    Hello Vee Kenobi,
    Great video! Please keep in mind that our support team only works Monday-Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM. I believe our current response time is within 24 hours and we should be able to get the speaker and pogo issue resolved within a very quick timeline.

      Hello! Thank you for reaching out. I sent an email a while back but never got a response. Maybe my email got directed to your spam folder, that happens at the company I work for sometimes so it’s very possibly lol. I’ll be sure to send a new email and see what we can do. Thank you again for reaching out. Love your sabers.

    Myself, I have only 1 Sabertrio (Arclyte- Dark Edition) from back when they only sold base lit hilts. I'm a tinkerer and took it apart (voiding the warranty, but it still works, so I'm ok with it) and had a couple gripes with the build quality of the internals. The chassis supports the electronics fine, but they used very thin (4 stranded) wires to go to the led module and had some shoddy soldering, which I repaired. The battery holder was actually broken, but some plastics adhesive worked quite well to fix this also. Overall, I'm fine with the lightsaber, but, I'm not likely to buy from them again. I can buy comparable priced hilts from other vendors that have designs I like, which have more sound options.
    I haven't purchased from IW. Their designs just don't fit for what I'm looking for these days.
    These are only from my viewpoint, so I hope others have different or better standards than mine.

    I hope people realize that Imperial Workshop is just a reseller of LGT sabers, like the two you showed. FYI, you can adjust the clash sensitivity on Xeno boards by editing the config file or use the bluetooth app if you have a Xeno3. If you want to retract the blade quicker you can enable motion controls. I have mine set to twist to retract and it's instant.

    I have the arc from Imperial Workshop as well, and I find that I have no issues when it comes to the sound. When you talk about the deactivation and how long it takes, using gesture controls is instantaneous. One last thing, I have to correct you on your soundfont for Obi-Wan Kenobi, that's actually Anakin Skywalker. The soundfont for Obi-Wan Kenobi's is six up right past Count Dooku

    I’ve always been a fan of Luke’s style of ignition, it’s more of a SQWAH instead of the more standard BSHH.
    I really like the Codex of Light font on the IW saber that more mechanical ignition is satisfying to me.
    I’m probably not going to put more fonts on my Vega, I’m just not experienced with messing around in the files, I just don’t wanna break anything in there, I’ll be fine with the stock fonts it’s my first and probably my only saber I’ll get 😂.
    EDIT: question, does the ARC and the VEGA have the same (or at least similar) fonts?

    • @veekenobi

    I've been watching all of your videos on the Vega and awesome job on it! I wanted to use the Vega for spinning and the clash function does seem very sensitive but it might give an interesting effect during spins if it happens. I also believe you can mess with the fonts/settings and turn off clash if its really a big deal. I haven't seen all of your videos but do you have any spinning tutorials or just spinning in general?

    How do they differ in brightness and fullness? I am a big fan of the Arc from IW, especially the Hatred soundfont, but worry about the brightness. Is Sabertrio much brighter (especially in red/orange).
    Basically, is it worth it to get a cheaper hilt and soundfont I really like, or pay more for (allegedly) much higher brightness?
    Edit: I think your car analogy helps. Because I would buy a WRX but also if I had the cash I’d just buy a Porsche.

    • @veekenobi

      @@veekenobibut what exactly is the factor that causes the difference in brightness and loudness? Issit just the fact that one is cfx and the other is xenopixel?
      Edit: I suspect your IW had heavy grade blades as that’s what they ship with while your Saber trio is mid grade? I know this factors into brightness. And some pummels are known to be better sound amplifiers than others so maybe brightness and loudness were not affected by their build quality

  • @jedirogar
    @jedirogar 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    With the cfx S3 you should be able to save color when you keep going past blade profiles to color profiles and should save while in deep sleep.
    There’s a lot you didn’t go over as far as features with the cfx soundboard!!
    Xenopixel offers limited customization IF you have a customizable one, there are a lot you can’t add fonts or customize!
    To add, Xenopixel will not ever be as customizable as CFX!! What you can’t customize on the fly, if you do it on the sd card(full manual read recommended first!) or use the real-time editor(R.I.C.E. Program) you can customize blade behaviors, flicker and how much, ignition styles/timing/characteristics as well as retractions, ALL sensitivity parameters, change to a 32 color spectrum and blade styles and even create custom colors through color values using rgbw parameters!!
    You need to get both the kenobi and ep1 Obi fonts from Kyberphonic my man lol!!
    Also check out the Smugglers Outpost 22mm elite speakers to upgrade!

    • @veekenobi
      @veekenobi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I have the most current CFX update on both my Sabertrios and neither one of them save color once you go into deep sleep, I don’t think that’s a feature yet. Also at the moment the arc v2 is on sale, but the vega v3 with Neopixel Xenopixel V3 is only $170, so you have some good options right now if you care about your budget

    A lot of your issues are things that can be fixed with programming. Gesture controls are available, and those are an "instant off" function. Clash effect sensitivity can be lowered or raised (raised if you don't want accidental clash). As far as light saber companies go, I love Imperial Workshop, and their response time is 24-48 hours, not certain how long after you messaged them you uploaded this video. The issue I was having with mine has been rectified, and they sent me a new part to swap out on the saber and everything is functioning properly. It feels like part of your information the two were a little misinformed. You did have a lot of good information, however, so thank you for that.
    P.S. That sound font that reminds you of Kylo Ren, entitled "Hatred" is a Darth Malgus sound font.

  • @DonniesLab
    @DonniesLab ปีที่แล้ว +14

    Have to disagree on Imperial Workshop. They only offer a 14-day warranty and there are a lot of other shops offering most of the same sabers with a year long warranty. For the average user, it's worth going to another shop for a better warranty even if it's a little more expensive. Until Imperial Workshop changes their warranty policy, I can't recommend them to the average person looking to get a lightsaber.

    • @GYB7
      @GYB7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly I think the quality of Imperials sabers for the price is 12/10, I have a Vega saber and I have a Sabertrio CrossGaurd, phenomenal quality and stuff but every time I pick up my Vega I’m like “dang this one is super good too!, and it was basically less than 200 dollars!” Now, it’s not as masterfully crafted but still good, I will say though, Imperial has IMO the ONE of the best blade qualities while also being 20$ cheaper than other companies

I have factual proof they said they never got an email from you. And the other hard evidence is about 9 videos with unresolved issues from fonts to battery issues. I reported it to them immediately and told me I basically don’t know what i am doing. When i told them i program Proffie sabers left and right. If you want to see the results of my findings go to my TH-cam page on the playlist Imperial Workshop Defective sabers part 1-9. Hit me up if you need help Jedi.
      Us Jedi’s must get rid of toxic sixth companies. They also told me in an email that 20000 sabers went out and that .1% are defective. That means that 20 of us got screwed when they supposedly QC’D these according to Brett. Gotta put people in place if they intend to screw over people and not think any repercussions will happen. I told them zero percent of problems should be the case if they were qc’d.
      Send me an email and I will make you privvy to the conversation as they stated they never heard about you or even know you. Got your back Jedi. Tell others to stick with Sabertrio. Better Company. Way better customer service that recognize if a problem exists, they take care of it.

After having found Imperial workshop a few weeks back. I realized for the same price, that I would pay for a single Sabertrio, I could get multiple hilts from Imperial workshop.
