I have found so many customers LOVE that we offer sample size bars ( I cut 2 bars out of each loaf in half ) it’s just less than half price of a full bar, it’s a great way to to sell to someone who is on the fence, it gives them an opportunity to try our products or different scents without committing to a full bar. We get a lot of returning customers who try a sample and come back to get full bars!

I have always sold soap and candles in person. My online store is just a backup. When selling items dealing with skin and candles it's supposed to be an intimate experience for them. Something relatable and when people trust you to provide your best product it makes them feel comfortable that you made it natural and not processed. I have had amazing experience meeting people in person to sell my handmade products. You definitely dropped some jewels in this video in regard to the setup and the display stands it looks so natural and how people are drawn to it.

I sell in person mainly and every week is different. There are some products customers wants all year round ( body butters) and other definitely are just winter or summer. Lip balms and shower steamers are perfect examples. Love interacting with customers, just don’t like the loading/ unloading

With regards to selling during a recession, have you heard of the Lipstick Effect? It's when consumers still spend money on small indulgences during recessions, economic downturns, or when they personally have little cash. They do not have enough to spend on big-ticket luxury items; however, many still find the cash for purchases of small luxury items, such as.... soap. So definitely keep selling during recession, as long as market fees aren't excessive.

That is really cool how they are able to make fancy looking soaps which appeals to an alternate niche of buyers, altho the basic looking soaps are just as effective.

Do you have a video up or do you plan on posting one on how you made the soap boxes? I love the idea, especially how they only cover the bottom of the soap. Plus I hate making labels and they never stick right. Thanks :)

For parking in Calgary most parking meters are all by impark, they have an app where you can connect it to your debit or credit card so you dont need to go all the way back to the meter and put change in. Also it’s good to have proof you’ve paid (the app records all your transactions) because sometimes impark will tag your car even though you paid (technical error)

As a customer the signage is so important because I hate having to wait and interrupt the vendor with other customers to ask them basics for the product only to find out it's out of my price range or I'm allergic to something and can't buy it. It's kind of awkward

I was wondering if you have any other ideas that how I can sell my soap other than going to markets. I am a one person business and love making soap. I am an introvert and have a very difficult time talking with strangers. I sell my soaps online and don't do too badly, but it is seasonal. I wish I could follow all of your suggestions, but I get way to nervous and almost give away my product just to get the sale and get them gone. lol

i read up about making soaps and i saw that you are supposed to wear a respirator ,gloves and safety goggles because of the lye ingredient in making soaps ...i saw that in a couple of vids you guys don't have on respirators so I think you guys should search it up and do some research....i saw that it is really dangerous to not wear one
