Fake Introverts Are Everywhere (And it's Annoying)
มุมมอง 2334 หลายเดือนก่อน
As an introvert, it's frustrating when outgoing people and social butterflies confidently tell me they’re introverts, too. Their assertions can feel like a dismissal of the experiences and struggles I face daily as an actual introvert. These outgoing people might occasionally feel like they want alone time, but let’s be clear: that doesn’t make them introverts. So in today’s video, let’s look a...

Every Freudian Dream Interpretation (Explained in 4 Minutes)
So, I take that this is a general overview of their approach to psychology. But, I can already see problems with both of their approaches to psychology. Especially with Freud and his beliefs about sexual desires. Jung’s I am less critical but his beliefs about dream analysis I would not put much stock in them. I’m some cases they can be insightful but other times they can be misleading.
Sir..Can u explain the relationship between fluid intelligence & Working memory...?
This is a great video! Learned a lot thank you so much!
Short & simple! Thanks! ... the example of "phonemic processing" makes is just the auditory variant of structural processing visual example ... could you use another example which makes the difference clearer?
ewww AI
Thank you. This was really helpful.
this is less then three minutes :(
Both of these figures heavily contributed to psychology, but I'd choose Sigmund Freud any day of the week. His approach is more defined, objective, and unbiased
what souces did you use for this video?
Do birds have this too?
The more I hear about Carl Jung, the more I like him.
What are some examples of Neutral Stimulus? Can a toilet be a Neutral stimulus? A tree? I keep getting caught up on the word "stimulus" which in my mind wants to go to a bell, a buzzer. An action word.
note that being a strong man dosnt make you a toxic man as much as people these days would like you to think. Be a strong man!
when a war breaks out toxic masculinity is what you need to survive and win, and what defenseless people like women, children and elders will expect from men
Interesting
Do toxic femininity next.
What is toxic femininity? Not examples of women being toxic but specifically toxic behaviors that society tells women they must do to be women. I’m genuinely curious.
@@missinterpretation4984 manipulativeness, emotional abusiveness and control are very strong toxic feminine behaviours
@@graemesutton2919 As I asked, can you give examples of how our culture tells women they need to be emotionally abusive in order to be considered a real woman? It’s not can women be emotionally abusive, it’s where are we told we must be emotionally abusive?
@@missinterpretation4984 do not mince words. You are dodging the facts
@@graemesutton2919 I don’t think you know the meaning of either sentence you just typed. 😂
Superb, indeed. 😅 Having a test on this, soon.😅

Very informative and interesting.
Excellent presentation. I'm really enjoying your content. Interesting topics, quickly & simply explained, with clever use of images to reinforce understanding.
You explained it so easily and clearly, thank you so much!💗
Isn't I.D. pronounced "id" rhyming with rid, hid, bid//

Your attempt to be neutral to this method is dangerous, and is giving it to much credits! There are no controlled study's that point out that FC really works, and there are a very great lot of study's that show that the facilitator is the author of the communication. This is confirmd in scientific reviews. A Abuse of Human Rights (because you pretend that the client is responsible for the messages while he/she isn't) or Stolen Voices (what the person tells with body language is replaced with what the facilitator manipulates). There are a lot of victims from this method, and the 'wishfull believers'. Both groups deserve better
Please stop using shitty ai thumbnails. This is a good video and the thumbnail just makes it look cheap and like an auto-generated video
Excellent presentation. However, there is another dimension of "control" too; and that is divine intervention/management of our affairs (a spiritual concept) ...

I have a Behavioural Science (Psychology) degree & was raised by a mother with undiagnosed OCPD with comorbid moderate grandiose narcisstic traits who remarried a HSP codependent enabler with a fawning trauma response. This meant that they would fit the "disorganised style" that mental health practioners often use to describe parents who are very inconsistent (as I'm sure you would already know) b/c they oscillate b/w several styles. I'd describe their particular style as esp. COMPLEX & challenging in the following way: It was a highly critical & perfectionistic environment (OCPD), compounded with plenty of gaslighting & devaluation, as well as all the other usual narcisstic traits, such as grandiosity & dominance. Because I was the "Golden Child" till my mid to late teens (strong source of narcisstic supply), I had plenty of freedom outside the house (but felt very micromanaged in it, b/c of the underlying OCPD). This would not last though, because I would eventually become the "Scapegoat" as I entered my late teens & began to openly & strongly speak out against emotional abuse when I saw it, plus started to fall apart myself, showing signs of EXTREME pathological perfectionism, social anxiety, & depression (as well as a number of other psychological comorbities). This, not surprisingly, resulted in an ever increasingly more aggressive & critical parental style, as I got older. This also meant that healthy boundaries were NOT respected right from the start, resulting in a great deal of enmeshment, parentification & emotional incest during my early years, plus high levels of overprotectiveness, that collectively would fit the "Devouring Mother" type classification, as well as the typical "cotton-wool/snowplow/helicopter" parenting style. My stepfather, on the other hand, was far more consistent, but quite passive overall, largely operating under my mother's control. So as you can see, it was a very complex mix of individual & oscillating parental styles, which I still find incredibly challenging to this day. Before I (finally) go, I just wanted to congratulate you on the quality of your channel. I've only just started viewing your content, & find it not only very accurate (subject to the tight time limits you have imposed on yourself, obviously for the sake of your viewers), but also extremely clear & easy to digest for all audience levels. Well done. I will continue to work my way through your channel, viewing those uploads that interest me the most chronologically (yes, that's a rigid perfectionistic pitfall from my childhood, unfortunately). BTW: I'm very sorry about the incredibly LONG rant plus veering off-topic just a bit, but (as I'm sure you can tell), I have pretty strong emotions around the issue of parenting.
This video is great, really helped out and very nice and short. Video isn’t boring and voice is consistent and a great speed. Keep it up, you’ll come very handy this school year.
I have standards. Not settling. I listen to so many people who settled and are miserable. Nope.😊
Great video 3 Minute. Thanks for breaking this down succinctly.
Oh Jesus - that’s me single forever then - I’ve got 7 out of the 10 issues! Worryingly my ex has all 10 (or maybe 9 if I’m feeling generous).

This channel is going to rule the psychology world soon... 👍
Meaning in life comes when we freely engage in activities of giving and service to others without the personal need for any reward attached to this . This may be parenting , helping others less fortunate , nursing , community work etc .
Im waiting for the explanation about dreaming of Urinating and Pooping.😅
I wish it was easier to spot narcissistic behavior. But I guess that’s kind of the point. They want to disguise themselves until it is too late.
Funny thing is: I'm watching this video, not because I want to know if the other person has those red flags, but because I wanna know if I have those red flags.

Reading broadens your vocabulary a bit but I know enough people who read to know it defintely does not increase intelligence like many claim...
That's why read a book about math/physics cause you will need to understand the topic before you go over another topic.

Amazing bro❤, straight to the content. High quality
This is fantastic! These 3 minute videos are allowing me to put into words what is happening within my self
Thanks for this fine compilation. Victor Frankels stance on meaning is capable of turning Abraham Maslows pyramid of needs around. Joseph Campbells elaboration on the monomyth seems useful for orientation in life as a 'heroes journey' following your bliss and finding meaning in crisis as chance for growth and development. I find happiness and humor increasingly important on my lifs journey and it seems simplicity is my way. A job I find meaningful and entertaining, a family and some bodywork. Simple pleasures, lifelong learmning and curiosity.
Hands up if you watched this video to work out the weaknesses of intellectualising so you can more effectively address them
I have all 🦇
This style also relies on the fact that your team is 100% reliable if you give them freedom. Some are just not wired that way and require some micromanaging...
Stop using A.I.-generated thumbnails.
Why?
@@3-Minute-Psychology Well, there are plenty of reasons: Normalization of lack of consent and theft-Models like Stable Diffusion and Midjourney were trained on data from millions of artists and photographers who didn’t consent and weren’t compensated. I doubt the reason they spent their lives crafting beautiful images was for the goal of having their vocation stolen by machines. Opportunity cost-The use of A.I. thumbnails takes the opportunity to create a thumbnail away from a human artist, which costs the artist potential funding to continue pursuing their craft, or potential human connection, or potential recognition, or any number of other opportunities that make the creation process worthwhile. Meaning crisis-When we look at an extremely well-crafted image (e.g., stained-glass windows in a Cathedral or Renaissance paintings of Bible scenes) we are forced to ask, “Why did they believe in the meaning behind this image so fervently that they toiled to express it this beautifully?” In exactly the same way, a beautiful TH-cam thumbnail makes us say, “Wow, they really have something important to say, evidenced by the fact that they put a lot of effort into making sure people don’t scroll past this!” If a beautiful image only takes a few sentences to create, this system is broken, forever. Beauty begins to lose its mystique, and begins to become worthless. Our society already dumps on artists so much. Why do this, too?
@@3-Minute-Psychology First of all, thanks for taking my request seriously and engaging with me here. Second, great video! After watching it, I feel like I still have a lot to learn about intellectualization, but I get that it was just a primer. From now on, it will be a fun challenge to try to catch myself and my friends intellectualizing in unhealthy ways. More to the point, I wrote you a reply explaining why all TH-camrs should stop using A.I.-generated thumbnails, but it seems to have been deleted. My friends and I have noticed that various automated censorship systems (daily reminder that the fact these even exist is horrifying) seem to have been deleting a lot of anti-A.I. TH-cam comments almost immediately. I thought that maybe my comment was just being held for approval, but it’s been almost 24 hours. If you deleted it yourself, well, this is your platform, so I guess I have no right to complain.
@@deshrektives Hi, sorry your reply isn't showing. I'm not sure why. I can see your reply on my backend and I haven't removed it personally. I considered replying to your points and I do take them seriously. Of course, I obviously landed at a different conclusion to you, but it doesn't mean I haven't thought through the points you made in good faith. In fact, I hated AI when it first came out, passionately. I came to my position after my previous livelihood (I ran a psychology blog) was smashed by AI interrupting the blogging industry... after which, I became rather more fatalistic (realistic?) about it all. I quit my job 6 years ago when my blog started making me enough money to make a living. Then AI destroyed the blogging industry, and frankly, 6 years out of the workforce made me rather unemployable. So, after a lot of angst, I decided I could either complain that AI had taken my livelihood from me, or I could see how I could leverage it to see if I can somehow get by in a slightly more dystopian world. The videos here are basically re-packaging of my old website's blog posts. I see myself as that under-employed creator you discussed - at the core of the videos, it's my ideas about psychology that I'm wanting to share, and to share them on TH-cam, I have sought some ways to create simple visuals (remember, this channel isn't even big enough to be monetized yet). It's a systemic issue. As with most things, like climate change, I think being annoyed at individuals trying to get by within the system isn't the right way about it. (Maybe you also drive an electric car, and maybe you also get annoyed at meat-eaters and people who drive gas powered cars for contributing to climate change, but I think likely you recognize in those contexts that we're all just trying to get by in a less-than-ideal system we didn't design). I know we came to different conclusions, but I still worry about the same things you're worried about.
@@3-Minute-Psychology I totally get where you’re coming from. Respectfully, I don’t think climate change is a good comparison. It’s a highly complicated and deeply entrenched feedback system with roots that go pretty far back in time. You can try to save the environment by buying an electric car, but you then get into complex issues like, “Is funding the increased mining of rare Earth metals really a net gain for the environment? What about the lifecycle emissions of this whole production process?” A.I. is a much simpler issue. No one needs to use A.I., and if you use fewer A.I. images, there are fewer A.I. images. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your story, and I sincerely hope you can find your way back to psychology education success. Here goes another attempt to post my original reply:
