Mine was completely run over by front and rear tires of a Cadillac. She ran over it straight tower to tower and it saved all the electronics and the 2 new batteries Ii just put in it. And she aimed for it and sped up as it sat still. Only damage was broken front top shock screw bent tower, hinge pin and a few other screws. Spent a lot of time off and on but not one dime and now faster than ever. Made me take it all apart to check EVERYTHING. Good work on helping him get back to the hobby by bringing batteries back from the dead for them. 🤙
Guy, you new friend sounds like he's got a British accent. It always makes me smile when I'm running my RC's and the amount of people that stop and watch and have a chat about them. A bit of 'useless' information for you Guy, my job quite often takes me past the Jaguar factory here in the UK👍👍
My dad has a 89 red xjs v12 in mint condition, original rims, just did the brakes, rear inboard brakes. Had to drop the subframe to change the rotors. replaced all the suspension bushings and tires. Drives like a dream and the v12 feels soo smooth.
You have to drop the subframe to replace the rotors? Why? How does that work?? They are some great looking cars, and I instantly knew the car when I saw his interior and that famous J-gate shifter. But I'm afraid of the maintenance, so I can't do it.
Really enjoying this series Guy! I think it’s great you take the time to talk to people about the hobby when they have questions, both kids and adults. Being new to the hobby I always appreciate the insight and knowledge of people have much more experience!
It's crazy how things happens. Just bump into someone and start talking and find out that they have been into RC's as well and all of this was because you had your car out playing with it. I really enjoy seeing how excited you get Tim talking about RC's. Reminds me of how excited I get over RC's.

I had a fairly new battery that ended up discharging too much, and the charger didn't want to mess with it. Somehow, later on the charger decided to take pity on me and my battery was recovered, and charged again. It hasn't had an issue since then. I still make sure to store my batteries in a Lipo bag always.

👍 it's funny how that goes because some people will complain that the conversation that I left n there had nothing to do with speed runs that's the only thing that here for why am I using a road with an arc why am I trying to speedrun a car at a jump it's all funny and the best part is is that everybody can fast forward and do whatever they want so I can see you have dyslexia as well 👍💯😜

Dude you’re so lucky to get a brand new rc10, I got an A stamp Goldpan from my dads old collection that we’re trying to restore. it runs like a dream but the A arms are yellowed and the servo linkage and electronics arent stock. Tell ya what on a 2s lipo it LIGHTS UP the tires and somehow hits ~40 on a brushed system
I love how dense and stable the thing feels, I've never driven one but just seeing and picking one up in the hobby store is wild. The suspension is SO plush.
Kind of does but not because I think the length of distance that I have to travel with the semi wet roads where I would heat up the tires probably would just instantly go back to regular temp sometimes the key is during the run I have noticed when I pull full triggah the wheels spin an amazingly the car stays straight

Not sure if u wanna go that fast but it's definitely a fun speed to go. Gearing won't burn up the electronics. Nice man spread the word that's what do to. 👊

That Jag was going to the Junk Yard that day!!! Easy decision the tow truck called was either dropping it off to the junkyard or my house I chose the $275 scrap weight price he offered.
I would kind of agree the problem is the pavements wet the distance that I have to travel and the setup time but the time I'm ready to go and do my hear nothing see nothing my assumption is that the tires would be cold again it's just a battle it was only 40° and windy so the wind chill plays a factor especially with the wet pavement
Horizons customer service and all their brand Acquisitions are ruining the RC community. Traxxas replaced a 10month old puffy 3s lipo battery for free bc of their warranty. All i had to pay was shipping when i sent the old lipo. Yup their car prices are high and they sue lol but try trading in a bad lipo or broken parts with horizon...
