Sadly the ignition options i thought were depressing, because I didn't know what i wanted was Digipixile and up because of the way the sabers light up. SO now that I know thank you for this.
Great idea to give a guide. When I started my collection in 2020 I didn't know there even was different soundboards , I went and started on Ultrasabers that I thought were premium back then. Ah thanks glad I could help! No there's no difference in brightness or colour between the soundboards, its all to do with the blade itself, there are places that you can get super bright blades from but they come at a premium price which can be almost as much as the saber! The blades that come with sabers are super bright anyway so I've never seen the need to get the higher priced ones

Ok so for something like that you're looking for people who sell specific blades, the KR pixel stick is known for its brightness, but if you want to go next level you should check out civilised sabers and their tri, Quad and Penta blades, they are not cheap but they are the brightest you can get!!!

After CFX released the GraFX upgrade Proffie was dead to me. Now even I can make animated ignition sequences easily. It’s just easier to use than Proffie. Sure you can technically do “more” with Proffie, it’s true…but can “YOU” do more with Proffie? Most people can’t do “more” and in fact proffie makes doing little things really hard… IMHO Proffie being able to do more is a dead argument for all but the most advanced users. Besides changing sound fonts, what’s more exciting than adding new pre-on’s and post-offs, blade styles and animations, custom RGB accessory lights and other installer friendly features. For the life of me, I don’t know what Proffie does more of that matters more than most of those things I already mentioned. Buy what you want, but don’t get sucked into the “MoAr” argument, just get the thing you can use and is easy to use.
this is true. my first was a proffie but when i got my cfx a few days later i fell in love haha. The only thing that bothers me about the cfx is that with the smooth swing, after a few seconds, the file changes, so it changes during the swing, from smooth swing file 1 to the 2nd, and the sound cuts every time. that doesn't sound so nice. if you know what I mean. this is not the case with the proffie. you can swing all the time without sound cuts. my golden harvest is coming on saturday, i'm looking forward to it.
Ok I am understanding some of the types of lightsabers bc I was looking through some sabers and there were loads of types and I was very confused. I was looking for a tonfa but only see it on ultra lightsaber
I would steer clear of ultrasabers personally, but you can get a tonfa grip as an add on for any of the basic hilts from Padawan Outpost padawanoutpost.com/products/tonfa-grip?variant=44603310997746
@@FulcrumForce Hello, sorry to bother you again but right now I'm on the website and I see the parts and all but I wanted to customize the baton grip which is available rn and I need to know which part I can customize it from. Is there any suggestion you can kindly give me when trying to shop on padawan outpost? Tbh I think I could assemble it if I was to get a black and blue hilt from another website
The main difference in duelling is the difference between base lit and neopixel, base lit can take a lot of duelling, I've actually done a video on the damage a neopixel blade can take th-cam.com/video/-jlnw_lV3wc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=euabgCh3dgUzwWIq
@@FulcrumForce honestly, i came in looking for character hilts but they ree way too expensive it seems :/ Then again, i d really hate to just settle for a plain silver/black one without any details

@@FulcrumForce wow icl, just visited the website and they definotely got some of the besstt looking stuff for those prices! But everything seems sold out lol 😅
If you get the hilts from a company that sells lgt they use the same speakers in both types of hilts, higher end sabers tend to use better quality speakers and they are normally the higher end boards so proffie, cfx and golden harvest
maybe not in quality, but in something else. a xenopixel v2 is missing a lot of sound data that cannot be played. these include, for example, endlocks, preons, enddrags, accent swings, and so on. I think the v3 has added that by now. but you can no longer upgrade your xenopixel v2, because they made a completely new board out of the xenopixel v3.
Depends what you want and how much you want to spend, but places I've bought from and I'm super happy with are Padawan Outpost (use code FULCRUM for 5%off), ForceSabers, KR Sabers and Sabertrio

@spectronic9334 so yeah, neopixel is what people refer to the blade as and there are quite a few different boards that take neopixel blades, Xeno, SN, Proffie, Cfx, Golden Harvest, just to name a few!
So neopixel is not a brand? Hmmm.... so then which brands do you shop with? My Facebook feed is full of them now and I don't know who the reputable ones are.
@Laich1277 yeah that'll happen!!! After CFX released the GraFX upgrade Proffie was dead to me. Now even I can make animated ignition sequences easily. It’s just easier to use than Proffie. Sure you can technically do “more” with Proffie, it’s true…but can “YOU” do more with Proffie? Most people can’t do “more” and in fact proffie makes doing little things really hard…
IMHO Proffie being able to do more is a dead argument for all but the most advanced users.
What about kyber light and their “kyber pixel”?
Kyberlight are a TXQ reseller, so very much on the same level as LGT/Nexus sabers so more entry level, but TXQ sabers are pretty nice!
Ok I am understanding some of the types of lightsabers bc I was looking through some sabers and there were loads of types and I was very confused. I was looking for a tonfa but only see it on ultra lightsaber
I would steer clear of ultrasabers personally, but you can get a tonfa grip as an add on for any of the basic hilts from Padawan Outpost
padawanoutpost.com/products/tonfa-grip?variant=44603310997746
@@FulcrumForce ok Thanks, and if I was to get it from Padawan outpost then where can I get the blade? I mean idrk tbh or where to start
@@Sparten-177 the blade comes with it! You get everything you need for you to start using it!
@@FulcrumForce ight Thank you👍🏽
@@FulcrumForce Hello, sorry to bother you again but right now I'm on the website and I see the parts and all but I wanted to customize the baton grip which is available rn and I need to know which part I can customize it from. Is there any suggestion you can kindly give me when trying to shop on padawan outpost? Tbh I think I could assemble it if I was to get a black and blue hilt from another website
Do the different boards have different duel durability?
The main difference in duelling is the difference between base lit and neopixel, base lit can take a lot of duelling, I've actually done a video on the damage a neopixel blade can take
th-cam.com/video/-jlnw_lV3wc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=euabgCh3dgUzwWIq
What's the difference between base-lit and rgbx
Rgbx is still base lit but it's the newest version of rgb that has gesture controls and other additions not found in rgb
Do you have a recommendation for a reliable kinda cheap xenopixel saber store?
Best place I can recommend is Padawan Outpost, best prices and best customer service!
How about reliability? I had a rgb baselit and a xenopixel from ES Sabers, both died in under 6 months with only light use!
I have over 30 sabers from various places, never ES, but I've had no issues at all and I use mine a lot!
@@FulcrumForce Thanks, good to know. I'll go back to them 👍
So if i have RGB i cam chose any color or only green, blue and red ?
Any colour, it uses the combination to make the other colours!
So the brightest are the neopixel? Looking for the brightest, but i also want to spend under 220 which is difficult when i d like an actual nice hilt
Yeah, due to them having LEDs in the blade you get no light drop off like you do with base lit, are you looking to get a character hilt?
@@FulcrumForce honestly, i came in looking for character hilts but they ree way too expensive it seems :/ Then again, i d really hate to just settle for a plain silver/black one without any details
@MajinMatta tbh if its your first hilt, I'd save a bit more and get what you really want, you can start getting character hilts and nicer sabers from around 250, also if you decide to go with Padawan Outpost then you can use the code FULCRUM for 5% off!
@@FulcrumForce wow icl, just visited the website and they definotely got some of the besstt looking stuff for those prices! But everything seems sold out lol 😅
@MajinMatta it's only out of stock for a week or so, they restock very often and have the best customer service!
Hello there,
is there a difference in sound quality between xeno and proffie?
If you get the hilts from a company that sells lgt they use the same speakers in both types of hilts, higher end sabers tend to use better quality speakers and they are normally the higher end boards so proffie, cfx and golden harvest
maybe not in quality, but in something else. a xenopixel v2 is missing a lot of sound data that cannot be played. these include, for example, endlocks, preons, enddrags, accent swings, and so on. I think the v3 has added that by now. but you can no longer upgrade your xenopixel v2, because they made a completely new board out of the xenopixel v3.
Where did u get the xenopixel lightsaber. And did it come pre installed with the features
It's the fallen prince from ForceSabersUK and yeah everything is ready to go with it you can just unbox it and it's good to go!
@@FulcrumForce Thanks so much
Keep up the good work on ur videos
@@wolf104th8 thank you! 😊
Could i ask what the font at 9:10 was, thanks
Ooh that one is actually my custom made soundfont called Dume!
Can you use a Xenopixel V2 Soundboard to dual someone?
You can, after a while of heavy dueling the blade might have some damage like leds out but you just replace the blade and its all good
Any recommended sellers?
Depends what you want and how much you want to spend, but places I've bought from and I'm super happy with are Padawan Outpost (use code FULCRUM for 5%off), ForceSabers, KR Sabers and Sabertrio
I'm 53 years old. Been a Star Wars fan since '77. I'm watching this video in March 2024 looking at purchasing a lightsaber for the first time and this video has been invaluable. As a saber newbie I have learned so much from your tutorial and enjoyed your video immensely. Thank you!
Ahh thanks! I'm glad I could help 😃😃
so a xenopixel and neopixel can be in the same saber?
as in,xenopixel is the board for sounds, neopixel os for the blade?
@spectronic9334 so yeah, neopixel is what people refer to the blade as and there are quite a few different boards that take neopixel blades, Xeno, SN, Proffie, Cfx, Golden Harvest, just to name a few!
So neopixel is not a brand? Hmmm.... so then which brands do you shop with? My Facebook feed is full of them now and I don't know who the reputable ones are.
Well I can give you info of which companies I buy sabers from?
@Fulcrum & The Force that would be amazing! Because they are flooding my Facebook and Instagram since doing one search lol
@Laich1277 yeah that'll happen!!! OK so the two maim companies I buy from are Padawan Outpost and ForceSabers, they are both UK based but ship worldwide, padawan sells your character hilts where forcesabers make more handmade hilts they design, also if you go with Padawan you can use the code FULCRUM for 5% off
Is Makoto sabers brightest?
Makoto sabers are amazing but they're definitely not the brightest, the Tri, Quad and Penta blades from Civilised Sabers are by far the brightest blades you can get
@@FulcrumForce thanks for the reply :) when i was looking to buy one like5-6 years ago someone told me makoto was brightest but i guess alot have happend since then.
At the start, explain the pricing you would, you said. Wait I did, mention prices, you did not.
I do mention which ones are entry level and which ones are the higher priced sabers but it's nearly impossible to say exactly how much all sabers cost as they have a very varied range from £80 to over a £1000
Hey @@FulcrumForce thanks for replying! Yeah I understand - I guess I was just looking for some rough ideas... one of our children has put neopixel lightsaber on their Christmas list (along with other things) but I'm thinking rgb may be the only realistic type to aspire to!
@thejoelpridmore if you head over to Padawan Outpost you can get pretty much everything from the lowest to highest, including really good prices on neopixel sabers! Also if you use the code FULCRUM you can get 5% off your order!
Real question is: where to buy it? I only see scams and scams
Well as it goes, I have a video for that too!!
