    Amazing! I make body butter very similar to yours. May I suggest not allowing it ro get completely solid before whipping. I usually start whipping when it’s 80 percent solid but still has s liquid texture. It fluffs up really nice. Also, have you considered piping it in the jar instead of spooning it in? Not as messy. ❤️ Awesome video!

    I was just talking to my daughter about you both last night .
    My daughter and I are planning on trying our hands at a small business here in NY .
    I have a couple recommendations for you .
    Try using disposable pastry bags . Fill them from your bowl , then into your jars . You could probably eliminate tapping the jars .
    Second : have you tried pure vitamins E oil on your psoriasis ? My mother got rid of hers by opening capsules and rubbing it in , and I had given a lady in Alaska a bottle of E oil . She has psoriasis that made her hands raw . After a couple months of using the oil , it didn't come back for the next 6 years I knew her .
    Thanks again.
    God bless you both

I’m just starting to formulate my own body butter. Tried the hemp seed oil and it’s gorgeous on the skin…I love the smell too! As a general guide what would say is a good ratio of hard to soft oils if using mostly Shea? I’ve seen so many recipes varying from 50/50 to 75/25..just want a starting guide 😉. Graininess in Shea butter will probably happen no matter what if the butter when in transit goes from one type of weather/claimant (hot to cold vice versa) changes. The graininess doesn't take away any of the benefits of the Shea butter. Yes, melting slowly helps. I have experienced the graininess when blending Shea in a recipe at room temperature....it still melts when coming in contact with the skin.🤩

I once asked this girl who has a shop on Etsy where she purchases her fragrance oils from. She told me that she doesn’t give out her sources. She said that she is competing with big name companies. Body Butters are tricky. Perhaps to do them well is like making a French Omelet. I do a special recipe for summer and a special recipe for winter. And yes, these butters will melt in the summer heat. Coconut oil melts at 76 degrees F. and here in the Minnesota north we had crazy 85 degree F plus temps. this summer. We're not used to that. Shea Butter is temperature finicky and I tend to baby Shea Butter. I think I sing to it to keep it calm. Ha Ha It does get grainy, if it is shocked by being melted at a hot temp. or even cooled to fast. Something that does help is to make sure Shea Butter is incorporated well with the other butters and oils in recipe. Your end product looks airy and fluffy, like whipped cream. I purchased a Legrand Filling Machine, and it is so easy to use. Fills the jars without the messy tops and sides. it's easy to clean and there isn't much waste. Love It.

      You should be mindful. I remember a friend brought a handmade collard green soap when she tried to use it it had gone bad.

    Use the mixer bowl to melt the butters. It goes right into the fridge and to the mixer when ready.

    Thanks for sharing the video of how to make creamy body butter. I have seen on other TH-cam videos making body butters use a zip lock bag to squeeze into jars. Fill the bag up and snip off at one end at the bottom in a wedge and then make sure top is sealed up then squeeze carefully into a jar in a circular motion to get it in there. Stop at times to tap jar on table to not have spaces in between the butter so it will look nice in the jar. I tried it and it works.

      @@calezimmerman2435 Hi Cale & Jerika! Thanks for replying, I know how busy this business can be. I love the recipe and it turned out great with the tapioca powder! The only thing is, I only got 6 jars from this recipe at 4.5 oz. each and 1 at 4 oz. I used 8 oz. PET jars so not sure if that is the reason? Anyway, not complaining as this feels delightful on my skin!! Thanks so much!!

    The mixing bowls, pots, spatulas etc that they are using when making bath and body products like this. Should they be separate from your cooking ones always? Or does it depend on the products your making and ingredients you use? I can't seem to figure out, since a lot of the time people are making these things in thier kitchens in the videos, if they should be separate ones used only for the bath and body products or if its safe to use something you might cook with later if for instance it goes through the dishwasher? Or does it really depend on what you are making and the ingredients in it?

    • @calezimmerman2435
      @calezimmerman2435 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great questions! Definitely use separate bowls/pots/spatulas than what you use to cook with! Our house in this video we had to make everything in the kitchen we cooked in, but always gave it a good clean every time we either made product or cooked! We recently moved to a new house where we have a separate making studio downstairs!
