I had to laugh as the angelic hymn was playing. I grew up with our home in a constant phase of remodeling. As an adult, things just don’t seem right if we don’t have some project or other at least in a planning phase 😅thanks for including the real life struggle ❤
Thank you for this. I'm modifying your build to my application. I'm building an extended depth medicine cabinet, of sorts. No shelves. I'm leaving the back open to access towels from the bathroom that are stored in a hallway linen closet. The bathroom shares a wall with said linen closet. So, the 'medicine cabinet' above the sink will look like a mirrored medicine cabinet but it's actually an access door to the adjoining linen closet. In the future I will add a proper medicine cabinet, following your build, to the side of the sink, like yours.
@@projectreaDIY you can get hinge clip restrictors. They reduce the opening angle. They look like little plastic clips you insert into the hinge mechanism.
@@projectreaDIY Oh wow, a 2020 house sounds like a dream to me. I'm in L.A. and most houses are old. What state are you in if you don't mind me asking?
Is there any way I can get a set of plans with measured drawings? I know its a simple project but I can build with plans; not so much without them. I'm willing to pay a reasonable price for plans. Is there a file repository. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks either way!
The face frame overhangs the inside walls of the cabinet by about 1/4". I think the hinges I used would still work even if you built it flush. I bought mine from the Cabinet Door store (8:53), but I'm sure you can buy a set from a local big box store so you can exchange them if they don't work for a flush face frame.
For painted projects I find it faster to assemble and caulk the joints rather than trying to get all the joints perfect. It's not much caulk - just enough to cover imperfections in the joints.

Thank you for being for real!! Nothing ever goes to plan and it’s important for people to see how to troubleshoot stuff!!!
I enjoyed watching you fit the cabinet into the wall more than I should have. That's how my current project is going right now. Great video!
Excellent video, thank you for this!

Good craftsmanship!
Looks great, I would 100% break my bathroom mirror with the cabinet door lol.
I had to add rubber stoppers to the door to prevent exactly that. Maybe there is a setting on the hinge that would limit swing, I'll have to check.

Thank You very much🙏 just what I was looking for. Very well explain I feel confident to do it my self…🤗
Thank you for this 😊
Beautiful job buddy... well done. † ♥
How can you know that you don't have asbestos in these walls whenever you open them up? The same thing applies to many projects inside the house.
My house was built in 2020, so no issues. Good reminder for older homes, though, thanks

Sorry, I didn't keep my drawing for this project. If you have another cabinet you can take measurements from, I've found that to be the best way.
Is the face frame flush with the inside walls of the cabinet. Im building mine flush so what type of hinge do I need? thank you.

Did you leave the wire pressed against the wall and cabinet?
I built the cabinet a little shallower so as not to put tension on the wire. The wire also had some slack in it.
Very nice work. What are dimensions?
Thanks! The frame is 12.5" wide by 26" tall. There is 1.5" of exposed frame all around the cabinet door.
Why do you caulk the joints?

Trabalho muito bem 🤝 🇧🇷
Great job
