I know this was a rough one sorry guys but at least I got something posted from this amazing experience with Joe, Nikon UK & Profoto. Despite the phone frying I have to say it’s a very privileged problem to have just crazy how much is dependent on them for modern life at this stage
Hey Seth this is a great over view of you time in the UK. it was amazing to finally meet you in person and see you get work done ! thanks for being apart of it. Can not wait for the Next time when and where that might be ... maybe ill come to New York loose my phone and get lost seems like the thing to do. 😄 also just incase for everyone who was wondering, he's not as scary as you think he is in person ❤
Hello Seth, Still watching the video but just like to say thank you and Joe for a great interview with Grays of Westminster. Yes Ricci is a one of the good guys, meet him a number of times.
Seth This was another WIN!! The realness, the care for your craft & industry, & the precision in it all!!! Your connection with both Joe & Ricci!! You all made the Main Thing The Main Thing!! Your Own Skills!!! Thanks for Sharing dude!!!
Congratulations, Seth. What great confirmation for you to be honored with this invitation, well deserved! Thanks for your contribution to this industry. What an awesome studio, too!
I appreciate everything I've learned watching you Seth. I'm not a professional by any stretch but Photography holds a special place in not only what I enjoy but who I am and enjoy watching people who have the same amount of passion for their art and the craft.
Seth I'm glad you realize how lucky you are to have Joe as a friend .A great guy and a legend .You are really knocking it out of the park lately .I'm glad to see your hard work paying off for you
A very interesting video, Seth. I live in London and love my city for its photographic opportunities. I am also very happy to be a customer of Grays of Westminster, an outstanding shop, and recently bought a new Nikon Zf from them. I also, to an extent, feel your pain over the phone failure. 3 weeks ago I took a trip to Strasbourg for the Christmas Markets and my iPhone gave up on me for a day. I did eventually sort it out thanks to a great TH-cam channel but I had taken an older iPhone with me as an emergency backup so I was able to swap over the SIM cards and was OK until I fixed the first one. Looks like you had a great trip and I wish I had been able to join you and to learn from the undoubted Masters of their Art.
No apology necessary, Seth. I feel for you. I know what it's like to lose work you've put so much into. Thanks for keeping it real. One day, I hope to get to NY to see one of your Adorama live events in person.
Seth, as you look up to Joe (and who among us doesn't) I watch you and Daniel, and I'm in awe. I wish I had have the talent and even a fraction of your drive. I'd be a lot happier. Keep doing you and killing it, your videos have brought me back to trying to get better again
Great to see you and Joe teaching in London, Seth! And welcome to the extended Grays family. I first discovered Gray and his shop back in the early '90s (in an ad in the back of a UK photo magazine) and through a series of processes over the ensuing decades (too long to get into here), we've become good friends ever since. You're absolutely right: it's one part retailer, two parts Nikon history museum.
I know this video doesn’t match up to the standard you hold your videos too, but you’re a natural in front of the camera and how you’re just being you talking off the cuff is what makes your videos great to me, so this is another great one! So cool that you got to spend time with all the cool people at Grays and of course Joe - hope you eventually got yourself sorted out with your phone troubles!
Congratulations on the subscribers!!! Yes, I know all too well about cell phones going bad. I remember when my Iphone battery decided to die. It expanded quite a bit before it died. Separated the face of my phone from the main part. I'm so glad you had a good time with Joe. In spite of technical issues, you pulled it off. Thanks for sharing with us.
Seth I understand you being particular about the content you create but Mister by now we all focus on the chore context and with you is always on point, thank you!
I really enjoyed this, Seth. It was almost like a rollercoaster and I was wondering what was going to go wrong next. And then it all worked out. And you guys had an awesome workshop! Even better than a terrible outcome! Thanks for sharing what you could with us.
Great video Seth. Even though shit happens it still turned out good. I can imagine those two days being a blast with both Joe & Ricci along with tons of gear to shoot with. You can just feel the good vibes from this video.
Great, Seth. You certainly deserve opportunities like that, and I've always thought that you and Joe make a great combination for photography events. Great stuff! :)
Still catching up on stuff from before Christmas, would have loved to have been down there with you guys, but this gives a great feel of what the trip was about and the real world issues that can happen when you are least expecting them. Hopefully catch you on the next one.
Great to see mutual love and respect for one another Seth/Joe! Absolutely brilliant and full of information. Next time I find myself London will sure to drop into Grays. Also thought you’d end up using your fried mobile as a small light source - it was bright enough😂 I know it wasn’t funny having a brick for a mobile Seth.
Dang! The dynamic duo PLUS Ricci?!?! Come do that in Cincinnati Ohio! We know JUST where to set you up!! Looks like you guys had a blast, except of course for the o so painful phone meltdown. EEEK.
You are his equal! (Joe that is) I can listen to your videos all the time. I appreciate your knowledge. And no need to blow smoke up your butt. I’m very successful in my own right with photography. I truly just enjoy you. Keep up every thing you do!
Joe McNally is the man a GOAT I might add. I always feel you don’t give yourself enough credit. You are equally as good and it is so awesome to have someone like that as your good friend. Happy Holidays and keep killing it!!
Wasn’t really an option when I needed a phone for American networks and I would have eaten time I didn’t have just dealt with it when I got back only a few days without a phone ..was really the loss of footage that sucked
Seth without his phone was living like Guy Pearce from Memento, wow. Also yeah I kind of don't like filming on anything that doesn't have an SD card of some sort that I can get my footage out of since I really do not like dealing with ICloud and AirDrop all that much. At least you were able to get something out and also come home since you were in a foreign land living like you were in the 80's.
Great video, I probably would have become physically ill if my phone died on an international trip like yours did. Way to overcome adversity! Really with @nikonusa would do stuff like this here USA.
As always we learn and this workshop I should have been on, but love the video. Looking for a flash for the Z9, now looking into profoto. Joe was good in the video 👍
Great video all things considered... But there's no apple or att type of store in the UK? I would like to see a getting ready to travel video, like preparing for TSA screening with gear. What are your tips and tricks for travelling.
I didn’t have enough time to play games with getting a phone for American networks while over seas. Was only a few days I just needed my plane tickets squared away at the very least ..it’s a privileged problem to have still consider myself pretty lucky
You were bit slow on the 'all-in' invite uptake. I'd love an opportunity to participate in an event hosted by two of the best presenters in the field. Any workshops planned in the Yukon/Alaska region? (lol).
Shame you couldn't stay longer. I'd be interested in seeing the differences you saw about London and NY. You should have got an A-Z as that would have shown you where to go and tube maps. Come back soon.
I’m sure I’ll be back but it was only a couple days without the phone just sucks I lost all the clips I filmed on it to make this narrative work how I wanted
Yea… I bought the 40mm f2 Z. Low cost fun lens lookin back at the shots from the ZF video using it I decided I wanted it. But other than that they had a 35ti but that was more than I was looking to leave in London this trip lol. Great camera though
You’re quite observant… 🙄it is a video documenting an experience.. the attendees were shooting their images ..they are theirs to share how they wish they aren’t mine to slap in a video for you

What constitutes a Master Class these days? Having all the gear at ones disposal, deep pocketbooks and a celebrity photographer present? This meretricious community is getting old, fast.
Hmm let me think. Maybe a class taught by an expert thier field. Celebrity or not. And yes, these classes are sometimes sponsored and gear is there for use. There are lots of workshops and classes where at least some gear is provided.
This was the second Joe McNally Masterclass I've attended. There were no celebrity photographers there - just talented, creative photographers and models in a wonderful location with great access to equipment with support from Profoto, Manfrotto & Nikon. I've been to a Masterclass with a 'celebrity' photographer - one plain room, one model, one flash, twelve attendees and a photographer who was 90% ego and 10% talent and I learned literally nothing. It was 20% of the cost of the McNally Masterclass and 0% of the value. If you are smart, you'll get what you pay for.

This was an absolute blast! Thanks for stopping by guys, it's been a pleasure to meet & chat with you both! Let's make it an annual event!

What a workshop! Seth, Joe McNally and Ricci. Then you ad Gray who is a legend and Becky and Kon, I’d say you had a phenomenal2 days Seth!
Awesome vid Seth, Love seeing the behind the scenes, and the vibe. You and Joe rock, great to see Ricci in the mix. Looks like an amazing trip !!!!
What a great opportunity. Well deserved . Wish I was there :)..Great combo…Nikon and Profoto. Well done.

Awesome video Seth! Looks like an amazing time in London all around...except for the iPhone disaster!
Yea it’s a privileged problem to have for sure so I still consider myself lucky
It looks like an amazing space to shoot. Great video.

should've gone to the Apple Store in Covent Garden - there are few in London. Ah well, next time!

Great video Seth! So sorry to hear about your phone. Hope you are having a great new year my friend! -(Bullwinkle)
You as well kid
Not sure but would love to see your color gel class you taught in this workshop. Not sure if you can post it tho lol
Loved it!

Any chance of the Joe and Seth show going on the road?
