What editing has happened here. This is basic. You've taken the original promotion video. Dropped the volume a little and just stuck space oddity over the top.
I ripped the sounds from the game files and layer them over the footage, I also when into FL Studio to add effects, EQ and level out sounds. It may not seem like it but there's quite a lot going on under the hood. The Original Video had an orchestral piece playing in the background, I didn't want it to clash with the new song I added so I had to recrate sounds and replace them for the video. They were also using Halo 3 sounds so I also replaced them with Halo Reach sounds. Every other sound that I couldn't rip (Bomb sounds, Jetpack, ship explosion, etc.) I had to create myself on FL Studio. That and ofc I tried to make background sounds louder than the original trailer. It was a slower and a lot more calm, so I tried to make it sound more bombastic and loud. Similar to how Halo Reach usually feels. I even went so far as to add the Xbox 360 logo sound effect at the end of the video, when there wasn't one in the original.
A small project I've been working on. Wanted to improve my Audio and Video Editing Skills.
