Oh my goodness, everyone complaining about the forehead mics....This is the standard practice for mic placement in theater. You usually just can't see it so clearly watching in the audience. Even for opera, you need mics, especially in an open air theater. They really don't detract from how amazing this performance is. Just enjoy the show and stop pointing out something that is actually necessary and where it's supposed to be.

@@normanzurich2781 It depends on the size of the arena. If it's smaller, sure, you wouldn't need a mic. But for giant venues like this, you need a mic.

If I had a time machine, I would go back 15 years ago and book a ticket for this Opera. Normally with the condition that I have this passion, love and knowledge for arts that I have right now. This is one of the most heavenly pieces of art I've ever seen. I'm in shock and in pain that probably I will never get to experience this stage and performance in real life.

А после уничтожения Мариуполя, разрушения десятков городов, сёл под ноль фашистской РФ будут способствовать возрождению дружбы на десятилетия спустя завершения войны.

No subtitles in between for about 45 minutes, cannot understand their singing 😢 but it is an excellent performance
if you choose the italian subtitles and then hit "auto-translate" for english you can have english subtitles all the way through! but the translation is automatic so it gets a little awkward sometimes, still much better than nothing at all
Beautiful. I kept hearing the birds sing along, which somehow added to the performance. A shame they weren't credited. Unless they're part of the choir of course.

My only complaint is at the level of the TH-cam post: the subtitles didn't work for Act II.
you can get english subtitles for the whole thing if you first select the italian subtitles and then select 'auto-translate' and 'english' :) it worked for me anyway

In Italia, appunto la patria del bel canto, si dice "Bravo" per il solista uomo, "Brava" per la solista donna, "Bravi" è plurale, cioè per l'insieme
Questo riferimento è un po' affettato, non credete? Il pubblico italiano, in particolare, è uno dei più fastidiosi che si possano avere in giro. Non ascolta, chiacchiera con il vicino e poi si arrabbia quando un cantante non italiano non pronuncia perfettamente l'italiano.
In Russia, per esempio, " bravo" si riferisce come al uomo che donna e anche plurale. Sempre " bravO"
Был рад и даже удивлён найти среди серого авагардизма последнего десятилетия столь бережную и талантливо постановку. Прекрасные голоса Виолетты и Алфреда и традиционная интерпретация либретто в духе Дзеффирелли делают спектакль незабываемым. Глоток свежего воздуха среди политического идиотизма сегодняшних дней. Но видимо я поспешил , зачем то появились мужики в виде циганок и прочих, нетрадиционные добрались и до Верди.

Las actuaciones pudieron ser mejores, parecen estudiantes.
La puesta en escena es maravillosa, no así las voces.
Voces mucho veces años a alemania y Europa muy muy mal…mi familia conosco Este mal function.

Танец цыганок должен был быть одной из самых красивых сцен, это ж надо было так её испортить... Слишком быстрый темп и слабенькие костюмы, или они такими выглядели на мужиках.

E' strano. Everything is conducted with a martial-like demeanor, so untipical of Verdi; there's no give-and-take. The recording is too even and lacking in ambient sounds. And there is an inexplicable slight echo at times, which makes no sense given the physical setting. And not a single shot of the orchestra -- not even for one bow? E' strano ...
Esa soprano si no puede con el agudo que se dedica a cantar canciones napolitanas y ni haga ridiculos,
L'ORCHESTRA NON SI SENTE
Il soprano non canta male, ma è fuori repertorio: voce troppo da soprano leggero per un ruolo come Violetta. Più adatta a Mozart, Donizetti ecc....per Verdi al massimo Gilda o Oscar. Per il tenore questo vale ancora di più, veramente una voce esageratamente "leggera" per Alfredo . Entrambi risultano perciò poco incisivi soprattutto nei momenti più intensi e drammatici dove è necessario uno spessore maggiore e un accento diverso. La messa in scena non male salvo, per me, due cose : non mi sono piaciuti Violetta e Alfredo, nella seconda scena del secondo atto, vestiti da Carmen ed Escamillo, e non mi è piaciuta Violetta nell'ultimo atto vestita e truccata di tutto punto e anche "sufficientemente" in forze ....La direzione musicale così così, bello non aver apportato "tagli" alla partitura, ma qualcosa non andava in certi punti.

Infatti nella Traviata dovrebbero cantare 3 tipi di Soprano, un leggero nel primo atto, un lirico nel secondo e un lirico scuro per affrontare la seconda aria del terzo atto
Bons cantores, orquestra bem conduzida; mas fizeram alterações de cena que não se justificam, sem nenhum sentido, e de mau gosto; por que mudar, e para pior? Respeitem as obras e a memória de quem as criiou.

Trascurabile esecuzione, scene esagerate(i palchi?), costumi eccellenti, diverse forzature nei movimenti di scena, lei sufficiente, Alfredo appena decente, Germont...meglio non parlare, già dalla pronuncia, il timbro...è meglio non aggiungere altro... 👎👎👎
È vero che l'accento di Germont è tanto marcato, ma ha un bellissimo timbro, così come Violetta

To be honest I didn't like it. My main problem was their voices. They were ... Lifeless, unimportant. Alfredo especially sounded liked nothing like an opera singer. And violetta was empty, a voice just singing notes with no passion. And it seems to be a very expensive production. I wonder what happend there 🧐
La voce di questo Alfredo è rossiniana, barocca... per un repertorio musicalmente più leggero
