging nicer ones.

    What do you mean when you say longer for the second set?

    • @Whitney_Sews
      @Whitney_Sews  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The back piece that wraps around the top needs to be longer than the front piece.

    • @lindascraftsandthings915
      @lindascraftsandthings915 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Whitney_Sews I know this video is older, but have you ever tried to use both pieces in the same size instead of using one piece that is two inches longer? So, would using two pieces of fabric for the outside and two pieces of fabric for the lining with the same size dimensions (example 10 inch squares) work or would it look funny? Thanks.

  • @lindabridges445

    Hi, is your serger set up for 3 or 4 thread?

    • @Whitney_Sews
      @Whitney_Sews  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      4, but either will work since it is just being used to overlook the edges
