A defense mechanism is a psychological strategy used by individuals to cope with stress or anxiety. These mechanisms help protect the mind from uncomfortable thoughts or feelings. Examples include denial, where someone refuses to accept reality, and projection, where they attribute their own unwanted feelings to others. Defense mechanisms can be helpful in short-term situations but may cause issues if overused.

As a 24 year old with autism I find these videos very helpful, thank you for making these and spreading knowledge. We die when we stop learning

I think you feel the need to share that you are autistic on the internet even though it’s unrelated to the subject. I could be wrong though.

The difference between Intellectualization (admitting that something happened and that it was bad, but talking about it technically as if from a scholarly, third-person perspective, while avoiding emotion) and Rationalization (providing a superficial, seemingly logical reason to something bad, often by omitting a lot of relevant facts, but sometimes by claiming absurd reasoning to be logic, e.g. "He is nice but he must have been an asshole in a past life, so he deserved being stolen from" or "If they scream when I hurt them, it must mean they are enjoying it and that's just their way to express excitement"), could have been stressed.
Edit: Isolation of affect is also similar but different from intellectualization.
    Nice job overall, though!
    Edit 2: grammar

nicely explained. I wonder are defense mechanisms good/bad for a individual? Intuitively, some of them seems bad and others feels quite health. If someone were to not to use any defense mechanism, how will they deal with bad events?

Some are healthy, some are unhealthy, some of the unhealthy ones can be temporarily useful and acceptable and understandable and bearable during moments of great stress, as long as you work through it later. Well, actually they're all "understandable" in the sense some people are more fragile and have been pushed to the edge early on, so you get where they are coming from, even if their behavior is unacceptable. 🤷
*_You may want to look up "healthy/mature/good defense mechanisms" if you want to dig further_*
